Food has always been consistently good. A place the locals go for good sushi, rolls, and also grilled plates! Definitely a cozy vibe. Also great for casual family dinner. Excellent service.

Love this place! I was there for a late lunch, rush hour was over so we had the place to our selves. Simple set up with a beautiful mural covering the wall makes for a fun and practical atmosphere. BD and I decided to have dinner here on our one free night before we hit Downtown Disney. Just 10 min away, the location was easily accessible in a strip mall. We were the only people dining in but we did see a few orders being picked up to go. They have a pretty basic sushi menu and specials listed on the wall. I saw beef curry was a special item so I made sure to order this, in addition to the Sunrise and Dancing Albacore roll. We also had the spicy tuna tacos and gyoza from the apps list. Beef Curry - Big tender chunks of beef, and plenty of it to go around. Carrots and potatoes were cooked perfectly and the curry sauce thick, just how I like. This was served with rice and a side salad, and honestly very filling. I think it must have come with a miso soup too as she put one on the table for us. I only wish the curry could have been made spicier. Sunrise roll and Dancing Albacore roll - Honestly, they're okay. The rolls are cut into bite size pieces which is my preference over huge rolls that require you to unhinge your jaw. For the cost, I guess the quality makes sense. I'm used to bay area prices and the rolls here were only about $12 each so you get what you get. The fish on top did not look or taste very fresh. They were edible sure but the fish a bit rubbery. Gyoza - Okay this actually exceeded our expectations. The gyoza were juicy inside, and crispy on the outside. The dipping sauce had a light sweetness that paired perfectly with the gyoza filling and was a great starter. Spicy tuna tacos - Honestly, kinda mid. The shell of the tacos was delicious and crunchy so I loved the texture but the flavor of the spicy tuna was just eh. It was too tangy and I did not like the addition of cherry tomatoes in this. All in all, I think the place is decent for a quick bite as the food does come out really quickly yet piping hot (for the hot items). The menu isn't the most toddler friendly, but I think that's subjective. If you're from the Bay, the pricing is great but temper expectations for quality.

Came in earlier today. Been here a handful of times by now, and is consistent with food and service. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is pretty spacious, with average seats for 2-4 people, and can accommodate bigger parties. Food was nicely presented and good. We ordered: Ocean Sour Roll, 911 Roll, and Ninja Roll. All had Spicy Tuna / Salmon, and was pretty saucey, so not much need for soy sauce.

We needed a sushi fix after a morning at the local House of Mouse. This place popped on our radar, and we were so happy that it did! Everything was delicious. The fish was fresh and tender. Everything was well balanced in terms of texture and flavors. It was a great protein bump and I would definitely go back. Staff was friendly and service was fast. It was a bit of a slow time when we got there, but the ambiance was chill and relaxed.

Sunrise Roll! Ughhh so good and I love the sauce they provide on the side on to-go orders.

Service took a bit longer than expected upon arrival, restaurant was empty. The food itself was really good, it was fresh, it was yummy and the price points are very fair, especially the appetizers I was shocked how cheap they are. The chicken skin was good, Gyoza are my favs. It's a pretty quiet space, music is very low but I'm sure it can get loud when it's a full house. I would definitely return here. read more

First time trying this place out, I usually come from AYCE sushi places. I wanted something fast soo I stopped at this place. The sushi wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Idk if I got the wrong rolls or what but mine seemed pretty small, compared to other sushi spots. Anyways the server was very nice and sweet. Just idk if I got the wrong sushi's but it was just bland. The rice tasted rubbery and the seaweed was like hard to rip apart in you're teeth. Plus they over did it with the sesame seeds I got a big bite of pure seeds in my mouth. I'll give it one more time in the future and review it again....... read more

The reviews don't lie. The atmosphere is super cute and hip with good music and a chalkboard with cute drawings on the wall. The lady who sat us and helped us throughout the meal was super nice and responsive. Also the pricing is very cheap compared to other places we have been on our trip. 10/10 would come here again and recommend it to any sushi lover. read more

Tried giving this place a second chance, ordered the salmon lover roll to go. After I paid I realized I didn't get a side of sriracha, so I asked the chef for a side. Then this lady who worked there opened my bag to see if there was one inside, she pointed at the side of spicy I asked for over the phone, then said I had to pay for an extra side of sauce. The chef was rude and told me 2x that the bottle of sriracha costs them $12. I didn't mind paying.. I asked how much.. the lady said 50 cents at the same time the chef said $1 lol. Won't be coming back, worst service ever read more

