Additionally, the conduct of your counter staff was unacceptable. Rather than assisting me, they laughed among themselves and directed a rude comment toward me, a paying customer. I responded calmly. Owner's response to this post is not sincere and is false.... customer Service was dismissive and insulting. Waiting until 2pm to demand additional funds left us no choice and numbering largely empty boxes to give the appearance of a larger move is poor business. I'm doing everything I can to warn people. I've managed 6 major moves in my life and this was horrible.

Since we do this so frequently, it stands to reason, that we are always going through 2 wheel and 4 wheel dolly's, packing supplies, such as tape, boxes, tape guns, and even bubble wrap or shrink wrap. Where else would we think of going but New Haven Moving Equipment? I am going to say, that customer service is always top notch. Unfortunately, we didn't get the nice lady's name that helped us, but she was incredibly insightful, in helping us choose which 2 dolly's we were buying. She also suggested that we get the bigger wheels, that won't go flat. After you get your order paid for, you walk on the dock where it seems like all the guys are willing to come over and help you, no matter how busy they are. While we waited, maybe all of 10 minutes for them to change or put on the tires, on the new dolly, Larry, the president of the company came over and introduced himself. I thought that was very classy. He thanked us for our business and gave us his business card and told us if there is anything we are ever looking for that they don't have, he will get it for us. Great guy, and a great place. All 3 people we dealt with on this visit made this stop, that much more enjoyable. It doesn't matter if you are moving your home, a room, or just packing up things for storage, go to New Haven for your supplies. Sure, sometimes the prices are a little higher than others, but I would rather pay a little more for something I know is going to last a very long time, rather than pay next to nothing for something I have to replace within a few days. They have huge bulk items, or smaller quantities available, but whatever you need, they probably have it. Give them a try next time you are moving, I'm sure you will love them as much as we do. I reached out last week for a quote via Yelp. I get a response almost immediately and was setting up a day and time to move. I paid the refundable $50 deposit and never received any type of confirmation but I luckily took a photo of the confirmation number before I closed out of the screen. I sent it to them just so there can be some type of paper trail. They confirmed, again almost immediately. A day or two later I no longer needed the service and reached out requesting a refund of my deposit since I am very much in the window of getting it back. October 26th was the first email. Nothing. October 27th, second email asking for a response and receipt of refund. Nothing. I called the number and it went to voicemail. I submitted another "request for a quote" using Yelp and guess what? I got a response. How ridiculous that I have to go through the process just to get a reply? I request for a receipt of refund and he said it was emailed. There was nothing emailed. I checked my entire inbox and there was nothing sent. I emailed using the same thread this morning and I got a response immediately again claiming than an there was an email that is automatically sent of the refund and to check my spam/junk folder. Obviously I had already checked and there is no email. There is absolutely no reason why this process should be like pulling teeth. I know I could easily check my bank account but you work in the customer service industry, moving is already incredibly stressful so for your team to add more stress is not a good look. I wonder where all of your 5 star reviews came from - my only guess is that there's been a change in management to offer some type of excuse but 100% will never recommend just for this ridiculous exchange and email attempts.

The guy down the street has his own semi and trailer? It was just an excuse to extort more $$!! So when I called them out on it that's when they got rude! Then I got rude back! And they are refusing to deliver my stuff? There is zero customer service!! So then I looked on FB and was horrified by all the negative reviews!! Do not use them!! Pay more and use a real company like Allied!! I went with them to save $$ but they do that so you sign! And once you sign you are screwed! And the original nice guy who came to my house said that they could not put any more in the truck because they had to get somebody else's stuff that was moving to Tennessee also and that's the same truck that was going? That didn't stop the team at Glendale Shipping Center. they went above and beyond and custom-built a box for me using two separate boxes.
