Ok. I don't give many reviews but out of all the places I have reviewed, this will honestly be my best review. I found this place about 2 years ago on my way home from work and I desperately needed a haircut. I am pretty loyal if I find a person who cuts hair good. Before I found this place I always had my haircut by this one man in La Mirada. Was my favorite and I stayed loyal. The only problem was he kept leaving the country to go visit his family back home...can't think of the name of the country. Anyways, as I said, I was desperate for a haircut driving home from work down Yorba Linda Blvd. when I saw this place. I said what the heck. A nice lady named Nelli helped me. I swear to you, when she started cutting my hair, I was like...my god she is good. They way she parted my hair ...cut it this way...then back the other way. I seriously liked the way it was coming out and she wasn't done. When she did finish I told her....Nelli you are my "new" haircutter. She made the guy I've been going to for years look like an amateur. I got soooo many compliments on my haircut the next day at work. I dropped my old haircut person and found Nelli. I told her if she "ever" goes anyplace else please tell me. For now I make the 35 minute drive just for her to do my hair and I don't regret it one bit. read more

I met Lily Boghosiam , Owner and Master Hair Stylist almost 30 years ago . I was a Realtor at Tarbell , Realtors located along Yorba Linda Blvd in the City of Yorba Linda close by so Expertcuts immediately became a haven to me . After a stressful day , I drive a few minutes and I am given a " Princess Treatment " by every one of the staff who are all artists with EXCELLENT SERVICES. Lily spoiled and allowed me to color my hair in auburn red when I was going through that " stage of experimenting ". Nellie does my hair and make up for very special Real Estate Events where I need to look like a Power , High Energy Professional. Nellie has gone to phase 2 with me when she started styling my hair and giving her artist magic touch for makeup when I perform in my BALLROOM DANCING. When my daughter Carol Lero Mitchell got married , our entire family and her bridal entourage were taken cared of by all the staff who are all very friendly and very professional. I have referred Expertcuts to my Real Estate Clients here in YL but some of them drive back to have their done by Lily after they have relocated to South County , Riverside , LA , and surrounding areas. I have always gone to the chain salons and it always seems to happen - once you get someone you like and they do a good job - they move on and you have to start again with someone new. So after the last time this happened, I decided to try a local place and I was so lucky to find Expertcuts! I had called ahead for an appointment and when I showed up, Lili took me right in and asked what I wanted. She took care to get my hair done to my satisfaction, not like some hair cutters - where it's about what they want to do. She is extremely personable and very professional and as a real bonus, the store is very clean (not like the chain stores). It seems if one of the ladies is not cutting hair, they are tidying up the store, sweeping up cut hair, etc. It's apparent that they all take pride in the store. After coming to Expertcuts, I will never again go to one of the large in-personable chain salons. I highly recommend Lili and the other very nice ladies who work there. read more

I've been going here for about 17 years now. When I lived in Northern Cali I'd drive down to my parents house just to get my hair done here. The girls that work here have been here since I can remember and they're all very experienced stylists. They know that everyone's hair is different and will know what cut or treatment will work best on your hair. Nelli has fixed all of my botched home dye jobs from when I was an experimenting teen and recovered my hair from some really bad extensions I had done elsewhere. I should've made the extra trip down to have Nelli do them. She uses clasps rather than glue so they don't damage your hair. If it wasn't for her I'd probably be bald. Lol. They also do waxing and facials so I get all of my stuff done here. They accept walk ins and are extremely affordable. I won't let anyone else touch my hair. I have pointed many people in their direction and am a very happy and loyal customer. read more

My wife and I discovered Expertcuts when they opened in the 80s. We were impressed by the high quality of work, reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. After my wife passed away, I decided to grow a ponytail which I wore for many years, negating the necessity of further haircuts. However, I finally decided to change my hair and went to see Lili. Even after a long hiatus, she still remembered me and my late wife. As I wasn't sure what to do with my hair, I told Lili to cut it however she saw fit, and that I trusted her judgement 100%. As I sat there watching her work, I was amazed at the transformation as layer upon layer of hair came off leaving me with a wonderful new haircut. The friendly staff at Expert Cuts has taken EXCLUSIVE and excellent care of my hair AND me for over 30 years! Fari is my stylist 99.9% of the time. Others here have done my hair as well and I trust them. Fari has really gotten to know me and my hair! She not only colors, cuts and styles my hair, she does my eyebrows very gently! She also straightens my bangs as needed. The team here is friendly and efficient, treating everyone special. I consider them my friends. I have observed how they treat children and customers of all ages with care and dignity. They took care of my mother until her Alzheimers prohibited it. To understand how much I think of Lili and her team at Expercuts you have to understand that I have been getting my hair cut and colored all over OC for the last 20 years. And lets face it, your hair doesn't get better as you get older! I was willing to spend any amount to make my hair look good and I did. Often paying way to much for mediocre results. Then a few years ago I found Lili and my hair has never looked better. Lili has a gift for color and cut. Why pay twice as much at a so called up scale salon for bad hair? When I decided for a more practical on-the-go hairstyle I went to Expertcuts in Yorba Linda. Stylist Jennifer helped me choose the pixie style. She recommended it according to my face shape and overall persona. I appreciate it when a stylist has an instant understanding of the client's overall style. Jennifer pulled it off and made me feel very comfortable with the new hair style as it was a radical change for me to go from a bob to a real short cut. I have been coming to these lovely ladies for soooo many years . I would say about 26 years!! Its absolutely wonderful place with such professional and very friendly people. They are so thorough and precise. I love the way my hair looks after i come out of this place.i would recommend anyone to come here and get their hair done here.they are excellent. I have been going to Lily at Expert Cuts since they opened in .....I think 1979. At that time, I was within walking distance. However, I moved to Corona in 2003....tried several salons in my area...and ended up driving back to YL to have Lily cut my hair. I love that she will do it exactly as I want it.....no surprises....that I can't manage. She and all of the other ladies keep up with the times, are always super friendly, and make you feel comfortable. They even take you on a "walk-in" basis. read more

My husband, son, and I have been getting our hair cut at Expertcuts since the late 80s. Lilly has always cut my hair and I can say I wouldn't go to another salon. All the gals are great - Lilly, Cindy, Nelli, Fari, and Jennifer! Great prices and nice selection of shampoos, conditioners, etc. I referred my friend to Expertcuts when she moved here in 1992. I ADORE THIS PLACE. Lily takes so much effort with her customers, and all of the staff is so friendly. I have been asked so many times how i have achieved a platinum/ash blonde color, and i always tell people to go to Lily at Expertcuts. She's got your back 100%. I have been going to ExpertCuts for over 15 years and they are the best. I recommend all of the stylists but my 2 favs are Lili and Jennifer. This place is not posh but very reasonably priced. They do a great job with men's hair too as my 3 adult sons all have been going to them for years as well. I just can't get my husband in because he cuts his own hair (LOL). My go-to stylist is Nelli, and she cuts my hair exactly how I want it every time. She is very friendly and is an experienced hairstylist.
