The hummus is radically fresh. Chicken Kebab pita is seriously one tasty morsel. The gyro meat is dry tho. The dude who works here with a bald head looks mad at you until you give him money. Grape leaves look aight. read more

I stopped in here after a day at Brookdale Park for something light for dinner. I just went with the falafel sandwich which was good but not as good as Mamouns. Service was great and the sandwich was filling, but not a fan of all of the red cabbage lettuce inside. Would have been better with more tomatoes and cucumbers. They do give you more falafel for your money though. read more

This was my first time here so I wanted to sample a variety of things. I ordered a platter with chicken shawarma, beef kofta, rice, and salad. I also ordered a side of hummus which came with pita. There was a nice amount of food and you certainly won't leave hungry. However neither the chicken or beef was anything special. They were both a tad bland for my taste and could have been used a better spice blend. The highlight of this meal was the hummus. Absolutely terrific, some of the best I've ever had. Creamy, decadent mixed with just the right amount of olive oil. I tried to mix the hummus in with my chicken, beef, rice, salad but it wasn't doing the trick. I think next time I would order a pita with the chicken and hummus already mixed together inside, this will enhance the flavor of the meat and create a better (and less expensive) meal. All of this food plus a bottle of water came to a little over $20. Not terrible but a tad pricy. I will certainly be going back for the chicken shawarma pita ASAP. read more

Okay to start i was so woo hoo about this lil hidden treasure. The Falafel's are on point most of the time. Last month id experienced an unpleasantness with the staff(ponytail dude). They were closing and i guess instead of making a pleasnt falafel like usual i got hacked leftovers drowned in seasame oil sauce. There was atleast a cup off sauce pouring out the bottom. This place is pretty good and cheap. While not gourmet, the food seems decent and the prices are good. It is always relatively fresh. As another reviewer pointed out it is not the cleanest place in town. But I have never had any problems with the food here. I'm a vegetarian and like stopping in here for a falafel or hummus sandwich once and a while. read more

In my opinion this is the perfect falafel. Hand down the best I've ever had. There is falafel in every bite and they are not skimpy with it at all. They add just enough vegetables for the perfect crunch. The hummus appwtizer is also really good and goes down super smoothly. I go here occasionally and really like the chicken shawarma and my husband says falafel is good. The only thing is my food is sometimes a little on the warm or cold side even if I order right there. This place is consistently great! Been eating here since they opened years ago and I've never had a bad experience. This is my standard go-to place for falafel sandwiches, but their other menu items are great too. Love the labne appetizer and sometimes I like to get a container of their hummus to go because I find it to be far superior to anything you can find in stores. They definitely have some of the best falafel, hummus and kabobs in jersey. Been coming here for years. Pretty consistent in quality, and very tasty. Food is always bursting with flavor, but sometimes items have way too much onion in them (the tabouli and sandwiches) even though i absolutely love onions. The people in charge are very nice, now the people running the register and taking orders thats a different story. Sometimes they are friendly and helpful and at times they can be rude or act as if you are bothering them when you place an order. Also the place is cramped, theres only a handful of tables, and ambience is not that welcoming, so i'd rather do take out. read more

I went there for lunch today and couldn't wait to get a falafel. Unfortunately after my experience I will not be returning. The lady behind the counter had gloves on that took my order. She then proceeded to text on her phone with the gloves still on and then made my sandwhich. Even worse, when I went to pay, she touched the money with the same gloves on!!! A quaint little place. Sort of resembles a deli, or small pizzeria. There are small tables you can eat at. The food is great. I'm no expert on this cuisne, but I thought the felafel was delicious. I've had the felafel wrap and the felafel pita. The babaganoush was also very good. The hummus was good as well, though not as good as the babaganoush. I love to get take out from here. read more

My coworkers and I will eat here for lunch sometimes. The owner is super friendly and the place is inviting. We always call in our order since we have a limited amount of time available and the food is always ready when we arrive. There is ample street parking which is a plus. I usually go with the super hut specials...the "zoom zoom" is a good mix of meat. The "for pete's sake" is delicious if you like gyro (I do!). I'm not a huge fan of the lamb kebabs--personal preference. The platter comes with rice or fries, and salad. It's a good sized portion and I usually have leftovers. Unfortunately, once reheated, the leftovers aren't very appetizing. Eat what you can while you are there! It's good stuff! read more

My husband and I love this place !! We especially enjoy the falafels and gyros. We don't live close, but always head there for a low key, enjoyable night with great food !! Food is always fresh. Great for ordering for medium-sized groups (kebab trays, large salads, etc.).
