Another fantastic experience!! The focaccia is beyond!!! The Chicken Milanese with steamed vegetables, is always my favorite!! My friend had the Chicken Piccata. The best service!!

I am so glad I decided to come here for a late lunch/early dinner. I was able to find street parking and it looks like parking enforcement stops at 4:20pm as I tried to pay for an hour, but it limited me to just 10 minutes as I parked at 4:10pm. Come to find out, there's parking in the back of the restaurant. Walked in and there was no one in the restaurant. So I had the whole place to myself. Definitely feels like this place has been here for a while and it was opened in the 80's. I ordered the calamari, Margherita pizza and chicken piccata. While waiting, they brought out a bread basket. With my first bite, I was like, this is really good and it gave me high hopes that the food was going to be above average. The calamari came out first and I have to admit that it's definitely overpriced for the amount they give you. Granted it was good and the marinara sauce elevated the dish, but I thought it was a little pricey. The pizza and pasta came out and the chicken piccata was probably one of the best I've ever had. The linguine was still al dente. The wine & butter sauce was lemony, but not overly tart. The capers was a great addition and helped cut the richness. The chicken was pounded thinly and was still tender and juicy. It was very good. The pizza was fresh and had good flavors. The dough could be better though. At first, it kind of had a cardboard texture to it, but still good. If they can make the dough more airy and and crispy under carriage, that would be perfect. Instead, it was dense and flat. Overall, I think I might have found my go to Italian in the Valley. Best thing is that the prices are not overly outrageous and affordable.

We called ahead for a group of 8 and asked for a reservation in which they responded with we don't take reservations and that the wait should be under 20 minutes if we arrive soon. We arrived at 6:00 and weren't seated until 7:00 pm, while other groups with reservations got seated.... By the time we ordered it was close to 7:30 and our food didn't arrive until after 8pm. So the service wasn't particularly good, but the food was decent.

Parking: This restaurant has 6 reserved spots, but they were all taken, so I had to street park across the road in the neighborhood nearby. 1.5 star. Staff: I asked guy at front desk if I could sit and eat, he said "sure if you can find a seat", the walked away... Very busy, but I found an empty table. They do have chairs in the back for people to sit and wait for a table to open up. My waiter was okay, but the host stand was lacking.. 2 star Food: While looking thru the menu, they brought out garlic bread, it was very good. And brought me my drink. I had to wait another 10 minutes before the waiter took my order. My entree was Fusilli noodles with meat balls in Marinara sauce. My entree was okay, not that good to me. Pizza was real good 4. Bread sticks were real good 4. Entree was mid 2.5. 3.5 stars Ambience: Not too loud, conversation is easy. Very crowded and the noise is just from neighbor tables having conversations. This is a good location for dates, meal with friends or family. I wouldn't suggest bringing groups larger than 4 people. 3 stars. Overall: The main entree was not my favorite, but the pizza was good. I would consider ordering takeout pizza next time, but nothing else. My friends are hopefully planning to come visit soon, so I'm trying to find new places to take them, but I'll scratch this one off my list. (1.5+2+3.5+3)/4 = 2.5 stars.

    Amazing focaccia bread

Just the type of neighborhood Italian restaurant you hope to find when you're visiting a new town. (My brother knew about this gem.) We came to enjoy a late lunch one day. I was thrilled to see a big basket of complimentary focaccia come out first - always a great sign. I spoiled my appetite by eating too much of it! My brother split a salad with his daughter, and it looked very fresh and tasty. Then all four of us shared a combo pizza - they were very generous with the toppings. Our server was friendly and sweet and we were all happy to end our day out at this terrific spot.

Grilled chicken with Gorgonzola sauce and arugula and pasta ... delicious!!!

I've been coming to Fabrocini's in Tarzana for years, and every visit reminds me why it's such a gem. Order the waiters recommendation of an off-menu item--grilled chicken with Gorgonzola sauce--that was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked chicken paired with that rich, tangy sauce... I still think about it. My son is picky when it comes to chicken Parmesan and he loved it here . The service has always been top-notch. The staff truly makes you feel like family--friendly, attentive, and always on point. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, you can expect warm hospitality and consistently great food. This place holds a lot of good memories, and I'll keep coming back as long as they're here. Highly recommend!

    Bread is delicious!

We sat outside surrounded by greenery, large umbrellas, and plenty of natural light. Even with a full patio, it still felt comfortable for a long lunch and conversation. I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon with a pistachio and coconut crust, roasted carrots, and cumin vinaigrette. The salmon was cooked beautifully, and I loved the texture from the crust. The roasted carrots added a little sweetness without competing with the fish. My friend had a salad topped with grilled chicken, and we shared an order of fries. I also had one of their cocktails, which arrived with an orchid garnish and felt perfect for an afternoon on the patio. Service was attentive throughout lunch, and we never felt hurried even as the patio stayed busy. Casaléna also offers valet, which I appreciated given the Ventura Boulevard location. I'm glad I finally checked it out. I loved it enough that I ended up coming back for dinner for a birthday celebration, which probably says more than anything else I could add.

