I've rented a storage space here for about 1.5 years, and I recently found water leaking into my unit and damaged personal belongings. I had to pay for a second storage unit so that I could move my items out of the current space to prevent more damage. The staff and management are very unhelpful. There is rarely anyone in the office, and no one answers the phone. I even reached out to the district manager, who arranged for a few technicians to help me move units, but twice they were no-shows on the agreed upon time.

Never heard back after a week and when I called was told a physical letter was mailed back in May. I also asked for a credit because this was outrageous. Never did I receive a letter because I would have made a quick decision to cancel & find another storage place. Like many writing with the same issue on Yelp, not only is this price hike absurd but also seems illegal. When I called the manager to talk about it, she just kept repeating that they were month-to-month, as if that excused it, and that an increase in month 3 and month 8 were normal. That would have been really nice to know before we signed up, especially considering the first time I rented here my rent only increased twice IN SIX YEARS. This has never been their standard business practice until now, and I'm really disgusted to see them pulling this BS on their customers this time around, especially with the economy being so bad and people are barely scraping by. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the male employee who works here is always very kind and helpful, and I genuinely DID love this business as it was run very well in the past and its always been very clean and safe, but they took advantage of me this time around and I just really do not appreciate it, especially having previously been a happy, long-time client with only positive experiences before this. Its insulting and takes advantage of both me and my mom during a vulnerable moment in our lives. Once again, another business corrupted by prioritizing profit margins over people. The insurance is Fraud too, will never respond or payout a claim. They will only take your money. I had a unit with 2 concrete walls and the third wall that is shared with the neighboring unit is made of drywall. Which is actually a very cheap way of doing things, should be metal. Well the first time I found the infestation in 2022 I made a claim and nothing, no response at all. Had to throw out a ton of items. Afterwards I had the unit cleaned and even swept. Well went this weekend to move out of the storage and long and behold another rodent infestation but 100 times worst even now. And the first time I even found a dead mouse. Now this time I had to throw away so many items. But what was upsetting was I had to throw away my blanket I've had since my childhood and I no longer have either one of my parents. Here they charge you a good amount to rent. So when you pay for a facility to store your valuable items you expect your items to be there in the condition you stored them in. You don't expect to come back and have to throw away your items. And when I called them to let them know, the guy in the office tried to gaslight me and somehow blame me. Like we don't know what you store??? Are you serious???? Take responsibility as a business to have the proper maintenance to not have a serious rodent infestation!!!!
