I want to start by saying, I really wish Yelp would allow a video review version, so I could visually show you when my mind exploded after eating Falafel Flame. I'm getting ahead of myself here so lets go back to the start. My daughter had an itch for falafel and I was all for it; falafel being one of my favorite snacks. Checked DoorDash and BAM! Falafel Flame delivers! Ordered a falafel plate, Greek salad, bbq wings and 3 baklava. I love a good falafel stemming from my days working at the authentic Middle Eastern restaurant in L.A., Carousel Kitchen. Our chef at Carousel made THE BEST falafel. I was really looking forward to trying falafel from this place and see what they were all about. I have to say, the falafel seemed like it needed something, maybe garlic, maybe seasoning, but they were bright and herbaceous, which we loved. The rice it was served with was delicious and well seasoned. The hummus with was a super star. Probably one of the best I've had (and I've had my share), loved everything about it. The Greek salad was a hit! Perfectly dressed salad with tons of olives and I absolutely loved the dressing. Portions were large enough for my daughter and I to share both the falafel platter and the salad. My son said the wings could have used a little more sauce but still, good stuff! Now here comes the home run... the baklava. Literally made me scream with joy! Had a recorded my reaction, you would know... it was absolutely epic! Now mind you, initially I thought we had only received 2 of the 3 ordered so I called FF, thinking maybe it fell out in the delivery drivers car. He reassured me he put the 3 in himself and when I looked again, like magic, there were all 3! My daughter and I toasted before the first bite and it was just an absolute explosion of deliciousness. I mean BRAVO! We love a good baklava and I have to say, this has been the best! I almost felt like it had a little marzapan in the mix or something; either way, absolutely topped my whole meal. We were instantly greated as we walked in the door and treated with hospitality; we felt right at home! The restaurant is clean and well organized as well as the restrooms. The owner Sam was helpful, friendly and patient with what to order and helped us by recommending his popular dishes. Sam is down to earth and he doesn't make you feel rushed when you're deciding on what to order. As we waited for our meal, we noticed Door Dash and Uber Eats drivers coming in non stop to pick food that was called in to be delivered. We knew this place must be good! You can't go wrong with any of the gyros, falafels, lamb/beef plates or their huge & juicy burgers. The hummus and baba ghanoush was so fresh and the pita bread was nice and warm. Four stars untill I can come back and try more items to give more stars Came here for a few reasons. One it was ranked very high for kabobs in the San Joaquin magazine for the best of restaurants. Two, it's all over tracy rant and raves page. Three the Mexican restaurant we were thinking of that night was way to busy. The mad mash burger! you have to try it with everything on it. Delicious. Hubby said it left him full for the rest of the night too. I did the beef and chicken kabobs! delicious to the very last bite. Hubby wanted to try some of the rice, but I never gave him a chance to get any. That's how good I felt it was. Don't forget to get a bottle of their imported drinks (I forget what they are called) they have all the flavors and it's non alcoholic too. The staff is great kind friendly. I called this location to place an order 10 minutes before they closed (I know, I know-- I was one of ~those~ customers) the other night because I had a hectic evening full of chores. I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to answer but they did. They told me not to rush and that they'd have my order ready shortly. The gentleman at the register was super nice and the falafel wrap was SO GOOD!!! The spicy sauce and white sauce with it paired perfectly and the food hit the spot. BEST BURGER IN TRACY! The meat, the addicting sauce and the toasted bun make this place now my favorite burger joint. The burger is halal which is a process in which they drain the blood from the meat. I personally think it enhances the meat makes it taste flavorful. The burger is very tasty and goes well with the sauce (sweet and has a lil spice) and comes on a pan toasted bun. The fries are standard and you can get curly fries if you want. Low key wish they had crinkle fries or wedges so I can use it to scoop the drippings from the burger! Eating the burger is messy by the way which I normally don't like but the burger is good so it justifies it. Wow! I'm so happy we came to Tracy today- I think this is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant now! The three best things about this place in my opinion are: hospitality, plating, and flavor. The cashier (possibly owner) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I felt like a valued customer right when I walked in! The service was fast, and the staff anticipated our needs.
