Fun Irish pub in a college town. Plays a classic rock 'n' roll soundtrack never playing a bad song. Tons of fun on game day!

I hadnt been back here in 17 years. With all the changes in this area it was nice to come back to one place that hadn't changed. Still carry a great selection of beers on tap. We were out early so there wasn't a crowd and we received great service.

Faegan's is the perfect place to catch up with friends or family while enjoying a delicious meal if you are looking to eat near Syracuse University. Its location on Marshall Street is extremely convenient and allows for only a short walk from campus. A group of friends and I went to the restaurant for an early dinner and were very happy with our experience. The atmosphere is very inviting and the service is fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly and quick to bring us anything we needed. On top of all of that, the restaurant offers a delicious array of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and other pub favorites. I ordered the Praise Burger with a side of fries and was extremely pleased with my meal. Although the portion was a bit larger than I would have like, I thought the burger was delicious as were the fries. I would definitely consider ordering this meal again. I have eaten at Faegan's numerous times now and it does not disappoint! A very good choice for anyone looking to grab a bite to eat within the Syracuse area.

Very underrated as far as campus bars go. Faegan's offers three cool nights: Beer Tour (try beers around the world) Flip Night (flip a coin for free beer) and Senior Sunday. But it offers more than that. The food is awesome. The nachos are crazy good, and the pulled pork and fish and chips are my favorites. This is the nicest bar on campus with an awesome beer selection. If Chucks wasn't so legendary, I have no doubt Faegan's would be packed every night cause it's honestly a nicer bar.

The blonde girl bartender gave me a drink with one of her greasy hairs in it. She's abysmal. Other than that this place is great.

Best upperclassman/grad student bar on Syracuse campus-incredible selection of beers on tap and wide variety of foods at a decent price.

Fresh delicious food, though their beer was on the pricey side. Staff was friendly and great college atmosphere.

Good bar, but mediocre-to-terrible food. Go to drink, not to eat.

Server was apologetic, taste was pleasant but strong and lacking garnish. My friend just ordered a light draft and we ordered Reuben egg rolls to share. Best Reuben egg rolls I have had in the Cuse! Tons of tender corned beef, and just a hint of sauerkraut and Swiss served with thousands island dressing! I ordered an extra for take out for my Irish man at home and short rib tacos. Those did not keep well for take out, more meat and toppings would improve the continuity compared to tortillas. Service excellent, frequently checked upon for refills and food order. Prompt delivery and friendly service! Great place for meetups with a pub sports bar atmosphere. I'm not sure I noticed remanence of the prior press room. Many televisions great for sport events. Menu is simple and pub oriented.

When I saw an espresso martini and cake pairing, I knew I had to pull the trigger. Met up with some friends and we all ordered food beforehand to offset the impending sugar rush. I'd had their naan pizza in the past and loved it, so this time I went with the one that had caramelized onions and goat cheese. AMAZING. Crispy crust, melty cheese, tangy onions and the perfect amount of everything in every bite. Then onto the main event: the flights! The staff brought over our cake and drinks and were so great about explaining what to pair together. (There was also a card) Desserts were a carrot cake with the most impossibly airy icing, a pistachio cheesecake with chocolate ganache, and a chocolate cake with a light nutella icing. I'm usually a carrot cake girlie and while I enjoyed it, the cheesecake was actually my favorite. Just the perfect pistachio flavor and a wonderful consistency -- so, so smooth. Our waitress told us that the owner is the one that makes all of the desserts too. A multi-talented queen. As far as the martinis, my favorite was the affogato one. These flight-nights are one-off events and the items aren't normally on the menu, so if you see one that looks extra appealing, get yourself there! I've been for normal service too though, and honestly, never have had a misfire here. One thing I especially love is the option to order drinks in 5oz pours, a godsend for lightweights like me. Ambiance, food, drinks, all excellent.

Our server, Karen was great at explaining the menu and providing nice service. She informed me that several of their burger have been rated the best in the state at various times over the past several years, which was impressive. She also said their chicken wings were pretty highly rated locally, so we started with an order of 6 of the wings with their Dr Pepper BBQ sauce. These wings came out over fried, looking pathetic, and they were dry. The Dr Pepper BBQ sauce had no positive effect or flavor, so I asked for some of their hot wings sauce, which she properly brought. The sauce was great, I wish we would have ordered that instead. It definitely helped the flavor part of the wings, but the texture (plus they were so small) really was a deal breaker for us and we each had one and that was it. Next up was their burger - I got their Beef on Weck Burger. I was worried about the saltiness of the bun, as I find Kimmelweck buns to be way too salty, but she assured me that they get these from a local bakery and they're perfect. So, I ordered it and was VERY HAPPY with it! The bun was insanely good... soft and so flavorful, while hardly salty at all, which was my preference. The roast beef on it was really good and tender. The burger meat was so very tasty and tender - WOW! The entire burger came together perfectly! I got it with a side of poutine fries and those fries were amazing! The Guiness gravy on them was very flavorful! Overall, while we didn't enjoy the wings, the rest of our food and the service definitely made this place a worthwhile visit! I feel like the service and mains far exceeded our expectations, so we can overlook those terrible wings and still give a 5 star review. I'd definitely return!!
