    Happy Hour Menu (March 2025)

Very nice server. We went during happy hour to watch the Warriors game. Lots of screens and lots of drink options and bbq parings. We ordered: - Southside tips comes w/fries and pickles **** - Smokehouse Grilled Cheese ****

We're rarely in this part of the Bay, but recently found ourselves here and stumbled on this location of Famous Daves. Walked in and the place is huge. It seems newly built inside and out, with fresh everything from table and chairs to TVs and menus. Suffice to say, it felt sparkling clean inside. But worried that on this Saturday early dinner, it was relatively empty. We dropped in on a night when the Dodgers (yuck) were playing in the postseason. But surprised it wasn't on. Had to ask one the waiters to put the game on one of the 20 TVs they had going on. I really think it's the bartenders job to know what's going on sportswise on the day of their shift. And tune the games to show. Oh well, I ordered up a beer and one of the combo plates that you get to pick your meats. Got me some ribs of course and some brisket. The ribs were nice and tender and not fall off the bone. Which I like. It had some bite to it. Don't like when it just comes off the bone. Mines came without sauce, but there's a bunch of bottles on the table that you can dress your meat to your liking. The brisket was also good, tender and juicy. I've been to Texas a bunch of times, so it would be unfair to compare a chain to a local Texas joint. That said, this place does BBQ pretty decently, and I would not hesitate to come back here for the food and vibes.

This is for two people. Hella lot of food for the price.

I remember going to the original Famous Dave's about twenty years ago in Minneapolis. Good food for not a whole lot of money. So I was psyched when I saw they had grown out of their midwestern roots and set up a restaurant in alameda. Checked it out with my fam. And yeah. Some things have changed. The seating area is modern and bright but has lots of good nooks to eat with your people. Felt a bit sad it was empty at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. Maybe alamedans don't party late? Ordered the feast for two despite having four people cuz some of us weren't that hungry. That was a good call as the plate that arrived was huge and could have easily fed four hungry people. Lots of leftovers I think. This is a Midwest bbq so it's different from Texas or South Carolina. Good in its own right. I find it a bit sweet. The provided sauces were good but wish there was even more choice. Oh yeah, the onion rings were on the smalll side but the two sauces they came with were yummy. Good beer selection. Anyway, I hope they find their vibe because I'd like them to stick around a while.

Always had heard about this place, so once i tried it i loved it! The restaurant is very big and comfortable, very much like a BBQ spot should be, the service is always quick and the staff are all very knowledgeable about the menu and guide you with any questions you may have. For being a chain i really love the BBQ especially the trip tip and burnt ends which are my favorite, if you ever come across a Famous Daves Location you must stop by!

Late post from this past Sunday. I totally meant to post sooner. Second visit to this location. I had great service by the person who was running the corner and bartending and serving which is quite a bit for one person but he did a good job. The food is always great and this location is pretty quiet which is also a plus. I was there around lunch time just after opening so that should be mentioned. I will continue to return as I am a fan of the franchise and it's food. I had a couple drinks also which were good. I should mention to that they have an happy hour every day which is pretty cool- even weekends- love that :)

I live in San Diego and we don't have FD, but I started account and have been ordering for my sister in Fairfield. I came to do small family gathering with nephew in bay area and decided to use them to cater. From a person with 40 years catering and events planning experience, I can tell you that FD is "Over the To" EXCEPTIONAL." Every single item was amazing. The servings were great. The customer service was great. This was the first time that I have ever been given enough cutlery, sauce and plates. I am super impressed. Lastly, this location is absolutely beautiful. Very clean, nice layout and very professional and friendly staff.

Excellent quality food and beautiful new restaurant open for dine in. Seating available both indoor and out. Excellent quality food. I can directly compare to the last similar sandwich I had at Dickies BBQ - a burnt ends sandwich - that wasn't all that great. Here at Famous Daves the bread and the meat was much better and I think the meat portion a bit more generous too. Made for a great value. Came with some cole slaw - I tend to like that with BBQ best lately. Beautiful new restaurant - interior is immaculate and large windows make it bright and cheerful. Lots of seating - tons of options - both inside and out. Sit on the perimeter for quiet - or near the bar with the TVs. This restaurant is just across the street from the new $1.5 million pack and stack housing. I'm ready to live in a shoe box there just so I can have Famous Dave as my neighbor. Recently was also at Everette and Jones. So many redneck diamonds on the sidewalks there. If you've got an SUV I would strongly suggest you come here instead - or mabye E&Js #2. Attentive, friendly service - I went at an off hour - Seinfeld early bird dinner style. I usually do that or super late night to avoid the rush. With short staffing everywhere and covid cut backs might be a good idea.

