This place has really gone downhill in the last year. Where to start there are so many problems. I know it's under renovation but I think they're like two people working here and no housekeeping. The two stars is for the people at the front desk being so friendly...when you can find them. Where to start..... 1) bathroom: see video: the tile was cracked in multiple places, there was a black substance leaking out of the shower head, and when I turned on the faucet, it spewed black junk all over the tub. There was also sand and hair in the tub. Gross. Empty Kleenex box with no replacement in sight. 2) no hair dryer, no iron 3)beds had no blankets, or if they were blankets they were as thin as sheets. Felt like I was sleeping on a box spring not a mattress. No spare blankets but there were three extra pillows literally thrown haphazardly in the closet. Called down for Kleenex and a blanket. Next morning a box of Kleenex was in a laundry bag outside my door. No blanket. Came back 8 hours later , app says "blanket delivered" . It has not. I had to call down again for it. 4) door to the outside has been propped open since we got here. Not sure overnight or not but no one is working....why is it propped open? 5) housekeeping does not appear to exist. Cup on the windowsill at the end of the hallway when I checked in on Friday. Sunday morning it's still there. As are the three bags of trash next to the elevator. 6) no idea when the breakfast floor was last cleaned. Footprints everywhere and you can hear the stickiness 7) weird white powder in my room. Have they been cleaned at all??? I feel like there are about 3 employees here and no housekeeping. I understand you're renovating but this is completely unacceptable, especially the mold or metal shavings that spew into the shower. Between that and getting a terrible night's sleep I hope I never have to come back.

We had a nice stay here . Rooms are clean and staff is really helpful . The best part is they have a golf cart to take u to the beach . Also getting back you have to call them and they are there in few minutes . Just we have to cross the signal and wait in the parking lot . The swimming pool water was bit cold . But I guess the temp keeps flickering in October . They have alligator and turtles in the water . That's so nice to see . Improvement :- they should stop using disposables for free breakfast . Why ruin a beautiful place . They should start using recycle silverware please.

We loved our room it was clean and comfortable I also loved how they make everything personal to you for example when I got the TV on each time the TV would post a welcome greeting to me it's the little things for me I enjoyed my stay.

Obstacles in front of the elevator.

The worst hotel experience I have ever personally had. They are NOT on the beach, they are blocks away and have a "private gate entrance" across the highway. It's not a terrible walk, but the images and wording are misleading. Next, their site does NOT say they're under construction (the desk said "Marriott.com does." The building door locks didn't work so you either got locked out or they were left unsecured (depending on the door you chose), they also didn't know that the key cards weren't working at the doors by the breakfast room. The construction workers kept blocking all three parking lot entry and exit points. We had to complain when a line of cars were trying to get out and none of them were moving the cones or equipment for cars to exit. The elevator broke down and trapped people REPEATEDLY. They called me in the middle of my stay saying "you want to stay another day?" I said "My reservation is for another day?!" She then proceeded to tell me that I was checking out that day. I pulled up my confirmation and checked, I prepaid for another day. Then had to give her my confirmation. They claimed "system errors yesterday must have had it wrong." I went to the office because I was concerned about overcharges. They assured me all was well. The tv never worked, we waited 45 min one evening for someone to "come fix" and they never sent anyone. The bathroom by lobby was clean but soap empty our entire stay in first dispenser, paper towels were out for at least a day and they didn't refill even after advised. The duvet was nasty stained, we didn't notice until til the morning checking out, as it had a cover sheet over it. Obstacles throughout, trash cans were gross (see pics). Upon check out the numbers on my invoice didn't match my reservation total. I brought it to her attention and was told "it's $20/day incidentals." I said no, the amount doesn't match. She said they couldn't correct the bill. I have never had my nights/taxes not match and there were NO room charges/incidentals! So I was given the general managers card. I'm sure I'll be taking to Visa, as the detail Does Not reflect the same charges. Just thing after thing and they don't seem to really care or try to fix. Just a lot of excuses.

This was a very last minute trip during High Season. The manager Karen Choate & Sales Director Marlo Webb went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute request. The entire staff was also very friendly & attentive. The hotel is across the street from the beach w/ a Cart Shuttle to bring you to & from. It's not that far though & chose to walk, but is available. There is a private beach area for the hotel & walkway down. You can bring your own chairs or are available for rent on the beach.

