I have mixed feeling about this place. The three start update review is mainly for attitude and a little poor customer services. I came in three times last year. One for Groupon pedicure and twice for nail polish change. This time I re-purchase Groupon for a pedicure. Groupon doesn't indicate first time customer only. So I purchased it again. I texted Kim on Thursday for an appointment on Friday the following week. But then I needed to reschedule to earlier date. Kim was able to accommodate me. I really appreciated this. When I got there, she asked if this was my second time using Groupon. I said yes. And she seemed to be annoyed by that. She said Groupon for first time customer only. Again no where on the Groupon mentioned that. I double checked Groupon. She didn't recognize me. (Probably because I came total 3 times before while pregnant). She said she allowed me to use the Groupon, but next time it will be full price. I agreed to this. That is fair. However, I felt like being ignore because I used Groupon. Kim offered two other customers coffee, tea, snack. But not me. I didn't care for coffee or snack. Just felt being treated differently and a little uncomfortable. Hence, three start reviews mainly on the customer services. Kim didn't do my pedicure this time. Another girl did it. I didn't get her name. She doesn't speak much English. She did an ok job. She was a little rough. I felt little pinch when she did my pedicure. But overall her work was good. I do like Kim work somewhat. I haven't got nail art. So can't say anything about that. Kim and the other girl both done good job with pedicure. I would have come back for pedicure and nail art, if I didn't feel being treated differently. Too bad, my previous experiences were good. Had a pleasant experience. Got the Groupon deal for a Pedicure and Manicure and was able to get an appointment the next day. Kim was very responsive via txt message. I was desperate because I had to attend my friend's wedding in a few days. Came in and was immediately seated into the very nice and large massage chair. A very sweet lady named Quen worked on my feet. She was very diligent and worked hard and was very meticulous, and did a wonderful job with the foot scrubbing, filing, and applying the polish. Another lady, not Kim, did my manicures. She was nice, but I felt like she was rushing and didn't really take her time. When she was cutting my cuticles, she hurt me several times. And she missed several spots on my nails when applying the nail polish which I had to go home and fix myself. I would definitely recommend Quen for the pedicure. read more

My sister and I came here late on a Tuesday and Kim was able to fit us both in. This was my first time ever getting my nails done and it was very pleasant. We had a great time chatting and hanging out. My gel manicure turned out amazing and so did my sister's. There are many color options and even the option to make your nails matte! It's more exclusive and quiet with a one-on-one interaction. I like it better because it was my first time getting a manicure or pedicure and I feel kind of weird if there were many others around. But it was totally a comfortable atmosphere. There was classical music playing, cool A/C, super clean place. I love it! PRICING: I found out about Kim's place on Groupon and I wanted to give it a try. I think for both mani and pedi, I paid $24-$25 which is a really good deal comparing to other locations! OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 10/10 highly recommend. She gives u a little massage too with aroma therapy. Super cool, super friendly. My nails have never looked better! On the wall, she had an endless supply and variety of colors (of course I didn't get color but if I take my sisters here, they would love it!) I would come back everyday if I had the time and money! I saw this place advertised as being in Newport Beach (look at my screenshot of what they advertise online). But they aren't there anymore. I called to ask about their location and Kim the owner tells me they are now in Costa Mesa. I asked if they have a sign in the shopping center with their business name (Exquisitely Nails on the Go) and she says no, the sign says "Porcelain." I said well she has advertised Newport Beach and I can't even find her place because there's not a single sign outside. She rudely tells me I can sue her if I want and then hangs up on me. I can't believe how awful their attitude and customer service is when they are misleading people. Very rude lady with bad attitude. She is not welcoming at all. She had major attitude when I told her what services I booked and snapped at me about being wrong when I clearly could show proof. She didn't try to clarify or ask questions either she just came at me with her nasty customer service. And of course she was in the wrong. I've always known Kim was the best at nails and I reaffirmed that feeling today. Due to my crazy schedule lately, I had to cheat on Kim and go somewhere near my house. They weren't bad but no one has the meticulous detail and care that Kim does. She always takes her time to make sure every single thing about your nails and cuticles are perfect! She is also the BEST at designs. Bring in any photo and Kim is up for the challenge. The regular compliments I get on my nails have made me an addict! By farrrrr the best nail salon I've ever been to. Extremely meticulous, very very clean (they have you sign the tools inside the sterilization bag), friendly service, quiet and without the smell. They have a huge selection of OPI polishes and they all look new and clean, not half empty and all dried up. They just moved to a new location on Adams Ave inside the Porcelain luxury salon suites, which is really beautiful and new. I cannot recommend this place more! read more

I purchased a Groupon for this place and was fooled by the 5 stars on Yelp. STAY away! They listed their address in Newport Beach on Groupon and they STILL list their address as in NPB on the internet (for example their very own Facebook) so we go and look around and find out they have moved. Well, it would've been great if they had let us know ahead of our appointment time. So I drive to Costa Mesa and keep looking for their sign "Exquisitely Nails On The Go." NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! I call them again and they say it's in a building named "Porcelain" a name never mentioned anywhere and which is a different business. After I finally find the place, the lady says I'm sorry but you're late for your appointment so there will be a fee and she refuses to honor the Groupon EVEN IF I RESCHEDULE! Wow! So when I tell her address was listed wrong and her business name doesn't even appear anywhere in the shopping center, she raises her voice and says you can serve (sue) me and doesn't even care if we go to court about this. Very well then, you're misleading and false advertisement about your address is ridiculous and on top of that you are so rude and unprofessional. read more

Contrary to all the positive reviews, we had a VERY negative experience with Kim. I had booked an appointment for my daughter and I, and asked if we could reschedule. Kim replied via text, but it would be easier to explain over the phone, so I gave her a call and left a voicemail asking her to call me back as our original appointment was booked for the next day and we no longer needed to reschedule. No call back - but we received a confirmation text from Booksy that night still confirming our appointment - then everything should be good to go, right? Nope. I texted Kim on the day of to confirm and she had already given our appointment time away without ANY contact to us and would not be available for another week. NO apology whatsoever or even effort to resolve the situation, she instead told us just to cancel our Groupon and she would be busy if we came in at our scheduled appointment time. I tried calling her again to speak with her directly and see if we could sort it out, but she wouldn't pick up the phone, even though she was replying via text. Kim always makes sure I'm comfortable and happy with the end result, and won't let you leave until your nails are perfect! I love her selection of colors so much, way better than your typical nail salon. I also like that she lets you pick a scent while you're getting your nails done which enhances the experience. Of all the places I've had my nails done (7-10 places), this place gives me the best results! My first visit was on a Groupon, and Kim's assistant/associate did my gel manicure. I don't know her name, and we hardly talk because of the language barrier, but she takes her times with your nails. Precision is her game! My gel manicure lasted 3+ weeks with no chips! A few scratches near the end of the third week, but it was still super shiny and looked damn good. If nails didn't grow, I'd probably still have a perfect manicure. I am now hooked, and will only go to Exquisitely for nails. Prices are not cheap, but its comparable to a lot of other nail places in Orange County. Scheduling can be wonky over phone or text, but the second time, I used the app to book, and I preferred that because the app will send you text reminders for your appointment. You can also cancel or change your appointment in the app. However the app doesn't seem to have all the services that I've seen in the Yelp photos of the menu of services......oh well. read more
