Never a Disappointment. Thus far with my 40 plus years living in Chicago this is my number 2 pizza place in the city.

The best pizza. We order at work for special events. Always fresh and on time. Pleasant staff and pretty reasonable prices.

One of the things I miss most about Chicago. Hands down my favorite pizza. Born and raised in the area (closer to Midway) this pizza holds great memories for me. It worried me that the taste of this pie was based completely on my childhood experience rather then on its own merit. Happily I've found that the pizza is even better then I recall. Its thin but not in a floppy NY Pizza kind of way. The sausage, home made has a great fennel flavor that complements the sweet sauce. The crust, for me the best ,part has a beautifully buttery flavor. I was told this was partly due to the Chicago water used in making the dough. I'm so serious about this pizza that I will order 2 or 3 to take back to Los Angeles after a visit to the city. Now, I will grant you that this place is a bit of a mess in the ambiance department. For some reason it is always over the top loud. If its not kids and families its the tv's by the bar. Not the cozy spot they used to have across the street. Does anyone remember when they were across the street? In the crazy cabin like place? It burned down 10 years ago (give or take)... So, Falco's! Number one in my book. read more

I was a loyal customer for a long time but lately they have been getting sloppy with their pizzas. What I mean is I always order sausage, spinach, garlic and tomatoes last two pizzas the garlic smell funny tasted funny like sardines, so that's enough for me to know that I will not order Falcos Pizza anymore. read more

Pizza is good but staff made me drop down to two stars. I've gotten into multiple disputes with the staff about wrong orders, wrong pricing, just a mess. Hire better employees. read more

I would have love to have given this place 3 stars because I love their pizza. But unfortunately their customer service fell short for me this time around. I called to place an order for my pizza at 6:08 and didn't get it until 7:58. 2 hours for a pizza is ridiculous. I called twice to see where my pizza was and the person taking my order said she would call her driver to check his location and call me back she never did. Lastly the driver got to my house and I asked if the pizza was still warm and he said you saw the steam coming out of the pizza right? RUDE.... You're messing up Falco's.... read more

I've been back multiple times and think their pizza is ok. I think they do have a pretty good steak sandwich. Sometimes the onion rings are good too! Cheap beers and laid back atmosphere. Can get crowded at times. Service can be a bit slow, but they are usually nice. read more

Food: 4.0 My brother and I visited Chicago for the Lakefront Ultramarathon and decided to try Falco's based on reviews. My brother ordered Chicago-style supreme pizza, and I ordered two spaghetti dinners (as I was running the next day). The food was EXCELLENT and portion sizes could feed a family of 4 easily. My brother only finished 3 slices of a small pizza, and I couldn't even finish one of my spaghetti dinners. The spaghetti was well above average, came with delicious meatballs, and was accompanied by bread and a salad. 4 stars for the food was earned and is all that saved this review. Atmosphere: N/A (We did carry-out, so atmosphere was taken out of the factoring of overall review.) Cost: 3.5 While picking up and discovering the charge was $51 and change, I honestly thought cost would get a low review. However, as discussed above, the portion sizes definitely helped justify the cost (somewhat). Timeliness: 1.0 We called at 5:45pm to order, were told to pick up at 6:30pm. We showed up at 6:25 and didn't end up getting our food until 7:00pm. Timeliness killed the review, and I probably would not give Falco's another shot based solely on the timeliness. Service: 2.0 Service was very disappointing. They had 1 teenage girl working in carry-out, which was extremely disorderly and chaotic. There was no organized line or distinction between who was waiting on food/still trying to check-in and pay. Almost everybody that came to pick up their food was told, "It should only be a couple of minutes," only to wait another 15-20 minutes. While I felt bed for the girl, as they were clearly understaffed, the service was not acceptable. She was relatively friendly and was doing her best to operate well under pressure... unfortunately there was no personal touch and saying "A couple of minutes" was just to keep people around. Worth noting: When we finally got our food, I was told the wait was due to the fact that the pizza takes 50 minutes to cook. I wonder why we were advised of a 45 minute pick-up then? read more

