My family and I love the food here but I just had the worst customer service and would rather take my business elsewhere. I'm not sure what the issue was with the website but it kept freezing every time I got to the same spot. So I called in my order. First, I got put on hold for over 10 minutes. Then when I got there to pick up, my total was higher than what it had been when trying to order online. I checked the receipt and my entree was $8 more then what it had been online and noticed they had put 4 half sides instead of 2 like I ordered. Apparently the girl had only heard "2 sides" so she tried to argue with me that 2 sides equals 4 half sides. No, I ordered 2 half sides and if I wanted 4 you would've heard me say 4. Anyway, Dara told me put my card in to refund me. She handed me the receipt and there was a line to tip. I asked her if she charged me again?? Fadi's in Katy is my favorite location of Fadi's and the Rotisserie chicken is my favorite menu here. I ordered one entree with one side. Good thing about the sides is that if you order 1 side and ask for 1/2 portion of the sides, you can get 2 sides. I got the avocado hummus dip to eat with the free pita bread and the kale salad. The kale salad is so fresh and delicious. The Rotisserie chicken was good as always - you can get the white part or dark part and I always get the dark meat because it's so tender and juicy. We're here frequently, probably every two weeks. Most of the time we select from the buffet, which always looks very appetizing. Lots of options including vegetarian/vegan to choose from with a large range of different types of hummus and salads. It's easy to order falafel or shoarma or any other hot dishes. They also have some really nice deserts (rice pudding, baklava, etc). Parking is easy as there is a large parking area in front of the restaurant. It's gets a bit expensive especially when you get greedy and request more and more sides from the buffet. The (side) portions vary significantly depending on the person and the pricing schema is confusing as by the end of the line, it's often not very clear how many sides you ordered. Be sure to clearly state if you want a full or a half side and count them as you go along. Overall, we've been going to the Fadi's restaurants for the last 25 years or so and really enjoy their food. So first time at this place. I have heard a lot about it. The location is very nice on the inside. Lots of tables. Semi-family style dining. The menu (as per the monitors) make it seem fairly simple But when you see the options it's a bit overwhelming. Specifically for the sides. The sneeze guards in front of the food are rather fruitless. People reach over to point at what they want. And the severs hand food over the barricade so contamination is possible. The service is fairly prompt but not practical. The idea of giving you a dish of sides and then having to wait for your meat/fish/protein option is silly. You should just order your meal. Get a number. Then be served all of your food at your table. Poor design in my opinion. The food is okay. Not the best shawarma I have ever had but okay. The sides were all okay. Once again. Not the best but okay. The price is right and the options are good. They allow "half options" also so you can partake in some of the sides and really see what you like and don't like. During the Covid take out time and have spent an hour at this location. Drove here hoping to order and directions said to go to the drive-through which was closed or use the website. The website was difficult to register any order and when I went to pay was unable to. Frustrated I saw someone standing at the door ordering, so I join the line and put in the order I had just tried to make. 35 minutes later I still have not received my meal.
