Definitely a hidden gem. I would highly recommend going to this spot. I was visiting from Hawai'i and wanted sushi. Being visitors to the state we originally was gonna go to a different spot. However when we arrived it was packed and decided to look else where. We were so glad we did. When my friend and I arrive we were welcomed and were seated promptly. Wasn't too busy when we arrived. We decided to give this sushi spot a chance. We loved the different type of rolls that they offer. We ended up ordering 8 rolls and soup. The sushi is pretty good and you can tell from the craftsmanship when the sushi comes to your table. Doesn't look rushed. I recommend hitting this spot up when you have a craving for sushi. I have been to Exo Sushi a handful of times and it is my absolute favorite Shushi restaurant in Anaheim. The rolls are bite sized and not too overwhelming. I prefer the basic cut rolls and the ones here are simple and delicious. My favorite thing on the menu is the salmon skin roll! It is chef's kiss! The 911 Roll is also a good choice. The service is great, and the staff is very personable. The ambience is chill and comfortable, and they have a lovely display of indoor plants. I've had a good experience every time. It's always dicey visiting a new place on Yelp, literally four reviews- (I went their first week open) but I was very pleasantly surprised by the food, service and decor. Let's talk about food! For the price point, the quality of the fish is excellent! No fishiness or aftertaste and their special rolls are really clever and tasty with their combinations. I ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna- you can never go wrong with this classic. Yellowtail Mania Roll- yellowtail is one of my favorites to get, and a lot of times is not featured as the main in a roll but this one was absolutely delicious! It had spicy and sweet notes and had crunchy tempura. This one is one of my favorites. Baked Salmon Roll- my other favorite! This has sweet and spicy Japanese mayo with eel sauce and then baked. Yum! 5th Element Roll- this one has tuna, yellowtail, albacore and avocado under a thinly sliced and rolled cucumber with a sweet sauce and crab meat. This one is excellent if you are trying to watch your carbs and looking for something fresh. I liked that this was paired with cucumber vs. soy paper. Last Samurai Roll- shrimp tempura, spicy crab and avocado with spicy mayo, eel sauce and tempura flakes. This one is great if you want a little extra with your standard tempura roll. Las Vegas Roll- deep fried roll with cream cheese, avocado, tuna, yellowtail and salmon and topped with eel sauce. This is good if you want something crunchy and creamy. All their hand rolls have a nice ratio of fish to rice. I've had their yellowtail, salmon, and soft shell crab. The inside is very clean and nicely decorated and the customer service is wonderful. They were so sweet to give us 20% off our bill since they first opened and even gave us free dessert. I see myself being a regular here, and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a new sushi place in the Anaheim area. read more

Just finished eating my take out meal from here, so the flavors are fresh in my mind! I ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna appetizer, the 911 roll, and the yellowtail mania roll. All rolls are supposed to be spicy. My uncle ordered the BSC roll. Ratings for the rolls are as follows: -Crispy rice spicy tuna appetizer: 3.5/5 I felt like it was a bit much. Maybe it was just too much rice or sauce, but I was done after one. It comes with two! Maybe they could add something fresher to even out the taste (like avo) or they could decrease the amount of rice they use. -911 roll: 4.5/5 I didn't need to call 911! Haha it wasn't very spicy. I liked it a lot still. -Yellowtail mania roll: 4.5/5 This was also advertised as hot, but it was lacking in that department as well. It has a slight kick from the jalapeño, just not a lot. Still very good. Yellowtail tasted fresh. -BSC roll: 3.75/5 My uncle's take on it: it was good in the beginning but became overbearing towards the end. Maybe too much spicy mayo? I can't speak to how their dining service is, but the waitress was nice when I came to pick up my food. Applied a discount since I did an online order. Food was finished 20 minutes after I placed my order. Other things: I like that they give you specific sauces for each roll and that they label it. It's the little things!
