Steller reviews on Yelp for this company, which prompted me to call them when my water heater needed replacing. However, based on my own personal experience I believe most of the rave reviews are fake. My garage smelled of gas after the install was complete. After notifying F&A, they said that shouldn't happen and that they would come out THE NEXT MORNING. Remember, there is a GAS LEAK. Called PG&E and they confirmed that the gas flex line was leaking. They fixed F&A's work and asked me if the work had been done by a professional since they couldn't tell. Water heater is also crooked on the stand - which their guy said was "no big deal." Maybe for you guy. Upon leaving, they also left a rust water stain in front of my house which they did come out to clean off. I would recommend not to use this company. They were the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I wish I had paid another few hundred bucks to use my regular plumber. Lesson learned. read more

Frank and his assistant were phenomenal. We had a rusted leaking drain trap for a double sink and a clog deep down our waste pipe. Frank responded quickly, sent his assistant to replace all parts and snake the blocked pipe. He succeeded quickly but, the block was still there after all that. Frank came out at his earliest available slot the next day and re-snaked the drain with a longer snake and boom success! Charges for the 2nd day were minimal and he didn't leave until he made sure everything worked. Communication, response time, thoroughness and honesty were all 5 stars. Frank came for a multi-faceted project: unclogging the kitchen sink and replacing a bathroom sink. He was prompt, on-time, and professional. He explained what was happening, took a leaky valve in-stride, turned off the water to the house and quickly replaced the valves. His work was very thorough, he replaced the bathroom faucet, unclogged the kitchen sink. While he was replacing the bathroom faucet he noticed our bathroom toilet water was running (this was a long standing issue that I had forgotten about) and fixed that on the spot as well. Got an unnamed company to check it out and they claimed it was going to be a very extensive multi-day job. Called F&A and they checked it out. I had this guy out two years ago just before the 2016 election, to fix a plugged up sewer. He did the job by himself and the fee was reasonable. I just had him out again for the same problem. Called him up and asked his charge per hour. "I can't give you that, I have to see the problem." This time he comes with two other guys to help him. I guess something has happened to him and he needs help now. At any rate, he charges more than twice as much for the same exact job. Then he recommends my whole sewer line needs to be redone to increase the slope. I ask what the slope should be and he says "I always recommend as much as possible." The dude behind him politely suggests 1/8" per foot. Yea, the latter is the correct answer. Too great a slope causes problems with venting and smell... Anyway, his rough estimate is $4,000-$5,500 or so for the job. I ask him how much he charges per hour. Says he can't say, "I just have to start working on a part and go from there. ...". They showed up a half hour later wearing masks for COVID and did not enter until I was wearing a mask and they were invited in. They got right to work on my toilet and replaced two parts to get the tank filling again and the toilet working properly. They came out and gave me an estimate of $375 just to snake the drain! I kindly declined. After I called Frank. Explained my situation and was quoted a much more competitive price. He came out in an hour and was able to unclog the drain in 5 mins. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great experience! He even gave me a 40 day warranty.
