A very talented electrician along with his staff of 2. Was able to solve electrical wiring problems that were impossible to find for 2 other electricians. Licensed and had to replace the circuit panel and breakers installed by a non-licensed electrician who used 1/2 sized circuit breakers. Was capable and experienced enough to sign on to replace a street lamp in our subdivision. I could not find anyone else to do this. Sometimes slow to respond because he is so busy. I would rather write a good review. EYC Electric was assigned my contractor by American Home Shield (AHS) on July 13th. His company is supposed to contact the client (me) within 24 hrs. Not only did he not contact me within 24 hrs, it took them 6 days to contact me. I left phone messages, I left texts, still nothing. I called AHS to complain yesterday, and low and behold, they finally called me. However, the individual who called me had an attitude and horrible customer service, I said thanks but no thanks, I'll get someone else. No wonder AHS doesn't want to do work in Hawaii anymore, it is businesses like this who give them a bad name where they can not keep their contractual agreement. VERY UNRELIABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL.....no communication whatsoever. If you look at negative reviews where the owner responds, he picks and chooses. The writer does not confirm or deny owner's response, I look at it this way, is there truth to owner's response???? I believe his business thrives on home warranty work, as the company, American Home Shield, referred his company for my repairs. The owner later called and was VERY apologetic for the communication issues. We were able to set up an appointment, which he stated his workers will be on time. His 2 workers did show up on time as promised. They did the repairs as agreed upon with my home warranty company. His workers did do a little extra with the brackets which meant more time of work, but no extra out of pocket cost. If not for communication issues, the company did an outstanding job read more

The job: changing of an electrical panel. Terrible communication, customer service, and overall work and that's just a part of the story! One of his workers had a tantrum where he ruined our wall and damaged the panel (which was installed upside down, using existing wires and not new.) Hired in Q1 of 2017, work did not get completed until Q3 2018. Had another electrician come out for a separate job and he stated that the state inspector would never pass his work. Ed came out to fix the issues with his wife in tow (we have photos of how poorly the work was done), however, permit is still outstanding (It's now Q1 2019) and not closed. Find someone else. Edward was awesome. We had a 6-50 NEMA outlet that we've had for about 3 years. It's been shorting out and finally just bit the dust. Edward was the only person who responded quickly by phone and showed up promptly, ON THE SAME DAY, to diagnose and send his guys out to rewire, install, and hardwire a Tesla HPWC in our carport. Thank you so much for your professionalism and for your timely and efficient service. Very much appreciated. We depend heavily on this service in order to be able to go about our daily lives (2 electric cars, both sharing one home charging station). The existing 6-50 NEMA outlet was wired with the wrong gauge wiring and the outlet was completely melted on the backside. Ed ... EYC did some work for me on GFI's in a 2/2 vacation rental in 2017... This past weekend the winds were So Bad... Electric in my building went off 7 times in an hour... Knew would cause trouble. Went down once things calmed down and all seemed stable, fixed Most things and breakers... But, When I went down to the lanai at sunset, as I always do... My Game Room had no electric at all... Called and left Ed a message Sunday night... Then Soon as I woke Monday... 11 AM ... Ed Answered, Remembered Me from the 2017 work he did... Said, he could be here in 2 hours... As I had 500 worth of Omaha Steaks unthawing in the game room fridge... Yeah, was 3 hours or more till he got here... But, he got everything resolved and allowed me to check other rooms and outlets... Charged me what I thought was a very reasonable fee for the 4 hours he was here... Less than 75 an hour... Nice Guy... Efficient ... Good Electrician... Knows His Stuff... Everybody Gets Busy and Delayed... But, This Was a Very Positive Experience For Me... They apologized for not calling and being super late. They made arrangements to come in the next morning, be on time, and do the work under warranty since the outlet that malfunctioned was under the original work order. Explained to them that I'd (and probably most customers) would rather have a quote and have the work come in under budget than twice the quoted amount and talked to them about letting customers know when they are going to be super late (they wouldn't be ok with it if I was two hours late for an appointment so why would I be? A customer's time is just as valuable as theirs). They said they were working on getting a system implemented to let people know when they were going to be later than scheduled. read more

I had a small electrical job on a rental and the owner, Ed Cvilikas, gave me a verbal quote for 3 to 4 hours and for one electrician. The work was performed on the weekend and he sent 2 electricians and charged a minimum of 8 hours (4 hours times 2) even though the job only took one electrician 2 hours to complete. The second electrician was in training and he just sat in the truck. After talking with Ed, he agreed to a partial refund, but it took almost 2 months to get it. He stopped returning my calls. Beware and get your quote in writing if you deal with this character. It was an expensive lesson learned. read more

I am very pleased with their service. They were responsive and provided details on the pricing. Ed was very receptive to me and any questions I had. Because they often work with other contractors to complete projects, sometimes there is a miscommunication between them but Ed was very helpful and wanted to save me as much money as possible. Had an emergency situation.. Having a new refrigerator installed and the installer determined that there was only one electric outlet on the back wall. We needed two therefore he could not do the installation today unless we could get a electrician to install a second outlet. Called a couple of Electricians, none could react today. Reached EYC Edward Cvilikas (owner) explained my dilemma and he said he could be at my home within the hour. He had one of his electricians here with 45 minutes.
