Brought my mom's car in for her (with no appointment) when one of its tires seemed to be losing air. I thought that it was just a slow leak, but my mom, who doesn't always make the best decisions, said to just get a new tire. So that's what I went to Sullivan Tire to do. I told the guy behind the counter (whose name I wish I could remember) why I was there, and told him that I wanted a good tire, but not a super-top-of-the-line one. He could have just kept his mouth shut and let me spend money on a new tire, but instead he said that they'd check it first and see whether or not that was necessary. A short time later, he let me know that they'd found a nail in the tire, and that they'd removed it and patched it up. I was out of there quickly, and on the cheap (under $40). Can't ask for much more than that. I know where I'll be going next time I need tire service. read more

I was late for my appointment due to route 1 traffic but Sullivan accommodated me any way and my tires were installed quickly.

Everything done right and no condescending attitude toward me seeing as I was single woman with my own car and often the latter happens when I need work done on my automobile. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Driving from Boston to Florida, and tire sensor came on. They "were too busy and unable to check" possibly taking a whole 5 minutes. Definitely not the type of place that I would patronize. Valvoline was super helpful, took 3 minutes to add air and received a $10 tip. read more

Today I am taking 1 star out from them because of their policy. I have already bought Life time wheel alignment from them 3 times. First car, i think i used only twice. Then had to get rid of that car. Second car, only used once and i am very unfortunate when it comes to cars. I had to get rid of this car as well. Third car, i bought lifetime wheel alignment again. Manager was nice to give me $10 off. Now , i have 4th car and trying to get life time wheel alignment on it too. But they cant even price match with PepBoys who is offering for $149.99 (Sullivan tire is $199.99). After all that alignment purchase, i was expecting them at least to price match so could keep them but No they would not. They did not mind losing a regular customer over it. read more

Came in on Sunday at 10 AM, when they just opened. Had an oil change to do and was taken in. Waited for almost two hours to get it done. I was not told that it would take this long and after waiting for exactly an hour, I was told that my car will be taken in in another half an hour. Sure this place is clean and looks like they can handle all jobs, but this wait time for an oil change is unacceptable. They should have warned me that it will take this long. Poor communication. Given that there are many places which can quickly change the oil, this place is not a good place for that. read more

I have brought a few of my cars to Sullivan and I have to say on top of doing a good job they are honest about what needs to be done to the vehicles unlike other places and dealerships. A dealership on Rt 1 told me I needed new brakes. I had Sullivan Tire look at them, they told be there was more than 50% pads left and there was no need to replace them. This is one of a few examples with the same outcome which is why Sullivan gets my return business. went for and oil change and an estimate on a new muffler the oil change went fine, was told that they could not replace the muffler because a flange was missing off the connecting pipe. I was then giving an estimate of $1976.82 and was told that in order to fix the muffler I would have to replace the entire exhaust system (yes from the motor all the way back) I asked if they could just cut the flange and wield the to ends via a selves was told no, I went down the street to meineke ask if they could fix it (I did nit tell them about my experience at Sullivan tire) he said yes and fixed it for $365 no problem look at the rest of the exhaust said it look fine and off I went. Beware of the price gouging at Sullivan tire on route one Saugus south bound!!!!!!! I would now not even consider them to do an oil changel !!!!! read more

Joe at the front desk is truly your most valuable employee in my opinion. He is honest, helps look at options, offers advice and makes you able to somewhat relax in a stressful situation. I thought I would be in and out with a patch to a tire and ended up having to get 4 new tires which could have taken my whole day up. He was so helpful and understanding and made sure I got out at a reasonable hour so I could still Make it to work in time for a meeting. The service was excellent, but I thought one of the advantages of buying brick & mortar was free rotations but you only get those if you buy the warranty. They are generally among the most expensive auto service places if you don't catch a sale which is why they're only 4/5 for me. read more

I am a first time customer of this shop. The shop is clean and very well organized. I was greeted by Jim when i first walked in. He was very professional and helped with my service needs and promptly answered all my questions. John the service tech did an awesome job installing my new tires. He checked my brakes and said they were badly worn and suggested replacement. I was impressed with his knowledge of my vehicles condition and i was extremely happy to be given this opportunity to have my brakes repaired today. If you are thinking of taking your car then RUN don't walk to the nearest exit. Mostly i blame myself for being the idiot that keeps going there. First i bought a battery there last December. My husband went to start the car and it wouldn't start. I called them and brought my vechicle in because it was under warrantly. I told them my disdain for them when i took my bmw x5 to the one in Bedford for an OIL CHANGE that took 3 hrs probably because they were trying to fix what they destroyed and on the way home had no breaks. Bedford reimbutsed me for tbe oil change I ended up gettng rid of it because it was a trainwreck. Back to my dead battery. They told me i needed a new alternator. Reluctantly i put it in there because they told me if I did it somewhere else the battery would no longer be under warrantly.. $482 later i went home with my new alternator. 2 days later car is dead in the driveway. Have it jumped and bring it back. Wss told it was a defective alternator and they would replace it. They replaced it and 2 days later car is dead again. When i went in there "Joe had a Staples sweatshirt on and for a minute I wasn't sure where i was. I almost ordered color copies. They kept the car for another 4 days because they had to wait for the computer expert to come in, whuch made me wonder what the 5 other guys who worked there were doing. Jimmy called me that day and told me it was some kind of computer module for $1800!!!. When i told him i didnt want it done there he told me he was going on vacation but would try to find an after market one. In case u haven't figured it out i am a woman. When Arthur worked there i had trust in them. He left for California. I took the car somewhere else and it was the electric windows that were draining the battery. Sure enough got a slice in tire. Tire ruined and need a new one... Sullivan tire let me buy the insurance after the fact and did not charge me for new tire or balence.. we have a car being repaired here and they've had it for 2 days. it's one thing to be short a man or whatever else they said the issue is but quite another not to communicate with us on what's happening. several times they said they'd call, several times they did not call. we are now waiting for that "call" and it's already an hour after they said they would. Longtime customer of here. They've always done great work, a little pricey, but trusted their work until now... I called to inquire about mounting 4 winter tires on my car. The tires, which I already had, were brand new so I just needed them mounted/balanced. The gentleman on the phone quoted me $50 dollars PER TIRE... Absolutely ridiculous! Decided to take my business elsewhere, and went to NTB up the road where they had a special and mounted/balanced all 4 wheels for UNDER $60! When I told NTB about the price this place was asking they couldn't believe it! I know what you're thinking, most shops charge more than NTB charged me, and yes, you're right. However, upon doing a little research, before going to NTB the maximum price I could find @ nearby shops for the same service was no more than $30 per wheel. Again, Sullivan has done good work, hence why I'm not leaving one star, but honestly not sure I'm going to be coming back after trying to rip me off like this... read more

Hands down the best service I have had to do with tires. They had my rare tire size within 24 hours. My dealership said they wouldn't have it until 7-10 days. I found out later they called TFT. (check my TFT review) I was in and out in less than an hour. When I originally brought my vehicle in I was taken right away also. Great service, great price, and experienced technicians. read more
