    21. Braised Beef Noodle Soup
    Katrina T.

Came in late at night right before closing so I had to eat quickly. Firstly, the place has a glass viewing area where you can see them cook which is a nice touch. I got the braised beef noodle soup and pork soup dumplings. The braised beef noodle soup was super good, it tasted very similar to Taiwan's street noodle which I find VERY rarely in America. This was a pleasant surprise! The portion sizes were also big, one noodle soup can feed two with a side. The pork soup dumplings were also good. The skin was a little too thin tbh because it kept breaking but that maybe just be because of the time I came in. The taste was nice, a very typical soup dumplings. I would only say that the prices are a bit steep from what I typically see for these types of food. Overall very good noodles and dumplings.

For those of us that enjoy authentic dim sum, this is a place that cannot be overlooked. Immediately upon entering, you realize you are in for a treat when you see the army of experts making dough, shaping it, and filling it with savory delights. The restaurant space is clean, casual, and simple but a bit tight on the seating. However, it is well worth the wait if needed and you can always take your food to go if you live nearby. They pack everything up really well and the delicate dumplings and buns always survive the journey in my experience.

Wonderful noodle soups! The braised beef noodle soup had tender beef and some of the most flavorful broth I've had! Scallion pancakes are a nice touch and while nothing to write home about on their own definitely satisfy if you're craving them. Soup dumplings definitely hot just the right spot and worth having if you enjoy or have yet to partake. Ultimately though, the noodle soups are the main attraction and you can tweak your dish to how you like it by picking your noodle type and spiciness levels. I'll always make a point to stop by whenever I'm in Pittsburgh.

Ordered pickled cucumber, lamb noodle soup, and dan dan noodles with chicken. The pickled cucumber was a standout -- perfectly spiced and way more delicious than expected. A great start to the meal. The lamb noodle soup had a rich, comforting flavor with a generous portion of tender meat. However, it leaned a bit bland for my taste -- no real spice kick. Once I added some chili oil, though, it really came to life and was quite enjoyable. The dan dan noodles were customized with chicken and turned out great. They had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and the chicken worked well with the sauce. Overall, a satisfying experience with bold flavors and good portions. Would definitely return, especially for the cucumber and dan dan noodles.

This is an amazing little restaurant located in Squirl Hill. We typically get pork soup Dumplings and pot stickers. This time we changed it up. The soup was amazing. And the meat was so tender. The service is so nice and they check I do offer watching to your needs. Highly recommend this place.

If you're craving xlb, this is the place in the area. The service was quick and attentive. The portions were a good size considering the price. They used the space well. we ordered the: Pork xlb - on the doughier side, but it had a nice flavor (you do get 8 but they are smaller for what they are) Shrimp w loofah xlb - refreshing for a hot day Pickled cucumbers - refreshing the portion size was okay for an appetizer

The restaurant was busy when I came by but I didn't have to wait too long for a table. The food didn't take long to come out either. We ordered Turnip Cake, Dan Dan noodles, Braised Pork Belly with Rice, and Pickled cucumbers. I was not a fan of the pork belly rice dish, it felt like it was lacking flavor and the rice texture was unappetizing. The pickled cucumbers were mid and I did not enjoy them either. We got the thick noodle for our Dan Dan noodles and personally I'm not a fan of the thicker noodles but that's on me. The sauce used for Dan Dan was whatever, it's edible but out of all the Dan Dan noodles I have ever tried, this was the most disappointing. The Turnip Cake was pleasant, my favorite dish out of everything we ordered. I don't think I would ever come back here. It's fairly packed, not completely sure why, but it's not worth the wait in my opinion.

For hand pulled noodles, head to Everyday Noodles. My family of three walked in around 1pm on a May Sunday and got a table right away in front of the staff making the noodles. Our server even brought out dough for our eight-year-old daughter to play with, which she loved. To eat, we ordered the bok chuy, dan dan noodles, pork soup dumplings, cucumbers, and hot and spicy noodles. Our daughter loved her soup dumplings. Everything else tasted good, but not as amazing as we expected. The flavors were muted in each dish. Despite that, it was still a fun lunch!

Came here 8pm on a Sunday evening & it was fully packed. It was an efficient operation & we were greeted with a smile, and sat down immediately. The service was prompt from start to finish. We opted for the Oxtail Soup, Scallion Pancake Dim Sum & Pork Soup Dumplings. I also had the Thai Milk Bubble Tea. The food came within minutes & was fantastic. Fresh ingredients & great flavor. I am excited to explore the menu and try more dishes. I enjoyed the open-concept kitchen

I got the chicken noodle soup, which was good (4/5) and a nice amount of chicken and noodles. Nothing too special but good, especially for the price. The service was also good (4/5) and the interior of the restaurant is nice too (4/5)!