The condo was well equipped, just needed to bring our clothes, beach towels, toiletries, cleaning necessities for laundry and kitchen, and food. The twin beds in the kids room were comfortable enough, as was the queen in the second bedroom. The master bedroom was beautiful and spacious, but the bed was unbearable. The king bed was hard as a rock. We actually decided to pack up and go home early due to the bed. My husband and I were in pain most of the trip due to the hardness/stiffness of the bed. When I say hard as a rock, I mean this bed did not move. It was like sitting on a wall. I would love to stay in the unit again if the master bedroom was a different bed. I love a firm bed with some softness on top. This could have used a mattress topper and we went to buy one, but the topper we found was $120 and we didn't feel like that was a purchase we should have made. Overall though, this is a great family friendly resort with amazing views.

Positives: great venue, location, amenities (hot tub and grill on the balcony) etc. The cleaning crew is constantly working in the elevators, hallways, and in public spaces which often goes overlooked but we really appreciate it. Areas for improvement: The front desk folks need training. Every time we stopped by it was a new face...some friendly, some not. Mostly they just struggled with answering basic resort questions from us and others inquired. "How do we rent chairs at the beach?" The young lady said, "sorry i don't know." I called to check on how to use the putt putt activity. Another young voice said "you just putt the ball on the grass and hit it." I laughed, "no sorry i need to check out equipment for it right?" She said, "you can look at it first if you want." So I responded, "do you have putters and balls that i can use?" She said, "yes". I responded "how do i do that?" She said "its free to use." I asked "where do i get the equipment?" She said "at the desk". I get to the desk and they tell me "i must leave my driver license to check out equipment." That would have been nice to know before I came down, . I used to manage a community center so i get it. We just laughed it off, but some people won't so heads up!

It only seats around 10,000 but it never feels so crowded that you are like a sardine (though the bench seating can feel cramped at times). The entry and exits are easy to transit through -- security lines have never been more than a few minutes for us. One of our favorite parts of The Wharf Amphitheater is the large acts that come in, while it still feels like a small town concert with a few thousand close friends. We have seen Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Jimmy Buffett, Walker Hayes, Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, Ingrid Andress, Hardy and more. Not to mention a few others that we missed but who have also played here recently: Jelly Roll and Alabama. I have only sat in the 100 or 200 section, as well as stood in the pit. I prefer the Pit (standing room only) or section 100 (foldable chair), but sections 200 and 300 are benches, so they can feel a little cramped at times. We have never sat up in the 300 section, but our friends have said it's still a great view of the entire show. There is not a bad seat in the house (from my experience). You have a great view of the stage, and even from the last row, you're closer to the stage than other venues. The ticket prices fluctuate depending on the act, but from my past concert experience, The Wharf Amphitheater ticket prices are below the norm. While not unexpected, the prices of food and drinks are high and have been increasing. It's expected that prices are going to be high, so my wife and I will normally just grab a large bag of kettle corn (only $11) and one drink which is a pretty good deal for us. Some of the other prices are a bit higher -- but we are willing to pay them if we are looking to add to our experience. I have never seen any rowdiness or security issues that normally come with drinking, fun, and loads of people. It's is overall a very chill venue but a great time to party. Even though parking can be a little difficult to find closer to the start of the concert, anytime my wife and I have arrived at/before the gates opening (usually 5:30), we have been able to find parking less than 100' from one of the gates. Even still, we have never not been able to find a parking spot, though we may have to walk a bit. And leaving is actually a pretty smooth process so matter where you parked or where you are heading. We can get from our seats and back on the main road away from traffic in ~20-30 minutes. Just be sure to check out the parking guide (https://alwharf.com/amphitheater/directions-parking) so you park in the right area for the easiest departure.

On the bright side, the drink lines were incredibly short, though that likely just fueled the chaos around us. This was easily the trashiest event I have ever attended. The heat was brutal for late May, and the venue's setup did nothing to help. The port-a-johns were pitch-black dark inside. On the walk back to our car, we even passed two different people completely passed out in the grass. The absolute breaking point happened during the concert itself. People were constantly smoking right behind us, and we ended up leaving two songs into the finale because the couple directly in front of us was actively about to engage in full-on intercourse right there in the crowd.Save your money and your sanity. If you come here, pay extra for premium seating to get away from the chaos, or just put on a CD and stay at home.
