2024-02-14. Fahem Steakhouse - Charcoal Grill, Dearborn, MI. What defines a Brazilian Steakhouse? Many "Brazilian" steakhouses have waiters constantly coming by and serving endless cuts of charcoal grilled skewered meats. Well, this is not the case here at Fahem. The restaurant is a standalone building with it's own private parking lot. While they do serve steaks, what sets Fahem apart from the bottomless Brazilian steakhouses is one particular cut of beef... the Picanha. Picanha is Brazil's most popular cut of steak. Picanha is also known as the Culotte steak and is part of the Rump. More commonly known as the Sirloin Cap, Rump Cap, or Rump Cover, and is a triangular cut from the top of the rump above the fat cap. The cut of meat is usually about 1 to 1.5 inches thick and comes with a layer of fat that is not removed and cooked with it. If cooked properly, culotte steak is tender and juicy with a noticeable beefy flavor. The other thing about Fahem is that they sell Wagyu, but these cuts will run you about $160. Here at Fahem, it's hats off to the chef. We came on valentines day and they did not disappoint! The Culotte Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We had asked that caution should err towards rare rather than medium, but they nailed it! There was a bigger layer of fat than I would have liked, but cooking with it brought out the flavors of the beef in full glory. We had also ordered a NY strip and that too was cooked really nicely (not as good as the Culotte, but they did error on the rare side as requested.) The steaks come with one side (rice, fries, or salad.) We went with the rice, and the fries. The rice wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular either. The fries were surprising! They were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and potatoey on the inside. I'm not a fan of potatoes or fries, but these I'd eat. The restaurant itself is brightly lit and nothing fancy. The ambiance is casual and there is no dress code. The wait staff was friendly, and while there is a nook with a larger table, there are no private rooms or sectioned off areas. The only other notable is the price. Fahem is pricey. The steaks are $40 - $50 per, and not reflected properly at $$ online. Fahem is clearly a $$$ to $$$$ restaurant. If you're on a date, expect to drop closer to $200 once you factor in drinks, appetizers, tax and tip. If you'd like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

They keep taking things off the menu. Their chickpea salad was great. Gone. They need more choices on the menu.

We came back again because the food was so good. I got the mushroom French omelette and my wife got the 3 egg Mediterranean dish with beef bacon . Both were pretty fricken amazing! However, yesterday When we arrived around 10am they were way understaffed!! I was under the impression that one server didn't show. The poor hostess Hala was having to do literally everything. Guests were left waiting at the door. She would run back to seat them. Took orders. Delivered the orders. You're lucky to have such a hard worker. Hala was taking care of everything and very organized. She knows the operation and She deserves a big raise!!! Around 10:20 that day a group of staff 6 or so started showing up. I would assume that they were all arriving according to their schedule. Crazy scheduling. Poor management. But again the food was great. And the second day they were staffed well and everything was great. So I changed my original 2 star to 5. Maybe the first day was just a glitch. Enjoy!!

This is one of the busier places on a weekday where it's usually office workers like me coming out for lunch. Even so I was able to walk in and get a table right away by the window. I was able to get a drink right away while I look through the menu. Lots of options but the Dirty Chai caught my eye. I could pick the size and if I wanted hot or cold. Tempted to get waffles but I was craving eggs. My waiter gave a good review of Mediterranean 3 eggs. I saw we can choose the protein so I went with the smoked salmon. Delicious choice! Eggs were cooked just right with runny yolk as well. I will try this place again to try their other items.

Although I was the only one waiting at the unstaffed hostess station, it took some time for my acknowledgment by a staff member to offer me seating in a booth. Seating options are traditional tables, booths, bar and patio. The service was okay once I was seated. Feliberto was a good server and kept my unsweetened tea refills coming. We waited about 10 minutes without being greeted or seated, even though several servers noticed us. Eventually, someone seated us, but it was a disappointing first impression. We ordered the rosemary truffle fries, onion rings, and a wood-fired hand-tossed pizza, customized with our choice of toppings. They don't modify any of their alcoholic drinks to make virgin versions. The food took a while to arrive, but everything came out together. The onion rings were crispy and enjoyable, and the pizza was good. The rosemary truffle fries, however, were just okay and lacked the flavor we expected. As the evening went on, the restaurant slowly filled up, with the bar area becoming completely packed. Overall, it's a nice, cool spot with decent food, but the service could definitely use improvement. The experience was okay, but it left us wanting a bit more.

Waited a short while thinking they would be arriving soon. NOPE. Got the hostess's attention and asked about getting something to butter our bread. Her response was " there isn't any more silverware at the hostess stand". I asked if they were getting any more and she said "I don't know" and walked away. Now we get our salads. We ask Alex, our server, for some utensils and he says he will get some right away and apologizes for not having any. Rest of the meal goes off without a hitch. Alex does a great job as our server. Friendly and polite even though he was very busy. We appreciated his service. Steaks were cooked perfectly. We had a enjoyable meal. Chocolate stampede cake was huge. Took most of it home. One small snafu but would still say this is a got to place in my book.

No updated time was given and half of the table reserved for us which we could see was empty and cleaned was given away which made our wait time even longer. We addressed the situation with host and she responded with "oh they will be quick i promise". As you can imagine that did not sit well with my party. After 4:30pm came around I asked to speak with a manager (Bill). I made him aware of the situation and he directed the host to seat us immediately.Upon being seated we received awesome service from both servicers right away. They told us that the manager would be out to speak with us shortly. When he did arrive I explained that we love Long Horn and we were expecting to be accommodated accordingly ( not for free but atleast accomadated) and assured me that we would be. Orders for all drinks, apps, and entrees were put in by 5:30pm and although the appetizers and drinks came out quickly we did not receive our dinner until around 8pm. We asked for updates and we're told the kitchen was backed up. When everyone finally started eating we noticed the food was cold, undercooked, over cooked. People were missing items etc it was just a big mess. So we asked for the manager again and made him aware of the cold food and he explained to me that it's too hard to assure hot food with a party size(15) this large. By this time we were very restless and just ready to go.Many people in our party sent their food back others just wanted a discount because they were still hungry. The servicers came over with all the bills and nothing was accomadated. We told her that this is unacceptable and that we are highly disappointed in our experience. We requested the manager again, but when she came back she told us that he was tied up with something else and could not come to us at that time. We were prepared to just pay the bill because we wanted to leave but then was told have a good night and the bill was taken care of. Shortly after half our party was gone the manager comes to the table and asked were did everyone go. We explained we waited and were told to have a good night. He then turns and yells/blames the servers for what happened. We all ended up leaving after that because we were so upset with our experience.

The confirmation text didn't come through until we were already inside, which might be bad reception, but it almost cost us the table. Then they sat us right across from the back kitchen entrance. Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again. Prices were right for what it is, a bistro concept. It's in Wayne, which surprised me since I didn't know spots like this existed out here. Wide enough menu that I'll be back. Next time I'm speaking up about the seating.