Wow First time eating here and by far the worst. Had my food delivered. First of all the delivery driver smelled like he was smoking weed straight out of his car when I went to get it from him. $30 for a 12" Sausage and an order of Cheese fries. With a $5 tip. My husband and I ordered an 16" pepperoni and it was super greasy. I can't even explain how the cheese was, it was like it was curdled or old. When we went to grab a slice, it was a big cheese square that would fall off. I love cheese, but that was disgusting and really thick! The only good thing about the pizza was the crust. I tried this pizza for the first time, and this had a good impression for my first. The service was good. The staff were friendly to me when I came. They also were quick on the food. They say you always love your first and they are so right! Falco's was the pizza of choice growing up on the rare occasion my parents ordered in. A couple of decades later, now that I order my own pizzas, if I am on the south-side, Falco's is my pizza of choice. Their thin crust is spot on. The sauce isn't weak and the cheese and ingredients are Plentiful! I've never had an issue calling my orders in - but they have Online Ordering for people who don't want to talk to people!! Maybe, for delivery. If you have abandoned all options. The pizza at its best tastes like most Chicago Pizzas. Heavy, salty, greasy, and a cardboardy crust. Many people are fine eating this kind of pie, who am I to rant about tradition. I will concentrate on service. Should I blame the waitress? Should I blame the manager for hiring the waitress? Possibly the parents are at fault? CPS, did they play a role in the lack of communication skills? Blame is a waste of my energy. This place has a cancer in it, the Fox's are running the hen-house, no one cares, unless you are their friends, then you can hang at the bar while the customers drinks are dry, while they have no napkins, or no pepper flakes. SO UPSET! im a veggie lover, and a few friends of mine like them, but not as much as i do. so we agreed on JUST spinach and pepperoni. when the pizza arrives its filled with ONIONS and spinach, very little pepperoni. so i called them, spoke to the MANAGER and he told me thats how they make the spinach. they make it with onion! The pizza is out of this world! I've had it since forever, and it never disappoints. The pizza bread, french fries and gravy bread also rock! It's not bad if you're picking it up, but delivery takes forever! The delivery guys are nice and friendly, so that's a plus. But for the love of God, do NOT dine in. It's ghetto-fabulous, that's for sure! The service is crap, and the place is a dark, nasty-looking hole in the wall. I think it was trying to go for edgy, urbane and hip, but it failed miserably on all counts. And the neighborhood doesn't feel safe at night. I don't know if Rocky still owns the place. I saw someone mention the old manager lady a few reviews down, and she's been a fixture in that place for decades (if it's the woman I'm thinking of). Never had food from this place but my boyfriend wanted it so he's had it. Ordered around 7 to 8 pm for delivery. They were really nice to deliver to us considering we lived a little over 6 miles out. Got to the house in about an hour. I asked for a spaghetti, but the lady who took the order didn't hear, I guess. So all we got was the pizza. Not a huge deal, we weren't charged for it. Pizza was pretty good. We got their special which is sausage, mushroom, onion, and green pepper. They're very generous on the green pepper. Yesterday my family and I ordered a 16 inch half sausage half pepperoni, extra sauce and well done pizza along with a 12 piece hot chicken wing which came with fries. Since the order was over 30 bucks (before taxes) we got a free 6 pack of soda. The total was 37.50. Great service the pizza got here in about 45 minutes and was nice and hot! My family eats home runn in pizza allot and the story is that falcos and home runn in were co owners at one point and then separated. We could taste the similarity in both pizzas. It's good. I've ordered this mess countless times. I love it. It's good. It's got a similar taste to Home Run Inn pizza, but it's a bit better. They ease up on the fennel seeds, so it taste better. I sometimes ordered the slices and they are pretty huge, but it's not as good as the large pie. Burgers, fries, chicken sandwich are good in comparison to the other mess in the area. Anyway, I've eaten in the dinning room once, damn it's gloomy Delivery is on point, but the service in general is no bullshit. They must be saving that charming stuff for dignitaries. I have only dined here once but I get take-out from here quite often. It is always pizza, pizza, pizza.. I once had a Falco's salad in a vain attempt to try to be healthy and it was pretty damn good but it still wasn't a pizza. If you go anywhere in Chicago you are bound to find a place for pizza. The options in this great city are numerous. There are many winners out there and there are unfortunately many losers also. I had to think good and hard before I wrote this review in order to validate the statement that I am about to make: Falco's pizza has my favorite thin crust pizza in Chicago! That is a rather bold statement with the stiff competition that it faces. Why is this my favorite thin-crust pizza you are asking? They use high quality ingredients and they load each pizza up with them. There has never been a skimpy pizza since I have been eating here. The crust is a good thickness. It supports the loaded toppings perfectly without being too thick and doughy. The sauce is just the way I like it with just a slight sweetness to it. The competition in the Chicago Pizza biz is stiff. I've been working somewhat nearby so I thought I'd order some takeout pizza for some coworkers. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. It took less time to finish than what was quoted. The restaurant itself is a tiny little hole in the wall. Nothing fancy here, I would not ever dine in. A couple of tables in a run down looking place. The kitchen did appear clean to me and there were decent reviews from locals on Yelp. The pizza was pretty tasty, everyone seemed to enjoy it. The crust was buttery and crisp, the cheese was melty, and the toppings were a meaty salty deliciousness. My family have been fans of Falco's Pizza since pretty much the beginning. Anyone who complains, they really don't understand this place. They are very busy ALL the time and you get South Side customer service, which part of their charm. You learn to be patient because it is ALWAYS worth the wait. It's a South Side goldmine. I love their thin crust, which is the best pizza by far. They are known for their unique crust, sauce, cheese, and sausage. Have leftovers? Reheating their pizza is definitely an option, usually slices from other places are cardboardy and rubber tasting. The crust and cheese will reheat to their original gooey form. I've won people over just from that fact. Always remember to use their coupons, especially for delivery. Parbaked pizzas are an option for those who live in the suburbs, which my family definitely takes advantage of. One hour is the standard wait for delivery because their pizzas take longer to cook and prepare than others. If you do carryout, give yourself an extra 10 mintues after pickup time....they don't normally have someone working the counter to organize orders. Pay cash if you can....when you pay by credit card, you wouldn't believe the people that do not tip their drivers or any other hard working delivery people. Hands down, the best delivery pizza on the South Side! PLUS- they save your address info, so it's not 20 questions every freaking time you call. They know what I want and they know where I live. Going to the actual restaurant varies-it's nice and quiet in the afternoon, with colorful locals drinking pitchers of beer as they look out the window onto Archer (that sounds good right about now). Going on a Friday night they hire a very loud DJ, which is fun for the family but not so good for conversation. Happy this place is close by!! read more

