Family Dental has been very good to me. They have been very patient with my cancellations due to fear of getting my teeth deep cleaned. I thought it would hurt but it was so quick and easy to get through. They have always been on top of my appointments and have been very understanding and caring about my fears. By far, the worst experience I have EVER had at a dentist. I came in for my 4PM appointment at 4PM, and was not seen till 5:10PM for a simple cleaning. By the time we finished at 5:25PM, my mouth was bleeding everywhere. I have never felt pain from a simple cleaning in all my years, until I went here. 2 tears literally came down from my eyes, and that's after she put topical anesthesia. I could only imagine how painful it is to go through without anesthesia. After all that, she had the audacity to tell me she'd waive my $5 'office visit' fee. Will never recommend and never come back Update: She wrote me a letter and I think it disappointed me more! I have been to several dentists in my lifetime. Never have I ever had an experience as bad as this one. Dr. Saleeb is nice enough, but her bedside manner and customer service is abysmal. I went in for my first cleaning here, and the first thing she said was that she was putting anesthetic on my gums. I had orthodontia work done at USC, and I've had several dentists in Pasadena/out of state, and none of them were so bad at their jobs that they had to rely on numbing agents to clean teeth. My family's dentist is actually careful, considerate, and professional, and so they don't need numbing medicine to keep the patient comfortable. That should have been my warning sign. The doctor then used a mechanical tool on my gums. I'm sure that many dentists use this tool, but I was in so much pain that I told her to stop multiple times. She didn't. She kept saying that the tool was the industry standard and it was almost over. The scraping was so agonizing it was physically hurting my ears. It was excruciating. She kept using it, despite my exclamations of pain, on every tooth. She eventually switched to a different tool, but who cares? She didn't listen to my pain, or my requests. I don't care if ".1% of dentists use hand tools." If I say I want a hand tool, then switch the damn tool. I was bleeding and covered in drool and water by the time she was done. She tried to stop the bleeding my pressing a wet cloth over my teeth, which nearly choked me from gagging. She kept saying that this was normal, that she needed to "reattach my gums to my teeth." (wtf does that mean?!) Did I mention that she needed the assistance of a hygienist? So I had two pairs of hands wrenching my mouth open, ignoring my requests, pressing on my gums, hurting my mouth? Ugh. Dr. Saleeb makes me understand why some people are petrified of dentists. If I had visited her repeatedly I would be terrified too. Never again. read more

"JUST PICK A DENTIST, ANY DENTIST!!!" Or at least that's how it felt when I was forced to change dentists after changing insurance companies... What a nightmare! I must've researched fifty dentists from around the Fullerton area but still didn't feel like I knew enough about who to choose as my new dentist...after all, this is my teeth we're talking about! And I'm NOT a big fan of pain of any sort generating from anywhere above my neck!!! So I ended up taking my chances with a place on Chapman and State College (in Fullerton) called "Family Dental." The Dentist's name is Dr Nadia Saleeb and her assistant's name is "Gonzalo" (I hope I spelled that right). For probably the first time in my life, I made the right choice when I picked this place! Because I gotta tell you...I'm a very picky, hard to please customer--and even worse as a dental patient. Add to that that I'm a scaredy-cat when it comes to dentists. Dr Saleeb was able to calm me down and surprise surprise...it didn't hurt! She and her assistant both jumped through proverbial hoops for me by the time my dental work was finished. She did an excellent job without causing me any pain! And I can smile again!!! :-D It was hard leaving my old dentist but Dr Saleeb made the transition well worth while. Two thumbs up!! read more

Dr. Saleeb is not only a great dentist, but she goes above and beyond to ensure you feel comfortable.