This place opened at the beginning of the pandemic and they survived. Do you know why they survived during the hardest time for restaurants ever??? They survived because of the quality of food is unbelievable high for what they are charging. This place is the best sushi joint in all of Anaheim and probably all of northern OC. read more

We tried this sushi yesterday for our first time, my family and I and it did not disappoint! It was really good! Best jalapeño bombs we have had, ever, even though they are called a heat attack here, LOL. Delicious fresh sushi, multiple rolls and all were awesome! We will definitely be back and would most definitely recommend this sushi spot to family and friends Went again last night, second time, it did not disappoint! Wow, such an amazing experience! This was my first visit here and I will definitely come back. I got a spicy tuna roll and a california roll. Very yummy!! The most spectacular thing was the service. The server was so nice and helpful. We decided to sit outside and the mosquitos were eating us alive. She saw me get up and look at all my bites. She brought us bug repellant and off for us to on! Ordered through Door Dash since we had to take out. The food was neatly packaged and each dish was delicious. We ordered an assortment of sushi. Gotta love jumbo clams and blue fin! Ever since the quarantine, my bf and I wanted to try out some new sushi restaurants and Exo was down the street from us and it's now one of my favorites! We usually get the Baked Salmon and BSC because of their buy 2 get 1 half off deal for cooked rolls and its definitely worth the try! Their off deal rolls like the Rainbow and Salmon Lovers are definitely good too! My favorite is their salmon sashimi in particular! Super high quality pieces and super amazing tastes and texture! Dying for a change of pace the other night. So glad I found this place. Pick up was fast and easy. We ordered seaweed salad, cucumber salad, Mixed Tempura, Crunchy Veggie Roll, Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, and California Cut Roll. Everything was really good. And the staff was super nice, even threw in a Thai Iced Tea. I'm not as big on sushi as my boyfriend, I was so glad they had several veggie roll options. Super disappointing. The yellowtail sashimi did not taste fresh at all, The Gyoza was bland and came out warm not hot. I ordered the K-1 roll and really did not like the house sauce on it even though the reviews on it are good. I normally like anything with tuna and cilantro but this was not it. Honestly I only ate it because I didn't want to send a second thing back to the kitchen. The restaurant was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, The presentation of the food was beautiful and the prices were fairly good but I would not return. read more

We were told about this place from a friend who works in a high scaled sushi bar. And they said this place was at least as wonderful as their restaurant. We tried take out last night and it IS FABULOUS!!! All rolls we got were delicious and very fresh!!! We are so excited because we live within blocks of this place. Do not let this place pass you by. Based on my past experience, I decided to get cooked sushi for dinner. To my surprises, the sushi rolls were nasty due to them using old wet sushi rice. They poured too much water into their sushi rice in order to re-use them so it ruined all the rolls. The quality and taste weren't the same. I thought I was eating oatmeal/thick congee with sushi stuffing...4 rolls for $36+. That's more than enough to use decent editable sushi rice. I'm probably going to stay way from this place. read more

Love exo sushi! I work across the street and it's the best hidden gem on the corner of Katella and Euclid of all places. They have toro- bomb!! The sushi is so fresh and customer service is amazing. The sushi chef calls you by your first name I feel special, love that they know my order too. I recommend the spicy garlic edamame, all the sashimi, the toro and the sake. read more

This place is incredeble!!! Its place people call hidden gem restuarant, i am incredibly impressed of how their sushi tasted, every bite is quite delightful. I have been and tasted too many different sushi and let me tell you, this place is one of the few that has quality not just by its own taste but the attention to detail too. It reminded me the of first time i fell in love of very pleasant experience of eating sushi. This place will be now my one place to go to for high quality sushi. read more

Definitely going back. We recently went for dinner and everything was delicious! Soft shell crab appetizer is very tasty. I had the blue fin tuna and yellowtail sushi which were both very good as well. The tuna was the perfect texture and flavor. I also ordered the z2 salmon which has 7 pieces of salmon with a delicious garlic and lemony fresh flavor. Lastly, we shared the dancing albacore roll. I loved that it was not loaded with sauce. We saw other items we want to try the next time we come. If you are in the area or traveling to Disneyland and want sushi this is a perfect spot. Service was also very friendly! read more

Found this place after my old favorite spot in Fountain Valley allowed a couple to bring their pitbull and let him off his leash. The chirashi bowl is awesome, pretty much any roll I've eaten are delicious. Service is good and the beers are super cold. read more

We opted for rolls with mostly salmon in them. You can't go wrong with salmon. They tasted fresh and overall good. The restaurant feels small. Not to sound picky but there seems to be a lot going on around the register area which is a little distracting when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal. You want to feel relaxed and comfortable when eating good food. But the overall service is friendly. Might possibly come back.

