What a treat! I stopped by after a beer or two and ordered half and half tenders with hot sauce- wow! The amount of crispy breading was perfect and the inside was moist and juicy. The roll was also wonderful- super fresh, and so soft on the inside. I think the hot sauce (Buffalo style) was house made (and either way, it was great.) Crunchy breading but for some reason I detected a flour taste still. Not oily. Chicken itself has not flavor. Original white meat is better than the original dark meat. Spicy dark is better than original dark. Cajun fries were cooked well but over seasoned and very salty. Their rolls were good though. Heaven Sent chicken is better than this on my chicken scale. I have been eating Ezell's chicken for over 20 years and will continue to do so. However, last night's delivery order was inadequate. I ordered dark meat and the meal arrived with dark meat. I was a bit miffed, but mistakes happen. so I ate my meal. Then I saw an email asking me to take a survey to rate my meal. I clicked on the link and it took me to a dead end. That really irritated me. Ezell's chicken is my go-to comfort food and I was anything but comforted. I am assuming this experience was an anomaly and next time will be better. read more

The best fried chicken there is. Whether it's spicy or regular you won't be disappointed. I recommend the wings. They come with a large portion of the top part of the breast attached, the best of both worlds. Get extra rolls you won't regret it. I always think I order too much food, but it magically never seems like it's enough. It's a good way to make friends. The only thing I wish is they would get rid of the crinkle cut fries, they are the worst. Not specifically at Ezelles, just in general. Their sweet potato pie is also great, but chicken is what they do the best. The one in the CD is the only one I've been to and they don't have seating anywhere only a walk up coumter. Straight up every review that isn't a 5 star is stupid. I can't really speak to a lot of the sides, but my girlfriend throws a fit if I don't pick up the mashed potatoes. The rolls are crazy good. The Okra is a secret delight, and the beans are money. But judging a fried chicken joint based on the sides is not a smart thing to do. You're there for the chicken. I'm done with this place. Every single time I order delivery from this location, one, two, sometimes three items are missing in the order. I've ordered from here at least a dozen times in the past year and EVERY SINGLE TIME something is missing from the order. It's happening to my friends too, it's not just me. My order will be missing sides, rolls, chicken, anything, every time without fail. It's a joke at this point. There's no way a restaurant can mess up this many times. My roommates have been hyping up Ezell's for awhile. Finally gave it a shot and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. I ordered dark meat 2 piece original and got the mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac and cheese sides. So bland! I was expecting so much more flavor. In all honesty I feel like the original chicken from KFC is superior (not a good thing.) All I could taste in Ezell's chicken was grease. There were no other main flavorings I could taste. I just expected more...I didn't even finish the chicken, I was lulled into sleep from a mixture of blandness and grease, zzzZzZzz. I have been told their spicey chicken is more exciting. The mac and cheese was also pretty flavorless. The mashed potatoes were pretty decent though. I can say, however, this was all of our first time at this location. Where do I start. The lady that took our order was a mess. She had no interest in taking our order. I asked for a 1 piece kiddee meal with a biscuit and she told me I had to get the combo with the sides. I had to point out the menu to her showing that the first item was a 1 piece and biscuit. Her response was "I guess I can do that" she also gave my husband a hard time. She told him he couldn't get a 2 pc w/ 1 spicy and 1 original. She said he had to get a 4pc to split it. Unlike other Ezell restaurants, this one is a walkup counter. There is no seating or bathrooms available. We brought our food home to eat. The small chicken tender combo included three chicken fingers that were crispy and large. The sweet coleslaw was good and the order came with a roll. The chicken thighs were fairly meaty, but there seemed to be the same amount of breading as the amount of meat. The order was completed quickly and an employee double-checked everything to make sure what I received was complete and accurate. I appreciate that. read more

Always wanted to try Ezells but I never had time to stop by. So I was really excited to try this for the first time. The staff and cleanliness of the store was pretty good. I was greeted right away. I'm in love with chicken tenders so that's what I got. They tasted as though they were reheated, that part I didn't like. I normally get my chicken from Twins Chicken tenders down in Seattle because they cook their chicken on order every time with a southern taste. Meh. I sometimes stop by for chicken tenders for my son. He doesn't like any of their dipping sauces, so I use something else. I have tasted the tenders with sauce and they were pretty good. So, this time I decided to try the chicken. You can't say you want all dark meat, you just get what you get. The flavor is okay, but hardly any chicken in there. I just enjoyed the skin dipped in sauce as a tasty junk food snack, and went after the cole slaw. Chicken was ok. Reminded me of Walmart fried chicken with just a hint of spice. The rolls were yummy. Baked beans were great. Mashed potatoes just were not my fav but not terrible. Peach cobbler was amazing. Finally a place that makes great cobbler. Sweet potato pie was average nothing special. A couple of our white pieces were dry sadly. It was my first time coming to try Ezell's and I was very excited! That is until we had one of the worst customer service experiences. I've worked in the food industry since i was 16 so i get it. Things get busy, stuff takes a while, and it's a Friday night it's not fun having to deal with people. However our situation was handled terribly. My boyfriend and I waited over 45 mins while we watched people who came up to the register after us order food then get theres before us. People who came in 20 minutes after, 30... etc. They told us they were waiting on chicken then 20 more minutes passed and still nothing. I then went to go wait in the car. I saw more people who ordered after us leave. I then went inside and my boyfriend was asking for a refund. Instead of refunding it and then apologizing or still giving us our food we got NONE OF THE ABOVE. Not even a "sorry" just annoyed looks and we had three different employees argue with us. One had said "we lost your ticket" and another said "we were waiting for chicken to be ready" i ended up saying "which is it?" Im hearing two different stories. My boyfriend asked "well can i at least get my food" and they told us no ! It was almost amusing that they wouldn't even give us our food after all that. I ended up just asking if we can reorder and get a discount. The manager ended up saying yes and gave us a total of $8 off after almost an hour of being there. It was insanely horrible customer service and this is coming from someone who has mainly worked food industry jobs and has had to deal with the worst customers. We weren't being rude or being the worst we simply wanted our food or an apology or anything. They apparently don't give a crap about even being sympathetic. It's a joke honestly.
