I rarely need dry cleaning service, especially now that my job has a work from home set up, but when I do, I'm glad I found Excell Cleaners. I was a little hesitant because of the prior reviews, but I only had a couple pairs of blouses and a couple pairs of pants and this location is super close to my house. The cashier was friendly, and told me about their specials they had, (specials were based on how many items you needed dry cleaned), and the turn around time for pick up was not bad. My items, 3 blouses and 2 pants, would be ready for pick up in 2 days. read more

This place has good prices and my clothes look nice when I get them back, but it's a run-down and dirty location. Every time I've visited, the parking lot is full of trash which makes the area look sketchy. Why can't businesses be better neighbors and keep their properties clean and welcoming? read more

WARNING* YOU WONT BELIEVE THEY COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY $2400 one OF A KIND DRESS AND NEVER CALLED TO TELL ME WHEN I NOTICED IT MISSING FROM MY PICK UP. The owner said he will look for it at drip it off personally and never contacted me. I went up a week later to find out my sequence dress was thrown in the dryer with a bunch of other items and got caught in the dryer. He claims he will contact his insurance but refused to pay me back for he fee of the dry cleaning. That alone is bad business customer service. How does one mess up and not make sure you get the cost of labor back at least. *WARNING* do not go to this place with valued items. NOT WORTH TRUSTING THEM. The owner will not apologies. He just says he feels bad for being accused of the run around. Excuses to avoid empathizing. He just says he "would be mad too", but never sorry. Ive been coming here for some time now leaving bulks of clothing. The employees are friendly. I have had complaints in the past but the most important one, mainly about an expensive Jersey, was resolved. I been coming her for a year and they always get my clothes right. Never have they damaged any of my clothes like other places. The staff is great. They always as if I need help to my car. The are also fast on the dry cleaning services until other places who take over a week to get it ready. They give you a discount if you pre pay cash for your dry cleaning. I've been using Excell for about four months now and the owner Miguel, is efficient, customer service oriented, and personable. He has a great "customer first" policy, and the work is first rate. The only issue I have (and the reason for four stars, not five), is the time it takes to get the dry cleaning back (dropped off early Friday afternoon, back on Tuesday after 5pm). Parking is marginal, the work truck is usually parked in a space in front of the shop, negating a customer parking spot. Overall though, a great service! read more

I have been visiting this cleaner for quite a while as they are very close to home. Here is what I love the most about them. Service is their bottom name. Recently, I came by at 10 am and I needed a shirt pressed before the end of the day. I was blown away they had it back in 4 hours. On another occasion, I brought a bag to repair. They said, we don't do it but here is where you can get it done. The referral was great. Furthermore, another occasion I was in a hurry again and going on a business trip once again they made the referral to another place who could help me out. I took in my Gucci purse to the Excell cleaners in Sylmar and I was told she would call me back with the price. She said she would send it out because they don't clean leather at the premises. I received a call within 15 minutes saying it would be $65.00 dollars. I said fine. I tried to retrieve my purse 2 weeks later and was told it was there but was in the back in a box... I was concerned! I came back videoing the next day! The same clerk I gave my purse to brought out a purse that clearly wasn't mine with cut marks all over it a obviously fake Gucci! The clerk said, " oh the leather is thin that's why there are the cuts" I said this isn't my purse! She then brought out a picture of this same fake Gucci saying this is a picture of your purse we sent! Oh my God!!!!! I spoke with a supposed manager, he's blaming the place they sent it out to! No one is calling me back! I've left several messages! The last time I went there the same clerk is telling me to call the place they sent it out to! Come on! This cleaners is unethical! This place is no good. First of all, they want you to pre-pay for their services...first red flag. Secondly, I was told my pants would be ready by Thursday; they weren't. I was told they'd be there by Friday. Went to pick them up after work on Friday...STILL not there! I was told they'd be there within the hour. They told they'd refund me My money. The pants were ready within the hour but it was too late...I had to wear a different suit. When I went to pick up my pants, my refund was not offered again and I told them to keep my money because they just lost a really good customer! Horrible customer service. The absolute worst. Require pre-payment. Clothes take a week to be done. When the week is up, they're not done. "Come back at the end of the day". I come back at 7 PM, "your clothes aren't done...the machine broke" "you didn't know?". The next day....when they finally pick up the phone, she's looking for my clothes (tried to tell me it's supposed to be today after 5 PM - not true....YESTERDAY). Then, after 5 minutes of looking, comes on phone and says "I have a customer here, call me back in 10 minutes).....and hangs up. Another 15 minutes.....they're not answering the phone. Have been using there laundry and alteration business for years , they advertise a $15 10 piece laundry service but put 3 shirts per plastic and they always wrinkle so asked today to put in desperate plastics and get told it's a upcharge I've never been to a cleaner who puts more than 1 shirt in a plastic... lost my business over 50cents and down the street matched there deal and said they only put one shirt per plastic so there loss my gain.. I'm only sorry that I will not be using the alterations lady as she was great well I'll find a new one read more

Horrible, horrible service! I came in on a Saturday and only the owner was there. I had a pick up for 7 items with 1 item in question on how much it's gonna cost. I waited after 3 customers and when it was my turn, couldn't find my items. I even helped looked on the conveyer with negative result. The owner attempted to contact the ladies work there with no avail. Then additional customers came and he had to help ALL of them first before trying to look for my stuff and this time with an attitude. He told me to come back an hour later because there were a lot of people coming in---well, I am a customer too!!! So patiently I did leave and came back after an hour. Then waited again for other people to get helped by him. Still couldn't find my stuff and was asked to call back on Monday. Parking is also terrible!! read more