This is a reliable neighborhood place. We've dined-in, carried out, and gotten delivery from here. It's not bad. As I've mentioned in another review, when we get delivery, we alternate between Lina's and Falco's as they are about equi-distant from where we live. I tried doing carry-out from here, but learned that its not worth the drive and I waited longer than I should have. Delivery is reliable, and it is the kind of place where you're better off getting delivery from anyhow. I mean, the dining room is not bad, but it is pretty characterless. There is one waitress, who is nice, but service is not always as speedy as it could be. There are often noisy kids, overhead TVs in every corner, and patrons at the bar who hog the waitress's attention. On the other hand: decent pizza; inexpensive pitchers of beer; passable sit-down place where you won't be inundated with "service" that's laid on too thick (like Connie's). If you want a quiet, "regular" meal that you can eat and be left alone, this is the place. Can't vouch for much besides the pizza, although I think I remember getting a salad that seeemd to be made of lettuce plus pizza topping ingredients--green peppers, black olives, mushrooms, onions, surrounded by disks of pepperoni or salami, which came with our salad even though we asked what was in the salad and ordered it because the waitress did not mention any meat... read more

Located in Brighton Park on the corner of 40th Place, California and Archer. Be warned that it gets noisier on Friday-Sunday evenings. If you come here, expect a good wait time, daily drink specials and a very "true to the neighborhood" feel. On to the food... Their pizza is piping hot and very underrated. The first time I ever had a sausage and jalapeno pizza and it has never disappointed. Their thin crust pizza ranks up there and just surprised that not a lot of others know about this place.
