One unique treat they offer is chocolate baklava, something I hadn't seen before! Their fries are crispy and on point, and the wraps are packed with a generous amount of meat. The space seems bigger than they are equipped to handle since there are not as many tables. The people there were helpful and friendly. You can order at the kiosk or with the cashier so we opted with the cashier. We had the mango lasse and chicken kabob plate. The kabob plate had enough to feed both of us. The chicken was about average in terms of flavor and tenderness. The rice was the standout. It was full of flavor, maybe from the chicken on top. Having warm pitas was nice too. The price was a little high but the portion was reasonable. Mango lasse was a disappointment, small and didn't seem particularly fresh to us. This is not close to us and we wouldn't go out of our way to visit again unless we were in the hood. Still, pretty solid, and while we were there they had a steady trickle of people. read more

Fully halal menu which is great for those with dietary restrictions! My table ordered 3 things, Philly gyro wrap, Texas burger, and kids nuggets and fries. I think the burgers are much better than the wraps. The burgers have a toasted bun that gives it a good crunch. The gyro philly was good but I felt like it was lacking a lot of onion and bell pepper. There were many bites that were just gyro alone. The nuggets and fries are pretty basic and good for kids. I plan to try a few alternatives when I go back, likely a burger, perhaps a quesadilla, and maybe another side. They do have several Afghan platters that seem like they would be good but I think I would mainly go here for the burgers. Driving home from Santa Cruz back to Alameda we needed to stop somewhere to eat. Yelp! To the rescue. This place should be busy every day. It's a confirmed halal place and is set on the one way stretch of Mission. There is a few picnic tables outside and plenty of seating inside. They had some music playing and plenty of open tables to choose from. We ordered from the guy at the counter, he was very nice, but there are also kiosks you can use too. I got the chicken kabob entree. It comes over rice with salad, hummus, pita bread and some delicious sauces that I don't know what they're called. The green one was amazing! Slight spice but big on spices. Delicious. The chicken was the best part. It took about 20 minutes to make, but worth the wait. Tender and steaming hot, the chicken was full of flavors and spices. Perfect with the rice and hummus. I didn't want the plate to end. I tasted the lamb from my boyfriends wrap, tender and also full of flavor. I don't like lamb much but thought it tasted good. The yogurt sauce was also bomb. I mixed it with everything. We also tried a couple of the baklava. Very sweet, the chocolate one was good. Pistachio was the only flavor option and my boyfriend doesn't eat nuts. So he ate the top half of it and I ate the bottom part with the nuts on it. It was still delicious. They give you a number and you wait at the table. Then they bring the food to you. The food arrived steaming and fresh. I am rarely in this area and may never make it back. But this place left and impression. Every thing on my plate was delicious. Even my boyfriends fries were perfect. So good, we talked about it on the rest of our way home. 10/10 ! read more

Used Yelp to find a place to eat while visiting my daughter who has just moved to Hayward. The menu looked good so we decided to give it a try. Our food was delicious! We ordered 2 wraps, one falafel and the other chicken. The falafel and chicken each were moist and flavorful. The pickled veggies and sauce were tasty. The bread wrap was light, airy and fresh. The service was good and welcoming, but man the food disappoints. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but maybe I should have just got the falafel instead. The lamb kebab plate was 25$ after tax and for 25$ you get a plate of rice, 4 pieces of lamb kebab, some plain salad, naan, a cup of tzatziki, and a cup of harissa. For 25$, the plate does not excel in taste or quantity, You get only 4 pieces of lamb kebab when past images show that there were more. In addition, the lamb doesn't even taste fresh or like lamb. It is cooked dry and you could basically just substitute steak and it'd be the same. Do yourself a favor and get something else on the menu because this item is neither worth it for taste or quantity. Flavor is extremely bland. read more

I have really loved their bacon burger when they were falafel flame and even as falafel flare. The patty is just perfect and the sauce they have is yummy. It's that juicy burger you see on ads and crave. That said my husband and I ordered a burger and side on onion rings to share and were supremely disappointed to see only 6 onion rings. We paid about $1 per onion ring....I feel pretty cheated. I know we are all fighting the inflation but I think at least 8 would have been more appropriate. Got takeout from here and loved it! There's a small parking lot next to it which is really convenient for downtown Hayward and the guy working at the counter was super friendly and nice. Very nice big inside. Very clean. The guy who greeted me helped me on what i should order since I was very indecisive. I ordered the jumbo Gyro i believe that's the name. It was a mix of gyro beef / lamb and also chicken. It was amazing together and i honestly might go back today before I leave Hayward to try it again. That's how good it was. I also tried the ice cream in the freezer it was so good. Since trying this I'm really going to be open to trying other places as well to get different foods. I ordered some combination falafel plate that had lamb and it was absolutely outstanding. There was some sauce similar looking to chimichurri that came with my order. I don't know what black magic was in it, but I loved it. Would recommend. On food the food quality alone, easy, five stars. Service was also very friendly when I was there. The food is made to order, so give yourself some time. There's a kiosk to order from, as well as a counter. The man at the register is a nice guy, friendly, and helpful. He doesn't mind answering your questions. Mind you, the menu doesn't have descriptions, so ask away. I've been here 3 times. The last 2 were within the last week. I'm in love with the Flame burger- 2 burger patties, an egg, Swiss and American cheese, mayo, thousand island, lettuce, tomato and red onion. The hamburger patties are generously seasoned and all the flavors come together so well. Don't worry, it's not overly sauced. AND they toast the buns. This has become my new favorite burger. The curly fries are crispy and highly recommended. Buffalo wings are standard. The baklava was an absolute delight. Hummus is great, too. The lamb plate was pretty decent. Very satisfying and filling too!!! The Gyro wrap, was also so good. The pita bread with meat and lettuce was so flavorful and my wife described it as "delicious and hefty" Lastly we also got a Baba ganosh, which we didn't get to take a picture of because we were too eager to dig in. I'm a fan! I saw this place pop up when Yelp was mentioning some local places and since this place is near by, why not stop by?! Thankfully theres parking on the side of the building. Parking anywhere downtown of any city is difficult and just annoying. I have to note that we came around 8PM and they close at 9PM. We are glad choosing something on the menu wasn't too hard and we were able to decide everything and pay by 8:15PM. We also decided to get it to go. Menu can be viewed on the monitor and you can order on the kiosk tablet. The tablet has photos of the food if you dont know what the food looks like or curious what it comes with. Yes, this place is bit more pricy but sometimes the price can be justified if the food and service is there. My husband and I each got a plate; Gyro platter, beef/chicken combo kebab. If you order the kebab, this takes a bit longer to cook so expect about 20mins wait. The gyro platter is very good. The rice and salad are seasoned just right. The hummus is creamy with good flavor. Pita bread was warm and fluffy. I wasn't a big fan of the kebab flavor but my husband loved it. Overall it is pricier than food chains or other places you get gyros but the flavor is just right and I don't mind paying a bit more for amazing food. Definitely will come back! read more

Came to check this place out on a Friday night. It was pretty dead. Yowza! The prices are so high! There were tissue boxes at all the tables... no napkins. My sis and I shared onion rings, baba ganosh, chicken platter & beef gyro. After tipping, came out to about $60. The cashier mentioned if I checked in on Yelp, I'd get a free dessert (baklava).
