This review is for Benny in used car sales. I called the dealership and Benny answered the phone. I told him my interest was in a specific car and he went above and beyond in working with me. I live hours away from the dealership and did not want to waste my gas and time driving to Fairfield only to not like the car. Benny took a bunch of photos for me and answered all of my questions. I opted to pass on the car for the simple reason that the interior was cloth and would be a problem for me to keep clean as I have a service dog with me all the time who sheds like crazy. Benny went above and beyond the call of duty and his dealership should be very happy knowing that they have in Benny a representative who puts the interest of potential clients first. I wish the interior would have been leather as it was otherwise perfect for my needs. I cannot speak to the bad experiences others may have had with this dealership, but if you work only with Benny my guess is you will have a superior experience. Dealership closing and they were going to evaluate the possible leak in morning and let me know because they said they could not sell a car to me not knowing if it was leaking. Morning came, I called and they said they were going to do a leak test right now and call me back. They called me and told me they sold the vehicle. HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE TO DO TO SOMEONE. We had to take our new Z06 back to the dealership for the optional clear coating that we purchased when we bought the car last week. We were called TWICE during the week to see how we liked our car and to set up this appointment. Again, we were greeted at the door- everyone remembered our names- then walked back to the service department. Victor was there immediately and handled everything efficiently and effectively. Damien and Daniel, in the Service Department as well- were both friendly and introduced themselves while making sure to get both of our names. The best part is- THERE WAS NO FAVORITISM BECAUSE OF THE COST OF OUR NEW CAR!!! There were many people buying and there for service and EVERYONE was treated like an old friend- with respect, professionalism and genuine sincerity! UPDATE! We purchased our car on 8/22/2019, as of 2/3/2020 I have not received my plates. I called and spoke to the dealership 5 times. I was told that someone would get back to me. No one ever called me back. Then I spoke to a manager and he emailed his business department and that email was never returned. Today I called DMV, apparently the plates were never marked as needed.So now I have to go into DMV and pay the $ to get me plates. Great customer service until you walk out the door after having paid. No longer recommending. I saw a car online and drove straight to this dealership. They were so kind and worked with what I had to spend. We got a voucher for a full tank of gas and my daughter left very happy with her new car. The gentleman were very kind. After 90 minutes of doing paperwork to buy a truck, the manager said he couldn't honor the agreed upon price (which was advertised on the internet) as nobody really meets the criteria for those rebates. He said it was "perfectly legal" to lure people in with rebates that are unobtainable and do the bait and switch. We had a discussion about the difference between legal, moral and ethical. Told me to take it elsewhere because they were too busy to fix it and in the mean time, "put a tarp on it". Yes, "tarp" a $60,000 vehicle. Before going here I had financed a Spark with Team Chevy in Vallejo and the customer service (rude & disrespectful unless you have been with them for years/choose favorites), among other fiasco's I had with them over the year had me starting to lose faith in Chevrolet all together. I went here to do a test drive and Tony unfortunately had to listen to me vent lol. He did not try to force me in any car, or pressure me. I let him know I was just testing cars and would follow up after looking at dealerships. He was very friendly and understanding. After going to a few other places I my experience here stuck with me. Everywhere else I went they wanted me to finance the car 'today' or hurry up and put down the down payment, you should get this car not this car. There was one person I kept forgetting his name, but he sits near Alberto's desk in the corner and quiet. I was outside looking at the car when Tony literally just stepped away to get the key and the gentleman walked up and asked if there was anything I needed and if i was being helped. He had noticed me waiting outside (about 3 car rows from where he was sitting inside the building) I let him know I was being helped and thanked him. Something so simple, but makes a impact that one will always remember (I used to wait at Team Chevy for hours without anyone coming up to me and I would have to find someone) I love that no matter who you speak with when you walk through the door each and every person is ready to assist you. So I have never had an issue with any of the employees or anything in that regard. I went in for a standard mileage milestone check up on my truck. I have wheel locks so they rotated my tires and I thought nothing of it. Fast forward a few months, I have returned to do another milestone check up. I was informed they couldn't rotate my tires because they couldn't find my wheel lock key. Long story short, I am having to purchase new wheel locks because my previous wheel lock key did not make it back into the packaging where I stored it in truck when they rotated my tires previously. You can see on the packaging where someone took a knife to cut out the key instead of opening the package to access it. I think it's pretty bogus I have to purchase another set when I did not lose it. And this is the only location my tires have ever been taken off my truck. read more