We were on the fence if we should leave or not because it looked like they were having an important, impromptu meeting because you can see mostly everyone wearing a denim shirt in the kitchen corner. The timing for someone to ask if we wanted drinks or had questions of the menu was off putting. Once we finally had service, the food came promptly and it was delicious but it took awhile for our drinks to come because we had already finished our apps and halfway through our entrees. I have always enjoyed their happy hours here and the hours are: M-F 3-6PM, at the bar and high bar top tables. I like their garlic soup extra hot, the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta with Italian sausage, squid ink pasta with calamari and shrimp, and I don't remember which one I liked more or if I like both as well: the bolognese or the braised short rib. I'm sure you cannot go wrong trying both though. I also enjoy coming for their DineLA, so this one experience is probably just a one off.

Wonderful, Mother's Day weekend meal here!…read more A warm, rustic vibe, with tables, booths, a widescreen TV in the bar, and enclosed front patio. As a first time diner, I appreciated the warm greeting from our Maître d'. Our server, Anna, was equally warm. Fritto Misto - Calamari, shrimp, marinara - for the starter was cooked in a delicate batter and was one of our better fried calamari experiences. Next, we had the H.O.M. Salad - their version of an Italian Chop Salad. I subbed romaine for the spring salad mix and it was delicious. I had the Funghi pizza - mushrooms, prosciutto, truffle oil - which was, by far, some of the best pizza in the SFV -- thin, foldable and packed with flavor! My husband had the chicken farm which he liked. Drinks were good. H.O.M. Cake for dessert was a nice way to end the evening. A bit dry for my taste but my husband enjoyed it! Let the cake soak the ice cream for a moister bite. Looking forward to our next visit!

So disppointing. ah, where do I start?…read more The Space: Rather nice outdoor seating with covered or open patio with heaters that make a difference, decent table, yet since it is a street facing, you are basically watching the sidewalk, which is fine...Just that no one thought to move the trashcan sitting right across our table. Just not the best thing to think of when eating, different smells and such. Not hard to move it out the way. Maybe work it out with other neigbors, but, it needs to move. Inside looks lovely. I think we are on year 6, and man...while this place was rather the buzz years back, I have to update the food... Dishes: Sorry to say, but 5 out of the 6 dishes just flat out failed. We had the saltiest Gnochi, the sweetest ravioli with a sweet cream sauce AND reduced balsamic...that sauce is bad....ruined some decent raviolis. The Ceasar salad...How do you mess that up? Well, bad dressing and less attention to the details in ingredients, thats how, and they did indeed mess that up. Fusilli was OK. Not a lot to this to mess up and it survived. The Fritto Misto, for an Italian place was battered like the beer pub down the street, but the 2 pieces of chunky shrimp did taste good and 1 decent piece of calamari. The amount of oily breading on these is way grossly too much. What happen to "dust it on"?, Italian, Greek, and any European ocean side will hardly cake on any batter. There are 3-4 nice pieces and the rest are rather small weak calamari. Not too bad, but the batter is bad. Sauce was pretty much pizza sauce, not bad, but nothing to remember. Didnt have much of flavor, was Ok with the lemon. Good selection of drinks, which is a plus, Nice glasses of wine went well. SERVICE: (Or lack there of!) We got water, and drinks, and then got our starters in, but after the starters came, she was gone and never to return....As it felt. The starters were done, the glasses were empty, and tic toc...no order. Once a service brings starters, you want to be back pretty quick to check on the table, see if they need anything, and if they can place the main orders. Our table never got checked on regardless of the water pouring assistants who were flagged down. We finished and waited. Finally she did show up, we put orders in, and as expected we waited. Honestly, this night broke the back. Have no reason to return. I say this as $250 for a casual dinner is not something you can do just OK or less in. Only 1 dish had any meat in it, and that too was less than half eaten. In fact, all the dishes except the Fusilli were left with more than half their food. Not one peep of interest of why from the waiters. Just rushed cleared and its NEXT!

Our server was super attentive and considerate of our conversations while making sure that we were served promptly. A really great experience from start to finish! The menu was great. All pasta besides the penne is made in house, and it's absolutely DELICIOUS. We shared the burrata caprese, which was great, but a slightly small portion. I ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce, and it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect portion size, amazing texture for the sauce and noodles, and I was blown away by the sauce. My spouse ordered the cacio e pepe, and it was excellent--I must admit that I stole a few of her noodles and dipped them in the little puddles of vodka I still had left on my plate after I devoured my pasta. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu, and it was stellar. Perfect balance, textures, and flavors. This was my favorite Italian restaurant experience I've had in LA so far. I cannot wait to return!
