From the very beginning, he took the time to explain the different storage options within my budget and the size I was looking for. I really appreciated that he listened instead of trying to upsell me. It also gives me peace of mind knowing there's an on-site property manager I feel comfortable with. Anthony has been consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. One thing I especially appreciate is that the restroom is always clean, which isn't something you find at every storage facility. The property is well maintained, and customer service hasn't stopped after I signed the lease. In fact, one day there was no parking available near my unit, and Anthony moved his car so I wouldn't have to carry my belongings so far. That small act spoke volumes about how much they care about their customers. This isn't the fanciest storage facility, but it has everything you need: clean, secure, and excellent customer service. Recently leased a 10x10 and the manager of the site was incredibly helpful with the contracting process as well as assisting with entry codes, elevator access and assuring it was the right space for our boxes and furniture. HOWEVER! Upon further review of the contract, I found an alarming clause indicating a 2X price hike after 4 months - which wasn't mentioned when I agreed to the month-to-month lease. I found other reviews on Reddit from those experienced 200% price hikes after a few months. Currently looking for another facility that offers more reasonable price increases over time. read more

Well, who likes renting storage, much less everything associated with it, like,... MOVING!!! This company was great and Stephen at the South Pas location was really super helpful and friendly. They were out of small units and he gave me some help over the phone to find one. So just a couple days later, we got one and are ready to get in there. He made it really easy AND the online application and pymt etc process was like 3-5 minutes and done, unit number, gate code, everything. All done and super easy. He had a great sense of humor as well. Very unexpected while trying to get storage. Thanks so much Stephen. I wish I could drag you along into other aspects of my life. LMAO. UPDATE: just went over there to check out the unit I rented. 5x10'. The place is in great shape and quite clean for a storage facility. Access was amazingly easy. The app lets you open the gate via bluetooth having GPS position enabled (for security I imagine) without having to get out of your car and use the keypad. Then keypad to get in building and viola. Very secure. Rental also added on one of those circular locks that are nearly impossible to break. We will be using the unit just to store some things for a few months while we're in the middle of relocating to we-don't-yet-know-where, ie: we'll be on the road for a few months. So, since we have no address where to ship stuff to yet, hence we needed the unit. An great thing I just discovered is that the app lets you 'invite a friend' to also have access. So they download the app too using your account and then can also get into the facility the same way. They do still have to have their own keys and have the access code. Found this location while browsing for my first storage unit and it's in a great location! Honestly I don't think you'd know there was a storage facility there if you weren't looking, because it's tucked away in a small commercial street and surrounded by shops and eateries. Doesn't at all remind me of some of the giant and isolated storage facilities I've been to in the past. The storage facility itself is very clean and seems well-guarded. I also like the fact there's lifts everywhere and easy access parking, which will hopefully make the move less of a headache. Moreover, I was particularly impressed by how clean the unit is, with great ventilation and lack of exposure to light. I've been using Extraspace storage since they acquired Southmark Storage location in South Pas. We'd rented a 20ft container which allowed us access anytime within gate hours. Now, storing your personal stuff offsite shouldnt be difficult and the Manager, Steve Melnyk made us feel that our stuff was secure and that we were in good hands. Whenever I was on-site, Steve greeted us and asked how they were doing. Call me Old School, but that simple interaction made the extra cost of storing our stuff a positive experience and reassuring. This place has gone from being a storage facility I constantly sang the praises of, to the least convenient place I can imagine doing business with. No longer open on Sundays. Long lunch breaks at weird hours when you try to go on a Saturday. Having to call the dude and then wait 5-10 min while he makes his way to the office to let you in. I work a job where my hours/commute bookends their M-F hours almost every day, and sell on Etsy on the side. If I have an order to fulfill and don't get in there on Saturday, it's going to be shipped out late. I miss the authentic friendliness of the SouthMark crew, the fact that the office was actually staffed, and them being open on Sundays. read more
