This place is so so good! I got the falafel wrap and it was super flavorful and the fix ins were perfect. They have so many different menu options too that I want to try. To be honest, since giving up meat I didn't really think Greek food was an option because I wasn't sure if I'd like falafel, but trying it here was the best decision because it is amazing! I can't wait to go back and super excited we live nearby because there are not a lot of Greek food options here :) read more

When I say this is the BEST gyro in Tracy it's not even close. Every time I bring someone here I always know they're gonna love it. One of the only places I eat where afterwards I ALWAYS feel great and not sluggish. Last but not least , the owner Sam is such a kind soul. Every time I come he makes me feel like family, and he remembers my order. Not only is the food amazing but these are great people and I love supporting good people. The food was amazing!!! I had the combo kebab plate with chicken and beef. I was so hungry when the food came I forgot to take a photo. I wish I did because the food presentation looked delicious and the flavors matched. The service was very warm and welcoming and treated our party to baklava stating it as a gesture for being their special guests. Lovely meal and will gladly return to try their gyro wraps. read more

Tracy has been consistently coming through with some great Mediterranean spots! I came in with the intention of getting a salad... walked out with dolma and a gyro platter instead. Dolma are my favorite appetizer, and Falafel Flame did not disappoint. I'm not sure what seasoning it was topped with, but it was a perfect start to the meal. The gyro plate came with a generous portion of meat, seasoned differently than any gyro I've had before. I really enjoyed it! There's never enough tzatziki in the world. :-D It goes with everything. I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but service was friendly and personable. And to top it off, after I had ordered, my eyes caught the case of Turkish delights. I believe the one he had me try was coconut? So delicious! Can't wait to try the others. You could fill up on just one of these alone. I will for sure be back. read more

Got the food from here many times. Mostly vegetarian. Falafel plate is our go to dish. The rice is rich in flavor, tasty falafels and delicious hummus. The food is served quickly and is always hot and fresh. Usually order a side of hummus which comes with a pita bread and that's good for 2 ppl. However, today was a big miss. Ordered baba ganoush today and that turned out to be a big mistake. It was horrible. The falafels weren't cooked properly as well. Hoping was today is just an off day. read more

This is the original Mediterranean-American fusion franchise that started it all, contrary to popular belief. The name change is quite complicated but it's safe to say that falafel flame is the actual east bay OG spot. In fact, I had been going to the original location in Fremont since 2010. Now that I've moved away from the bay, my friends and I decided Tracy was a good midpoint. Also a hand slaughter halal only guy, I knew I could comfortably navigate the menu without having to limit myself to vegetarian and lamb options. Sameullah, the manager, is a legend. He was extremely hospitable and welcoming and truly made my non halal going friends feel at home (thank you for the complimentary baqlawa!) My friends were all impressed at the quality and flavor of the food and they dont even have hand slaughter halal goggles! one friend was on keto (hence the salad), and he didn't feel like he was missing out given the flavor of the chicken! What can i say about flavorful juicy Mediterranean/afghan spiced gyro and kabab meat and the badmaash burger (not pictured)? It will always be solid and amazing to anyone with a working set of taste buds. This menu and owner is too established for my taste bud preferences to mean anything in this review so you'll just have to go. If you like kababs, gyros, burgers, and a few additional quirky menu items like quesadillas, youre going to love it. If you don't love it, sameullah will make sure you love it. Tried this place on a Monday evening around 7:30pm. Service was welcoming, polite, and kind. We learned the different ways to say gryo (since we were curious and wanted to know how to pronounce it). We tried a few different dishes: chicken shawarma (wrap), gyros wrap, flame burger, and a mango lassi. The wraps came with two sauces on the side. One is a white thick yogurt consistency and the other is a spicy red sauce. Together, the sauces made the wraps taste phenomenal! We tasted each meat separately, before we ate it with the sauce and each was very good! The chicken tasted like it was fresh off the grill. The gyro was soft and easy to chew. My partner absolutely loved the flame burger. It was very juicy and flavorful. He was especially appreciative that the bun was not soggy. The mango lassi tasted of fresh fruit and just slightly sweetened, just the way our taste buds like it. We also tried their baklava dessert. It was delishiously flaky on the top and sweetly flavorful and soft on the inside. It had green pistachio nut crumbs on top. We loved this place and would definitely come back again! read more

