Last weekend I found my rear tire flat on my 1989 Pickup. I admit I don't use the truck much and was puzzled as to why the tire went flat. After removing the tire, I took it to Fahey's. They checked over tire and asked me to leave it for an hour or so. When I returned later in the day, the tire was ready and I was pleasantly surprised when I was handed an invoice for only $8.00! I was told the stem had rotted out and the guy felt terrible charging me an $8.000 fee. I couldn't have been happier. I was expecting a $20-$25 bill as I had become accustomed to from other local retailers. Fahey's has earned my future business. read more

Tremendous knowledge and service. Most importantly, 100% trust worthy. Can you say that about your mechanic? I have been coming here and sending others here for 25 years. I would never go anywhere else. I once went in with a problem that was diagnosed as a failed water pump. The car was out of warranty by 3000 miles. They could easily have just replaced it and charged me, but instead, they told me to try explaining to the dealer that the pump went so soon. Even though it was out of warranty, the dealer fixed it free. Fahey sent easy business away for my sake. There should be 10 stars! read more

Had a tire on my truck that was losing air due to a piece of shrapnel in the tread. I called them in the AM, but they said they were a bit backed up. I told them I could come in around 2 PM, so they put me in for an appointment. I showed up at 2, they took my truck right away, patched the tire and also rotated them. I was out of there in about an hour and for less than 40 bucks. Can't really beat that. I tried them because my experience with other tire shops on the North Shore has been less than desirable. I will definitely go back to Fahey for future tire needs. read more

I generally only add reviews when I'm really pissed off, or something is very deserving of praise, which is exactly the case with Fahey. My wife and I were referred to them several years ago and since then have used them exclusively for servicing our two cars. I had to use them twice in the past week and was reminded that these guys are the absolute best. They are friendly, informative, prompt and are the only repair service I have ever used where the actual cost/time for a repair is lower than the estimate. ...Never had the usual, "oh yeah, and we found this problem too." Their rates are far below dealer rates and the service is really exceptional. I will always bring our work to Fahey and can't recommend a service more strongly. read more

We have been taking our cars to Fahey for all service for over 10 years and have been pleased with their high quality service and integrity. Today I was blown away - I had an unknown noise that was diagnosed as a $500+ item to fix- in their research for the part they determined I was still under warranty and suggested I take to dealer for service. A friend of mine had over heard two people talking about Fayhe's tire. I had ordered my tires online and had Fahey's tire put them on. Months later the tires were losing air, I brought them back they couldn't find the problem right away and they couldn't apologize enough for that and the wait. They found the problem and did not charge me full price. I had to go back again today one of the tires were losing air. They took the car in right away fixed it at no charge (bad censor). This is not about the money that I saved it is about the customer service that all of these men give each and every customer wether they know you or not, they treat everyone the same and with the best service. These people are honest, knowledgeable and friendly. When I first took my two cars there for new tires, the service manager came out to the lot, examined my cars, measured, checked for rot, and told me that he would love to sell me new tires, but that neither car needed tires at this time. Talk about honest!! Recently, we took our Subaru in for some work due to under-carriage noise, and they were able to identify and fix the problem. Again, no pressure to buy tires! When we DO need tires, this is the place we will be using. read more

My daughter is attending college in the Boston area. Her front end started shaking at highway speeds. I thought she might need an alinement. I call Fahey Tire. They were professional on the phone and informative so I made an appointment . On her way to the shop the front end got much worse and the car broke down in the parking lot of Faheys. They pushed her car into the shop and quickly determined she had a bad axel. In less than an hour they put a new axel in and she was on her way! I had all my kids loaded in the car for a fun outing and remembered the tire had a nail in it! Ugh. I called ahead to Fahey's based on recommendations from neighbors and they said there would be a 3-4 hour wait because everyone was switching out their snow tires. The kids were already loaded so I decided to just go and figured we could walk over to the lake and take the train home. That was probably an ambitious plan but I went with it. When we walked in and the gentleman behind the counter saw I had three kids, he helped me out and got the tire patched (yay! $24.95) more quickly. We were probably there an hour. The waiting room was pleasant and kid-friendly--fish tank, t.v., lots of fresh crayons, markers, and paper, books, toys, etc. There was also a computer and private consoles for people who don't want to hang in a kid-friendly waiting room. But, the waiting area was just a bonus. The reason for the five stars is that they helped me out and did a good job. When my son saw windshield wipers and reminded me we needed one, one of the guys took a look and cleaned the windshield wipers for me and told me that they would order me one if we needed, but that cleaning them might do the trick. They didn't need to do any of that--they're just a good business. I recommend them! read more

I paid $50 for an estimate to find out how much it would cost to have my vehicle fixed. I was told that it would take a little while to properly price the job and that I would receive an email before they closed for the day; no big deal. I paid my $50 and went on my way. I never heard back from them and called the next morning. The man who answered the phone had no idea who I was and that I had even been there the previous day, however, he assured me that he would get to bottom of it and get me that estimate. I also gave him a second email that he could send the estimate to just in case they had lost my contact info. Still, the estimate that I had paid for did not come. I called back the next day and spoke to Jim Fahey directly. He said that they were busy and assured me that I would get the estimate that day. Two weeks have gone by and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE ITEM THAT I PAID FOR! I have gone to them several times and I enjoy supporting local business, but never again will I go to them. I work hard for my money and I hate having it stolen from me! All my business will go to Wakefield Auto Repair from now on. read more
