Service was amazing everyone was so friendly. The food was great flavorful good portions this is definitely a favorite in my household now. The menudo was amazing just couldn't get enough and man they pack the bowl in worth every dollar.

Dinner plate under $17. I had the 2 breaded fish taco plate with beans and rice, the chipotle ranch was tangy with the right amount of savory. My husband had a 2 beef taco plate and said it was a nice crisp shell and not too greasy. He's not a fan of frijoles, but he ate all of it on his plate even after having tacos for lunch today too. Gabriela was our server and she did a great job, our food was out on the table fast. It's very small inside, but the patio has more room for a group. I'll be back, I enjoyed all of it, from the warm tortilla chips and salsa to the great staff.

We have driven by here numerous times and never thought to stop. So when we were in the area, we noticed it was busy so decided to stop. Why have I not tried this place? It is amazing. Service was amazing and the man who took our order was great. We talked to him about it being our first time and he made sure to take care of us. He recommended plates that were popular so that was definitely a plus. A hole in the wall but exceptional service/food. The patio is a must on those hot summer days, too. Since we could not make a selection because we wanted everything, we decided on the two entree plate to get the top two items I wanted. I went with the hard shell taco and tamale that came with rice and beans. The rice and beans made the food that much better. Definitely recommend both. Overall, great place and great service. They have some happy hour deals so we will def be back to have a drink with some great food.

We made a random stop to get something to eat and decided on the ranchero burrito (carne asada and chorizo) and enchiladas de camarones. The carne asada was tender and paired well with the chorizo. The enchilada sauce was tasty. It's a bit pricey for what the serving size but everything has gone up

    Taquitos plate was so good!

Great food and great service! Visiting from NorCal and looking for that authentic LA Mexican food experience. I was not disappointed, reminded me of when I used to live down here! Clean and friendly. Thank you!

Tucked away in Lomita, this unassuming gem delivers an authentic taste of Yucatán. The green chilaquiles--crisp tortilla chips drenched in tangy salsa verde and crowned with over-easy eggs--are a standout, especially alongside the rich, house-made refried beans. The Boxito burrito, a masterful blend of slow-cooked pork, rice, and beans laced with a deep, earthy black sauce, transports you straight to Merida. With warm, attentive service from Angel and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit for South Bay diners. Thanks for reading

Two item combo. Chicken taco, chicken enchilada. $19 and change. Erroneously didn't include salsa.

I've tried several items. Food for the most part is good. Menudo is the best in town. Restaurant is cozy with patio seating. Several TV's broadcast sports or current events for your viewing pleasure. Service is pleasant, friendly, or surly depending on your server.

I asked the young lady at the counter how the salmon tacos were prepared and, by her reaction, you would have thought I asked her to explain the theory of relativity. Geeze Louise, it was taco Tuesday and she had to ask her workmates what was in the salmon taco. Then my sister's order of fire roasted corn and zucchini was loaded with chili flakes. Fired roasted corn usually means that the corn has been cooked over an open flame and is actually "roasted" corn. Fire roasted corn at this restaurant means that your mouth will be on fire when you eat it. Not good for someone with spice sensitivity. That's not good. What's worse is that when my sister took the spicy dish to exchange it, the young man who appeared to be in charge, told her "it's not too spicy for me". Wow!!! That's what I call an employee who needs some customer service training. So beware the fire roasted corn here and have some Pepto-Bismol ready for afterwards.

The pickled daikon and carrots also cut through the richness of the meat. We also got the spicy Cajun bag, which had a good amount of seafood and was easily splittable between two people. The seafood tasted fresh, and the sauce was very flavorful! The Thai tea was also creamy and refreshing, perfect for fighting the heat of the seafood. There is no bathroom, but the staff was also super nice and let us wash our hands in the sink behind the register. The spot is pretty small, with a few tables inside. I added 5 more sausages ($1/each), 2 more muscles ($1/each), 1lb of shrimp ($14 extra), and a soda can ($2)... $64 after taxes. Food arrives and we're given a pair of cafeteria lady plastic gloves, 2 of the thinnest papper plates imaginable and about 7 napkins. Theres no covers on the bench so I slice our bag open to where we can grab the food but not spill out on the table. Food gymnastics! When we finish eating we ask for wet naps to clean our hands and they dont have any, restroom? Nope, no public restroom. Were told we can come into the kitchen and wash our hands of we like.... thanks but no thanks. Thr girl still the register was super friendly though, so she got them an extra star in my review. The food: I dont know if im spoiled by other places, but it could also be that this isnt specifically a sea food boil place. Its a Asian fusion location with an option of a seafood boil bag, but i come to expect a bit more out of the sauce option. Like the sauce that was in the bag was just enough to coat the food and that's it. I seen like a couple sliced garlic pieces but really? Like 6 or 7 slices? Then the sausages.... theyre store bought hilshire farms sausages... and to charge $1 A SLICE IS DIABOLICAL! The clams were chewy, the shrimp was mushy... im forever now gonna take that 30 minte drive to anywhere for seafood boil. I really wanted to like this place, I really did... but im sorry, I just cant do a boil from here again.

The menu, is a bit of this and a little of that. We really didn't know what we were in the mood for. I decided on 1 oyster and one scallop on the half shell. Very fresh, kind of small, servings. The sauce on each were unique and flavorful with a shallot accompaniment. Very nice though. Really balanced flow. The oyster, well I dont know how to express it any other way other than that you need this. You really do. I ordered the mushroom empenadas, my friend ordered steak tacos. The steak tacos were really good, with a nice portion. Meat had nice flavor, as did the aioli. No surprises with this dish, I mean steak tacos is self explanatory. The mushroom empenada was fantastic. Very rich, and filling. Just baked out of the oven with a perfect brown on the bread. Excellent flavor. Instead of the rosemary aioli, I had the mango jalapeño spread to dip into. Fantastic. Definitely coming back. Food took a bit to come out, but this isn't a fast casual dump. Its a little quiet neighborhood gem. Enjoy it.

It was located on our way back from Palos Verdes to Long Beach, so stopped in to check it out. It is located in a small strip mall with limited parking, so my wife waited with the car running while I ran in. The first thing one notices is the deli selection of refrigerated ceviches. It is similar to what one can get at the deli section of a Mexican supermarket, including being able to order by the pound. One can get in/out quickly if one just orders what is available in the deli counter. There is also a decent size dining room, where one can order and eat the standard mariscos dishes that the area is well known for. They do accept credit card, and one pound of ceviche de pulpo and half pound of ceviche de camaron cost under $20. It came with 3 orders of tostadas, limes, and hot sauce (thinking half a pound is considered a serving so my order was meant for 3 people). It was packaged well for easy carry out. Brought it home, and it was delicious. The thing I most appreciated was the value: how much seafood was in the serving. Octopus has gotten really expensive, and the amount of meat they gave (vs mostly the vegetables and liquid that the Mexican supermarkets seem to give now) was very generous. This included the shrimp ceviche as well. Both used the lime vegetable ceviche mix that tastes pretty similar to others that I have had. It's always a pleasure to find a new place that serves your favorite dishes but with more value AND is close enough to stop-in without driving too far. Mariscos Rosarito is that place for me now, and I look forward to trying more of their dishes in the future.