I'd give Falafel Flame 3.5 stars at least. I ordered a gyro and fries, dolma and calamari. Don't get the calamari unless you're really really hungry. After a couple of bites, I questioned what was I eating? It didn't look like the picture, at all, and I was surprised that it was delivered with barbecue sauce (strangely ok). Dolma was ok. On the outside it looked fresh, but tasted a day old. The gyro was decent. Milano's pizza's gyro maybe about the same or better. But, Yaffas is still #1 by far. I wanted to like this place, based on the ratings, but maybe the dine-in is better. read more

Went to the Great Greek and found hair in my food. Found this local spot on Yelp while searching for new food I haven't tried in Tracy and let me tell you-- 10/10 experience. We walked in and were greeted with excitement! We were cluelessly looking at the menu trying to figure out what to order and we informed the man behind the counter we were new here. Immediately he welcomed us with delicious Baklava! My friends and I were on the way to Long barn for trip at the cabin, and we stopped here on the way and we're mind blown with how good the food was! I got the gyro wrap & it was honestly amazing. It was a good portion. It was so flavorful - the sauce in it was great! I also got a side of falafels and they were soo good! My friends got the gyro platted, falafel salad, and the badmaash burger. So the wife wanted to have a whack at this place. So she sent me on a food run to have a lunch date. This place was tucked in a shopping Strip. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. Very nice gentleman. I glanced over the menu. One thing I immediately noticed was the pricing. Ouch! I felt like I needed to take out a loan. For a chicken kabob plate was a whopping $14.99. To me that's pretty steep. My plate was a gyro plate at whopping price of $12.99. I'm here so I am committed. The wait was a bit. I ordered my food and a few minutes later two customers walked in and ordered. They got there food before I did. Can you say weird? So the food finally came out. The gentleman made sure to pack all the necessities. Time to dig in. At first I was thrown back by the orange sauce drizzled over my meat. At first I wasn't happy but then after my first bite, I surely was happy. That sauce was delicious. The pita bread was to die for. As for the rice and hummus, definitely on point. The wife liked her plate but the protein ratio was way off. For what I paid, I expected more chicken kabob. Definitely skimped on the chicken. Look for yourself. This place is absolutely amazing, ever since we found out about this we come here most of the time when we are really hungry and get good food that we definitely enjoy and not get tired off, come from Livermore for this place thats how good it is, honestly the amount of food there is its affordable. The service is amazing and excellent the food is the most important part of this and its amazing and delicious, my favorite dish I always get and honestly never get tired of is the Flame Burger very delicious. The owner of the store knows us now and makes sure we have a great experience and enjoy our stay and food. Looks like it took over the old Harry's Hofbrau space except they turned that massive space into 2 units now, as the days of massive dining halls are starting to become a rarity. Order at a counter and food gets brought to your table. There's a full bar (which I thought was strange for this type of food) but this is also Livermore where it still tends to have a stronger drinking culture than most other suburban towns. Most of the seating is in their 'outdoor' patio which is pretty well enclosed with one of those catering tents. Babaghanoush ($8/2.5*) Looked great with warm pita and an olive oil drizzle on top. Texture was spot on creamy and soft but they overloaded this usually delicate dip/mezze with enough raw garlic to kill a horse. Now I usually love garlic but this was to the point where you couldn't taste anything else so main ingredient which is roasted eggplant, you couldn't even tell what it was. And your mouth was tingling with that harsh garlic taste for minutes after chewing it down. Instead of wasting it, I packed it home and used it like Toum to spread onto other things. I've actually had Toums less potent than this. Adana Kabob ($19/4.5*) This a ground lamb kabob Turkish style. Similar to a Lule, Koobideh, Shami kabobs from other cultures. Turkish has pretty bold spicing but not as strong as Afghan or Pakistani. And definitely more assertive than Persian or Armenian. So kind of in the middle of the spectrum. I loved the texture and the flavor, just maybe a tad ambitious on the charring. Now that char did add an awesome grill flavor but a couple degrees more than burnt qualities may then be perceived. Combo Beef/Lamb Kabob $20/4*) For combos you can actually pick from several kabobs. They use smaller chunks like half inch cubes small. It is very natural tasting, no heavy marinades or spicing. Tasted like just salt to me so you can really taste the protein. But very well done but not really dry. I just prefer larger chunks like at least 1 inch cubes, so the meat stays juicy and succulent. Afghan and Persian kabobs usually have bigger pieces on those skewers. And these plates have a side of salted plain rice (not basmati) a green salad, some pita and a nice dollop of hummus which was top notch. It's small place and 2 big dining tables on each side for people who want to dine in there.I believe most people order online here for To go.
