Not only was she knowledgeable and well vesed with times, dates, prices and availability but she asked all the right questions to move the process right along. She went as far as to accommodate an elderly cuatomer as they were not versed with Apps and e-mail. Even though availability was an issue, she quickly found an alternative by secring our needs in a different location only a few blocks way. We Javier there and lit it up with good service as well. The POS system was totally glitching and would not release our order from a 'Reserved to a "Paid" status. It was worked on and the situation was eventually resolved. Nori isn't a good GM let's start there and how he didn't provide me with ample explanation of ESS policies. Furthermore he didn't alert me that at move out date you have a certain amount of time to claim items before another month of service is charged; hints my bill was more than 97$ projected online even with 11-30 dollar insurance, he did not explain that I didn't need to keep the insurance and my bill will be lowered he didn't offer a vacate for a less amount than the bill projected he basically bullied me into letting my bill rack up instead of helping pay the bill and also retrieving my items. I am truly shocked to have even heard about this information from others rather than the manager. They don't document calls or notes, claim to not know who called. I would definitely say this storage space has the best customer service of all the spaces I've used. There are always at least two staff members on property and they are quick to assist with anything I need or any questions I have. Rae is especially helpful! I've forgotten my key in the past and also has a broken key, and she is always kind, communicative and helps me out immediately. It's also very easy to access the units here. This place put me in a way smaller unit even though I explained to them the size I needed. Once we arrived they wouldn't let us use the freight elevator because they said it wasn't being utilized at the time even though I had a huge couch and two large chairs to go up five floors. They preferred me to squeeze my furniture in a very narrow doorway and down the hallway on a dolly rather than use the freight elevator that was right in front of our vehicle. Only when I complain to the guy work in the front desk that our furniture wouldn't fit and it was very inconvenient and labor-intensive to bring it up that way did he finally relent. Awful, no one was there! So we could not move​ in! We had prepaid! ​I had paid for a truck and several hours of two movers that moved my stuff from my house to the storage facility. With no one there I could not gain access no one answered the phone left a message no one called me back.... I hope they give me a refund I had to find a different storage facility since I already had paid for the truck and paid for the movers. I had to spend more on the movers because I had to add extra hours due to the fact that I had to go to another storage facility far away to be able to move my stuff in there. I also had to spend another $30 on mileage for my U-Haul truck to get to and from the new facility. So in all I spent an extra $200 plus the cost of the month that I paid for. This was my first time purchasing a storage unit. Mohammed made it a very pleasant experience. I was a little apprehensive at first because of the elevator and how the building is 5 stories. He also shared his thoughts on the best lock that one should use and why. Mohammed is also very thoughtful and observant. I left the base of a glass table out overnight and when I came in the next day, he had brought it over to me instead of just telling me I left it out and where to go retrieve it. I've only seeing Mohammed at this storage place but he says there's a girl on Fridays. He's really attentive to the people who store their things there. It makes it nice knowing someone who is thoughtful and considerate is the one who is mostly in charge of the storage unit. read more

I was shopping for the cheapest storage and ONLY Extra Space Storage could give me the best deal. The neighborhood is not very appealing nor safe, however, they have gated parking, coded access to the facility and video cameras on every floor, including main entrance. They have only one elevator, but it's HUGE and you can load/unload your stuff only in one attempt. Also, they have roller carts that you can use any time. But the highlight is the EXCELLENT customer service. Ester (the lady who was assisting me) was very pleasant and willing to help. She had shown me SIX different units, just to satisfy her customer. I was doubtful because of the location but the person running this place is EXTREMELY professional and goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable with the unit. This is the first time I have ever rented a storage unit and he gets an A+. If I could give less than one star I would. My girlfriend and I have been renting at this place since February of last year. When I started renting there it was a different company and I was very happy. The people that worked there actually cared about my business and I was happy to give them my money, as happy as anyone can be giving someone their hard earned money at least. I noticed the change in staff and I walked in to meet the new manager and a young lady named Deanna told me that their company had bought the property and it was now under new management. That's all fine and dandy, but she sounded SO annoyed that I had asked what happened to the previous managers. I left it at that as she did not seem like she was in the mood to deal with customers. I went up to my unit and put something away and when I came down she was standing outside the office in a panic. She had locked herself out and was almost in tears. I asked if there was anything I could do to help her and she completely ignored me. I just could not believe how different everything was with this new management. They even began to close on Sundays without even notifying us of the changes. When I went into the office to complain and threaten to move out she very rudely and egotistically told me "this is what it is and if you don't like it you can always move to another storage company". I told her I was sure another company would probably appreciate my business and my money since she didn't seem to care if she lost a long term customer that has always paid on time! I told her I was going to take my business to the Storequest down the street. With the biggest smile she told me "that's fine that actually belongs to us so the money will go to the same place". I could not believe how rude and insensitive she was. It seems that because this is a larger corporation unlike the previous company they don't really seem to care if they lose a customer. I went to the storquest down the street and the previous manager Edwin was there with his assistant Lucy. He was very nice and happy to see me. He showed me the same size I had, but I had to ask if what the manager from the other location had said was true and he confirmed that they would be taking over soon. I took all my things out if storage and it is now stored at my parents garage. No way I was giving them another cent. It is very sad to see how business has changed and customer service is not important to some companies anymore. Fair warning to all, beware this location. read more
