If I could go back and give my younger self some advice, it'd be to establish and maintain two excellent relationships: One with an accountant, and one with a good tailor. This shop is the latter. Very good value for altering clothes! I had several jeans I shrunk out of they tailored to fit, along with the same for a few suits, sports coats, and dress shirts. Gina literally saved the day! I needed to add some fabric to my dress since it was very low cut and needed this done asap. She saw the fabric I had brought in and went looking for a more shear piece of fabric that would match better. I could instantly tell that she not only knows fashion very well but also what would compliment someone's figure and skin tone. She also designs bridal and formal dresses. She was not only able to add the fabric, but shortened the dress AND had it ready day off! She was very conscientious of price and made sure I was aware of the cost which wasn't bad at all. I had my wedding dress altered here and Zarghona was so informative and helpful. I lost 4 inches from the time I bought the dress to when it was time for a fitting so she had to do some major "taking in". Her professionalism really shows in her work! Her confidence really impressed me and when we went back to try on the finished product, I was in love with my dress all over again! I also had my daughter's dress altered here and she made it possible for the alterations to be "undone" so my daughter can grow into it... great suggestion if you ask me! Brought in a dress I borrowed from a friend to get it dry cleaned after a wedding. It's white with navy wave patterns. When I went to pick it up the white color was no longer white but more dirty off white. I asked what happened and said the color was off and they said they didn't do anything. I will not be going back here because the clothing I brought was ruined. read more

Do not do business here, terrible customer service and can not hold up to their promise. First of all on a Wednesday I walked in and asked if they can do an emergency hem for a wedding I was attending that Saturday. I asked if they can have it ready by the end of the day Thursday, as I was leaving out of town early morning Fri. They were very nice about it at first. Which the end result really surprised me. They said I have to pay an extra $10.00 fee for an emergency hem. I agreed and paid $20.00 for them hem and $10.00 to have it done by the end of the day Thursday. They also said they were very busy and would be doing it on overtime after store hours around 8:00 pm and it should be done by then. They promised to call me to come pick it up too. Thursday came and it was 8:30pm, I was getting worried because I never received a call. So I called them instead and no answer. I decided to drive down the street to the shop and it was closed. I called the next morning and they totally denied they were suppose to call me. I asked for a refund on the $10.00 fee and they argued that they will not give me a refund. I ended up having to purchase another outfit for the wedding and they could careless. It is Sunday now and I will be going to pick up my outfit tomorrow Monday. I will post the results after I speak to them face to face. Hopefully they didn't ruin my outfit. read more

I went here to get a simple dress hemmed. She charged me 20 bucks just for a hem! And she hemmed WAY shorter than I asked AND IT'S INCREDIBLY CRUCID! Express Alterations is fantastic! Not only are they very fast in getting the alterations done, but the work is extremely high quality. I have given the lady who works there all kinds of clothes over the past year (slacks, jeans, intricate fancy indian outfits, wedding dresses) and she has never failed to impress me. When I needed my very fancy, delicate indian wedding outfits altered, she was able to do to the work quickly and by hand so as not to disturb the beading work on the dress and the delicate chiffon cloth, and made the dress fit me perfectly! I've had this shop alter a couple of sweater and a motorcycle riding pants The sweaters had to be fitted, reduce the waist size. For my motorcycle riding pants I asked to attach the jacket back bottom zipper (came with the jacket) to the back of the pants (so the two can be connected while riding). Also, the front belt area of the pants had to be fixed: the original buttons fell off (cheap assembly) and so I asked her to put industrial Velcro instead. The lady was very attentive and patient with me, took her time to understand what I wanted. The quality of the work is also very good. She had the necessary heavy duty machine to attach the Velcro. Price is fair, not expensive. I am very happy with the service I received. Thank you! read more

I've been twice in this place. Sayed did quite complicated alteration on the sleeves of my new expensive jacket and hemmed couple of jeans. And it was quite fast too. When i needed my jeans done next day she didn't charge me extra. I would use her service again. read more

I've had a few things done here, and the work is decent quality. However, they are expensive compared to other places and even though they take your phone number and say they'll call you when it's done, they NEVER call you back. My wife forgot to pick something up from them for over a year. It was still there when she finally remembered, thankfully, but she never got a call about it. read more

I havae been going to Express Alterations for at least three years and have always been extremely satisfied. The work is of very high quality and the owner really takes pride in what she does. I am short, so I have to alter many things. I have had hems in pants and skirts and dresses altered, and every time the results were perfect. The items come back pressed and ready to wear. I got my wedding dress hemmed and bustled here very last minute. They were able to do it very quickly, despite the difficulty of the job. It was a good price for the number of hours of work it took, and it was done when it was supposed to be. They also cleaned the dress for free! This place is fabulous. The lady here will fix anything. I had an older pink summer dress that I really wanted to get fitted for a wedding and she shortened the straps, took in the bust, hemmed the fraying edges, and shortened the hem for $62! She said it took her more time than she expected because it was made of chiffon, but she wouldn't charge me any extra. I had only a week until my wedding and was having a dress custom made, the person who was originally making my dress told me she could not complete it......ONE week before my wedding! AND it still needed some extensive work done!