The person who created the work order had a difficult time explaining the contents of work order for me... or he just didn't want to. Pretty sure based on his explanations to my questions he just didn't want to. It also took 30 - 45 to check in my truck after making the appointment a week before. DO NOT BUY HERE! They had a 2016 Ford Flex advertised for $15000. I stopped in to check it out, test drove it and everything was fine, until it came down to financing. First off, they raised the price to $18000. I argued and told them the price online was $15000. They said it was a mistake but they'll honor it. I was only going to put $2000 down, but they wanted more, so I put $4000 down. They seemed nice enough, talked about personal stuff, chatted...I experienced a death in the family a couple days earlier and they seemed compassionate. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU! After all is said and done, I Bought a $15000 car, put $4000 cash down and now have a car loan for $22000! My credit score was 760 when they pulled it, so it wasn't due to bad credit. I called the loan company and they said that the dealership applied for $22000. Here I was thinking I was getting a deal, I ended up paying $11000 more than the advertised price. read more

We scheduled an oil change appointment online for 11:30 today Monday the 11th. It was scheduled on Friday the 8th and received an email confirmation on the 9th. We showed up today at 10:45, the service advisor claimed we had no appointment and if they didn't call to confirm with us then the online scheduling was invalid. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Why even have an online option to schedule an appointment? To top it off the service advisor was rude and unprofessional. I'm being stingy with my last star because when I went in, I was prepared to buy, the first salesman tried to play games & I wasn't in the mood, but once the managers got involved... Things went smooth. SO here's the deal... We worked out the price for my new Equinox online & I got my own financing from Up2Drive (they had better apr's than the dealer). So I had two of the three things worked out.... The last was my trade. I had a 2008 honda CRV EXL W/NAVI & it had lots of extras... Towing kit, roof rack, 20" custom wheels & fog lights to name a few... The KBB for good-excilent condition was between 18.5-21k, the car had al lot of miles & some interior scratches (my cats clawed the seat on a X-country drive) otherwise good condition... When I went in I could tell right off the bat that the sales man (Jay) was going to try & play games with me & I cautioned him that I was numbers specific & nothing else mattered... That is, I was prepared to finance 26k, the car was 31K & I wanted the rest from my trade. So yea, I needed 5k above my pay off & I made it very clear... So this guy is doing the "lets go for a test drive" (to which I said, I've already test driven the car, I don't need to do it again (this is what dealers do so they can "inspect" your vehicle while your gone) I told him, I know that you need to inspect it.... Just go... Get at it! Haha but he was all about his game kept pushing me to "try it" dealers do this because they think you'll get hooked & be easier to manipulate (& for some it may work) but for me.. No, because I didn't NEED a new car, I WANTED it. Anyway, it was getting late, I had a long day & I was getting tired so this guy comes out with the "offer" on my trade... He offered 18.5k! I was like... Yea... No thank you & got up to walk out. (I'm not one of these people thats going to haggle what I know my cars worth) & he got very upset... He was like, "let me explain" & I was like no amount of explaining is going to make that number acceptable! I continued to leave... He got very upset that I wouldn't let him finish & after I had left he sent a nasty txt msg. I happened to get the txt msg as I was passing the doors to the main showroom... So this is where the story changes... I go in & I'm like who's in charge here! I get the GM & The night MGR... There both awesome... I tell them what happened, & what I'm looking for & they made it happen w/o any of the games. So I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted and the mgr gave me extra off all service/accessories so I got the roof rack & towing kit. All in all, the I got what I wanted for the price I wanted because I did a lot of the legwork on my own. I knew the difference between the blue book & black book (auction pricing) DON'T LET ANY DEALER QUOTE YOU THE BLACK BOOK, I had my own financing & I wasn't desperate for a new car which gave me wiggle room to simply walk out if the deal wasn't acceptable. The deal is this... I know dealers have a job & they need to get paid for it, I have no problem paying them for their service, but I'm not going to be taken advantage of! So overall I'm happy with my car & the deal I got. & I would suggest that if your going to buy & you don't want to play games go right to the mgrs. read more

Last week I called Fairfield Chevrolet to have a new key cut and programmed. My appointment was today at 1:00 Pm. I arrived early. I asked the service tech about how long this would take. I was told 30 minutes to an hour. At 2:oo Pm I went to the desk and asked what the status of my key fob , I was told the tech working on my truck was at lunch and that my truck was inside. My questions was why did I make an appointment if the person working on my truck would be at lunch. The reply from the tech did not meet my satisfaction. At about 2:50 Pm I rolled out of there with price tag of cutting a key and programming a fob at $ 230.00 I asked to speak to the manager , however I was only offered an email. Which there has been no response. The techs at the front desk did try to explain why this was taking so long. Bottom line it was a very poor customer experience. read more