Ordered the premium sashimi (14 pieces), salmon roll, salmon skin roll and 6pcs of bluefin tuna. The only thing that was good was the salmon skin roll and the salmom sashimi. The rest of the sashimi just wasn't good and the white fish was super fishy. Like gross fishy. The waitress was pretty bad too. She was not attentive and had to be flagged down. There was only 2 other parties there. In the picture, the tuna from the sashimi plate is on the left and the "bluefin" tuna is on the right. Looks and tastes the same. I'm pretty sure that's not bluefin. I asked the waitress if she was sure it was bluefin and she said it was. If I'm wrong and it really is the bluefin tuna, it is so not worth the price. Review: When you first enter you will hear the hostess / waitress say, "irasshaimase!" As you walk through two sectional partitions with a lot of drawn sketches and pictures. You're then shown your seat, I was sitting in the corner to the right that seats four. The atmosphere and vibe is a dimly lit room with a single light fixture above each table. There are mirrors all around. Upon seating you will see laminated menus held together by rings and another laminated order menu that you can use a dry erase marker on. I ordered: 1. Iced Green Tea 2. Tuna Lover 3. Truffle Salmon 4. Sashimi Salad 5. Salmon belly sushi (2x) 6. Yellowtail belly sushi (2x) 7. Mackerel sushi (2x) 8. Smelt egg (2x) 9. Salmon egg (2x) 10. Karaage Appetizer 11. Potato Shrimp Appetizer Overall, the fish was good or par with most sushi restaurants in the area. Sushi Dake has finessed their presentation so that the items look appetizing. Their nigiri sushi is on the more average side. If you go here I'd recommend sticking to the more sashimi dishes or rolls. The karaage appetizer is well seasoned and juicy. Some bites were borderline a bit more salty but combined with the given sauce, the bites were well defined. I'd say it would taste what you'd expect a karaage chicken to taste like. The potato shrimp had a lighter batter and seasoned perfectly to my tastes. I enjoyed the potato and shrimp combination. Out of the two, this was my favorite to try. The Chef's picks if I recall were the Tuna Lover - it's a piece of tuna that wraps around minced tuna and microgreens. A sliced jalapeno is placed on top. There's a citrusy sauce poured on top (Ponzu?) that adds a unique profile to the fish. The Truffle Salmon has a quartered or thinly sliced cherry tomato on top with a little bit of truffle. This sashimi piece is also sauced in a truffle oil. The sashimi pieces are placed over a thinly sliced lemon for an added citrus profile. You can taste the combination of ingredients if you eat the whole thing with the sliced lemon. The taste is more prominent without the sliced lemon. Out of the Tuna Lover and Truffle Salmon, the Tuna Lover was my favorite to try. The sashimi salad had a nice dressing to it with assorted fish. This dish is probably my favorite out of all the items. The salad itself was fresh and crisp to eat. There are sliced avocados in the dish as well. A bite combined with all the ingredients tastes great. The nigiri sushi was average in taste. The fish used on top was good but the rice could have been better seasoned with vinegar. My guess is that the rice wasn't soaked in rice vinegar properly as it seemed more dry than I am used to. Overall, it is passable but you probably didn't come for basic nigiri pieces. I will definitely come back to try other items.

I called over a server with lashes and a pony tail saying "Hi, I wanted to know what the priority is for the kitchen as it took 40 minutes for us to receive the couple dishes we had but the other table who came after us received a roll we ordered as well." Mind you that table had received all of their ramens and had been eating. I told her I completely understand the hot food is a different person and I had absolutely no problem with them receiving the ramen, but why did we not get priority for that roll? She didn't apologize for the wait and had a very blunt/rude way of speaking to us. When I was mid sentence, she walked away to pull our original server. However, even though she walked around the corner I was still able to hear her tell the other server quite loudly what was happening. Our server was extremely professional and apologized for the delay and reiterated the delay in you the kitchen. I told her I completely understand there was a delay but if she had told us while we were making our order that the sushi items may be delayed due to being understaffed, we would have changed our order to have more hot foods. I also told her I wanted to speak to a shift lead at that point because the server with the lashes walking away mid sentence was one of the rudest things I've experienced at a restaurant. The manager apologized and it still ended up taking another hour for all the food to come out and they still forgot the last two rolls we needed. We had to remind them we were still waiting on the rolls. One of the rolls was the roll given to the table that started the whole thing. We literally spent $500 for a bad two hour and fifteen minute experience. They also didn't refill drinks until an hour and a half in. My family and I spend at least $500 each time we go here and suffice to say, we aren't coming back.
