Movers showed up and walked into the house without masks. One guy argued and then said he didn't…read morehave one. We went to give him a clean mask and he said it was dirty and he didn't wanna get sick. Yet he walked into our home without a mask. I told them they either wear masks or they need to leave. At that point, the 3rd guy walks in without his mask on and the other guy is still not wanting to put a mask on. The 2nd guy put on his mask with no issue. I told them again if they don't wear a mask, then they need to get out of the house and we won't be using them. The other guy told the guy who was arguing to get out. Then the guy who was arguing said he had a mask he could put on in the truck. So he puts it on and starts working with his nose out. I had to tell him to cover his nose. I told them multiple times to cover their noses. The 2nd guy did fine and wore the mask the entire time. The 2 other guys kept putting their masks on their chins. During this time, we sent messages via live chat to the company and no one responded but we did get a call. Jose said there wasn't a mandate in Seminole County for masks (there is), said we never ordered the mattress cover (we did), and said we should've made it clear they needed to wear masks (we did). We had ordered a king mattress cover and they didn't bring one. They told us they would wrap it in the cling wrap. We were downstairs when they started bringing the mattress down. They then told us they'd wrap it in the truck. They dragged the mattress on the floor where they had been walking and then never wrapped the mattress. We found out when they were unloading that it was never wrapped. We keep a mattress protector on that mattress due to allergies so it's basically new. Now it's been dragged on the floor, possibly exposed to covid, sat in the dirty truck, and had dirty blankets on it which I'm sure they didn't sanitize between jobs. At that point, we let them grab the few items that were wrapped and told them that was it. We didn't feel safe from covid, they argued, we felt like they were being rough with our stuff and worried they would break something. I didn't want anything else to possibly be exposed. Upon them finishing unloading and us needing to pay, we requested a cleaning of the mattress and expressed how unacceptable it was that they were not using protection. Jose screamed at us about how masks don't prevent or protect anyone from getting covid and how we need to not believe the fake media. He refused to assist or compensate. We told him his guys were still within a few feet and not wearing masks. The guy just didn't care and wanted payment. I cannot believe that someone would take such little regard for others' health. Not only their customers, but their employees, and everyone around them. We ended up paying because the guy was just yelling at us about there being no mandates and masks are not required, fake news, the virus isn't serious, masks don't protect or prevent the sickness or spread. We ended up having to hire someone else the same day, thankful we were able to find someone who could squeeze us in.