I found a used car available at their dealership website. I called and spoke with a woman who told me someone would call me back soon to confirm any information and answer any questions I had. She would also email me with any details, including what time slots they had for me and my mom (an hour away) could come look at the car. The next day I called in to ask about coming down to see the car but needed to find the earliest time they had. The person I spoke with was Mike, who is not only the sales manager (his words) but, according to an employee, also owned the Chevy and Subaru dealership. I explained the situation and that my mother would have a long drive to come see the car and potentially buy it. He reassured me I could come in half hour before they opened the next morning and he'd personally take care of us. I then explicitly asked "this may sound like a stupid question but I just need to confirm you still have the car." His response was "yes sir." We get there at 8:30 and Lupida assisted us. She spent 15 minutes looking for keys and eventually after about half an hour passed she was able to confirm that they had sold the car two days ago. While scrambling around she apologized and said she's only worked there for about a week. She was trying to be nice but you could cut the uneasiness with a knife. Note that Mike was no where to be found at 9:06 am, 36 minutes after he said he'd be there to personally assist us. She said he lived in Davis and sometimes had to hurry over. Kind of makes you wonder what she's been told about the owner since she's only worked there about a week. She tried to show us another Mazda that was on the Subaru lot just across the lot. Not surprisingly we overheard someone tell her that one too was already sold. At that point we were disgusted with the entire situation and left. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. My experience with the owner/sales manager tells me everything I need to know, from the top down, about what kind of business this is. EDIT: This is in response to the dealership reply. I have no interest in visiting your dealership ever again. If you want to discuss it, then you may do so here as the point of my post was to provide insight to others. I bought a 2017 Chevy Volt from them on Feb 1st. Francisco "Frank" was my salesperson. He was very friendly and helpful. I had a great experience. Just know that this dealership sells used cars "as is" so make sure you check the car faxes and repair records on the cars first because once you sign, the car is YOURS! I got my car for a great price, which is what brought me to them to begin with. After purchasing my car, they asked if I would leave a review on here and I have to say that once I found them on here I was scared that I made a mistake because their reviews are not great and I did not check them out before I visited this business but I feel I should share that I had a great experience and my car has been great. Terrible Customer Service and Even Worse Salesmanship! Just went in to look at a vehicle and discuss purchasing it after making an appointment to do so a few days in advance. Upon arrival I was "greeted" by a very cold and callous person named Rico. Walking to the car my family and I discussed how weird it was that he was so unprofessionally rude off rip. We came in and sat down to discuss car history and pricing.. the callousness continued as Rico barely said a word in response to our questions and inquiries. His associate Saeyed walks over and is no different. They were both terrible speakers and incredibly rude for no reason. We were going to buy the car as it's what I wanted at a somewhat decent price. Instead I found the same car at dealership in Sac WITH A BETTER PRICE. Dealerships and businesses ran by people like these don't deserve people's hard earned money. Thats my honest opinion after a very uncomfortable and dissatisfied experience. Just thought I'd share this for those out there who care what type of people you give your money to and do business with. And this is just me wanting to buy a car.. can't imagine how bad it is for people that have to deal with these people on a regular basis for maintenance. 2016 car that will not start and has shut off on me during driving. Been bringing it here since the issues were only having trouble getting it started and it making noises. They stated that the car had come up with several codes and they were told to clear them and test drive again to see if they reappear. They stated it was driven again (no time and distance given) and they didn't appear again. Charged me $150 for the diagnostic but still couldn't find the issue!!! It's a 2016 Malibu that takes several attempts to start AND shuts off at stops, but no problems could be found. I'm done bringing it here as they clearly don't want to actually find anything wrong perhaps until any and all warranties are expired in my opinion. Several chances to fix the issues and not once did they actually fix anything. Just cleared codes and test drove it. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I both own Chevy Sonics. We both take (took) our cars to Fairfield Chevrolet for servicing. Each & every time we took our cars in for an oil change, it would take them at minimum, 4 hours to complete. Each time I had to call to check on the status of the car. They definitely lack in communication. Each time we had an oil change, they told us the oil pan was leaking & had to be replaced. Every time? Really? This last time my husband got an oil change, the check engine light came on within a few days. Long story short, he brought the car in to Fairfield to have it checked out. They told him his catalytic converter was bad. (Mind you, his car is a 2014). He went back, after they took a couple of days to run a diagnostic test, for an estimate. $1200 is what they wanted. $600 for the part & $600 for labor. He thought that didn't sound right, so he picked up his car so he can look into this issue elsewhere. My husband was a mechanic in the Army, so he knows how simple replacing a catalytic converter is. It should not cost $600 in labor. Fairfield told us to contact GM directly to ask about helping out with cost, since we are two loyal customers (my husband's last five cars are from Chevrolet). We put in a request with GM on 7/10/17 & still have not heard anything back. I put in a request to speak with Fairfield's manager about our concerns. I told him the above information, in which he replied "I will review your file & get back to you this afternoon" This was on July 10th. I still have yet to hear from a manager regarding my concerns. I decided to contact Shellworth for a second opinion. Only to get 100 times better customer service. Not only did the manager there contact me the same day, he contacted me within the hour. Informed me that the manager was no longer at Fairfield Chevrolet, so my concerns probably got lost. Also, Shellworth informed me that Fairfield should have put in the request for us, instead of having the customer contact GM. The one time we did hear back from GM, they said they haven't been getting any call backs from Fairfield Chevrolet. We decided not to wait any longer & took my husband's car to Shellworth. Guess what? The catalytic converter is just fine. The mechanics there found there were two bolts stripped that was causing the bad reading. They replaced the bolts for us. Now, like I said above, the only place we took our cars for service was Fairfield Chevrolet. Why would they even touch the catalytic converter? Fairfield Chevrolet has lost two loyal customers. My husband commutes for work, so we were in there every 6 - 8 weeks. I will gladly drive to Vacaville for our services from now on. To each potential customer, beware when they say you "need" more work done. Always, always get a second opinion. I guarantee you, they are trying to sell you something you do not need and/or caused the problem in the first place. read more