The broth had a fantastic beefy flavor, generous portions, and a solid amount of protein. The noodles were great -- you can actually see them making the dumplings and noodles by hand, and the slight unevenness in the noodles really shows that they're fresh. The texture reflects that in the best way. Only thing I'll say is it would be nice to have some chili oil on the table and maybe some pickled mustard greens in the soup -- those little additions would really take it to the next level. Also loved that they had a weekday deal going on, which let us try out more dishes. Dumplings were fantastic too -- super flavorful and juicy. Service was really fast, and the restaurant was clean and well-staffed. Highly recommend this spot!

Such a charming little spot in Squirrel Hill! The menu has a great variety of noodle dishes along with delicious soup dumplings. Everything we tried was flavorful and comforting, but the pork soup dumplings were definitely the standout. The service was attentive and friendly, and while the tables are close together, it creates a cozy, lively atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!

This is about my 100th time here - for obvious reasons. Noodles and dumplings. Everything is always fresh and I've rarely ever had an issue with anything at this spot. Nothing makes me happier than a big bowl of beef noodle soup and dipping dumplings all meal long. Service is always on point and it's a cozy little place!

Thick or thin noodles. Which is better?

If you have any sense that you might like thick noodles, def get them, they're the best

Is it BYOB? If so, is there a corking fee?

It is BYOB and the corkage fee on our bill was $5.00 for five people so I'm assuming $1.00/person.

Do they use MSG in their food preparation?

You can custom your food without or less MSG.

Is this place wheelchair accessible? If not how many steps to get in? Thanks.

The picture of the storefront shows a gradual incline in the entryway. Beyond that, I do not remember any steps into the restaurant. http://www.foodcollage.com/2013/05/everyday-noodles-squirrel-hill.html?m=1

We ordered takeout this time, and the overall experience was great. We placed an order online, and everything was very neatly packaged and ready to go when expected. The food even travelled fairly well, such that it was still in good shape after traveling home. The restaurant itself is in a bit of a drab strip mall, but it's generally nicely decorated with colorful signage and a nicely kept interior. In terms of the food, the shrimp spinach dumplings were really nicely done, with lots of flavor and texture. My partner especially enjoyed the barbecue pork bao, which were nicely steamed with a very flavorful filling. The egg tart was good, but not really my thing. It had a bit of a caramelized sugar flavor reminiscent of waffles with syrup. The spicy oil splashed noodles, one of the noodle dishes on the menu, was generally lacking: some nice toppings, but not much flavor. Overall, this is a nice little place that seems to be fairly well run. I suggest going for the dim sum and giving up on expectations for anything on the menu that isn't dim sum. My husband and I ordered only one plate of Sunrise Chicken Dumplings here--yes, a tiny sampling of the menu. They cost $17 plus tax and tip. Please note that the dumplings that I as a real, paying customer received did NOT look like the dumplings that the Instagram influencers receive. Multiple 5-star reviews below were written by influencers who did Instagram collabs with this restaurant. (Btw, Yelp's policies do NOT permit influencers to write Yelp reviews for collabs.) Their Instagram reels and their Yelp reviews contain images of dumplings accompanied with beautiful plating with extra designs such as flowers. My dumplings had NO extra designs on the plate at all, even though I ordered one of the same flavors. (I acknowledge that some "regular people" Yelp reviewers seem to genuinely like this restaurant, depending on what they ordered.) As for the flavors of the dumplings, both my husband and I thought that the dumplings were definitely some of the worst that we have ever tasted in our lives. They tasted OK only if we doused them with sauce, and they were still NOT enjoyable to eat. My husband was very hungry from eating almost nothing all day, but between the two of us, we did not even finish our one plate of dumplings.

KHAO YUM - 24 This is a 17 ingredient salad with tamarind dressing. I'm not usually a salad person, but this one was incredibly delicious and refreshing. Lots of crispy textures from the various vegetables, some juicy, tart and bitter pieces of grapefruit, and the crispy rice was the perfect fried carb on top. A bit pricy, but a great app to share for the whole table. CRISPY SHRIMP - 32 We were each able to get two pieces of shrimp among the four of us. The shrimp was batter and fried with a sweet garlicky glaze. While it was crispy and juicy, I thought it was a bit too saucy. It wasn't my favorite, but one of my friends really enjoyed the shrimp -- sauce and all. KHAO SOI - 48 The red and yellow curry was flavorful, and the egg noodles were perfectly soft with a bit of chew. The wagyu beef cheek was tender, but there wasn't much in it. Each order came with a whole lamb shank. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful -- it fell off the bone with ease. I highly recommend this entree for its delicious curry and lamb. Overall, pricy food with a elegant aesthetic. It's also more of fusion Thai food than it is authentic.