After speaking to Skylar repeatedly over the phone the last two days we drove up from Hayward to buy the part we needed. Skylar is the only reason I'm giving this place two stars - he was helpful and professional. However, his co-worker was not. When asked to cut a key and print a code she immediately announced that she hadn't taken her break and was about to go on lunch and told us we would have to wait until she returned. Immediately declining to even attempt to offer any customer service or extend any grace to customers in a bind who have traveled over 60 miles to try to resolve the issue of lost car keys. After further discussion it turned out that we had failed to bring the needed paperwork and she was not able to help us for those reasons, to which she seemed all to happy about as she reprimanded us for our mistake. She even started to scold Skyler for not informing us until I defended him and stated that he had told us but we were in a bind. If she had started with a better attitude and simply checked our paperwork before explaining she couldn't help, the interaction would have been more pleasant and professional. But the fact that she seemed determined not to help from the beginning and then relieved when she could fault us, was very off putting and just added to the stress of the situation. Common courtesy and professionalism goes a long way. Customers should not be penalized because workers fail to manage their time and take their breaks in a timely manner. And a simple "wish I could help, but I can't" would have gone a long way this morning. Very unprofessional. read more

Just went in to have my cars first service and oil change appointment and had a great experience. When I checked in I was told the appointment would take over 1hour and a half, when I expressed that I wasn't prepared to wait that long the representative offered me a shuttle, I did not accept it because I needed to go quite far, I was then told that he would try to rush my car in and let me know as soon as they stared working on it. About 5 minutes later he let me know they took my car in and in about 30 minutes my car was ready. I was pleasantly surprised as to how fast the service was and how the clerk followed through with what he said he would do. I was also very happy because I asked for a manager to speak about a past issue and the manager took care of it right away. I was extremely surprised as to how fast he took care of it all! I was asking about hours and trying to get a few details to plan a visit, and he said, "If you're not looking to buy a car today, maybe you should call back when you are." and slammed the phone down! He didn't even try to transfer me to a salesperson! I wanted to get information so that I could come in and know a little bit about the best times and have an idea of what I wanted so I could do some research, but he shut that down quickly. Against my better judgment, I went in anyways... And wow! Rude reception. Slimy sales people. Horrible pricing. Obvious lies. Beware!!!! went in for a check engine light on friday. was told it was the reductant tank temperature sensor. im still under regular warranty but the service writer RAY OJEDA told me it would be 350. just to hook it up to the diagnose machine even after his odb2 sensor allready told him it was the reductant tank temperature sensor? he said that the reductant tank temperature sensor was covered under regular warranty but if they found that it was something else it would not be covered? so because i had a wierd feeling about the whole thing as i do every time ive ever been in the fairfield chevrolet dealership i decided to go to concord. first service guy i talked to said oh yeah thats a known issue that chevy had a class action law suit and extended the warranty to 120,000 miles. he also said hes delt with this issue 12 times him self with different customers. so i decided to look in my file cabinet and sure enough i had a letter i had forgotten about from two years prior from chevrolet stating if you have any issues of this kind bring it in and it will be fixed at no charge. so short story is i dont know how fairfield chevy could not know about an issue that is this big? steer clear of this dealership. sad cant patronize my local dealer ship. another sad thing is upon looking on yelp its bad review after bad review claiming dishonesty and shady crap. cmon fairfield chevy get your shit together or get out of fairfield. read more

Went down to fairfield chevrolet and was treated as if this was the first car I have ever bought. I was looking at a 2ss Camaro and there was body damage from end to end complete with a broken window. Price was firm at 23k with all damage included. Salesman would not let me test drive vehicle as well. Windows were tinted illegally on top of everything. I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER. Pick anywhere else.