Rib-n-Meat Combo with Fries and Coleslaw

Pretty good barbecue spot. I got the rib and meat combo. I opted for the brisket as my meat option along with the ribs. I also got French fries and coleslaw with my meal. The meal already included a slice of cornbread. First of all, the ribs were delicious. They were cooked exceptionally. They were tender and had a very wonderful flavor. Loved that smoke of the ribs. The brisket on the other hand was okay. I felt that they were a bit overcooked. I was glad that I had the pleasure of eating the brisket with their BBQ sauces. I have tried the 3 that were provided and enjoyed the sweet and tangy sauce the best. The sauce definitely saved the slightly overcooked meat. The fries were good and tasted better with the sauces. The slaw was okay. The cornbread wasn't too bad. It has a nice consistency and wasn't too sweet. I was really surprised by how much lemonade I was given. It was served in a pretty big mason jar and it was a lot for me to finish. Service wasn't too bad. Our server was very friendly and efficient. They made sure our meal came in a timely manner and also made sure we had an enjoyable experience. It was actually a delight to have a huge glass of drink to wash down all of the meat that I have consumed. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant is situated in a plaza with many other businesses. Nice to see it bustling for the early lunch rush. Glad to have dined here for lunch.

I ordered the half chicken, it's 2 pieces of tender juicy chicken, coated with sauce. The whole chicken, most likely, is 4 pcs of chicken.

Review is for the London Bus Burger, Louie Louie (soft-shelled crab) and onion rings! The Bureau 510 gets their burgers right: lightly seasoned, not overly handled so you can feel the wonderful texture along with some major juiciness. Also a big plus is their meat-to-bun ratio so you get a nice bite of burger with the sturdy yet soft bun. The Louie Louie looked amazing. My 2 friends ordered that and devoured. It was lightly battered, not greasy and a nice size. Onion rings were house-made and equally light with a beer batter. Delicious! Staff very welcoming, friendly and checked on us a couple of times. Menu has plenty of options to choose from. The Bureau 510 did a great job (has me craving more!) this visit so will definitely return to try items like the fish and chips, clam chowder and Chef Specials. Service was quiet but attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was the real star. We started with the Brussels sprouts (light, crispy, and perfectly cooked), calamari (well‑seasoned and not heavy at all), and warm biscuits with whipped honey butter--so good. The clam chowder stole the show for us: poured tableside, rich but not heavy, and full of flavor. For entrées, the seafood pasta was fantastic, the lobster rigatoni was delicious (just wished for a bit more lobster), the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the lamb--while tasty--could've used a touch more time. Our waiter Jacob also came around right away to see if we wanted to order any drinks, we ordered the old fashioned, the Mai tai special, and margarita. Drinks came back pretty quick which was good. All the drinks tasted pretty good. For starters we ordered the calamari for the table, fruit salad, clam chowder, and a wedge salad. The calamari came out first, it was cooked perfect, had good flavor to it, the Brussel sprouts mixed with it was tasty, and the lemon sauce that came with it was refreshing. The clam chowder was excellent but it was more like a cup than a bowl. The wedge salad was okay, I've never had eggs in my wedge before, and it could use some better bacon bits or whatever it was for the bits of meat. The fruit salad was great. For our entrees we ordered the Ribeye, the Lamb chops, the Pork chop, the New York or Sirloin, and the Duck Breast. The good thing is that all of the entrees came with sides versus a la cart. The entrees came out after a while which wasn't too bad. It seemed like they only had one waiter taking orders for all the tables. Ribeye, Lamb Chops, Pork Chop Sirloin, and the Duck Breast were cooked perfect, med rare, and great flavor on all the meats. The ribeye was a little tough which was weird since it was cooked perfect., so I don't why that was. All the sides (cream spinach, mashed potatoes, corn, brussel sprouts) were very good. For dessert we shared the Strawberry Shortcake and the Churros. Two great desserts, fluffy bread, tasty strawberries, the sauce was perfect, the churros came out hot, nice crunch to them, and the flavor was great. Overall, a great place to have dinner. The restaurant has plenty of seating. We go all around the bay area and I believe prices are pretty high for drinks, soups, salads, and desserts. We didn't have any Italian food but looking at the menu, they could be just a tad high as well. Our waiter Jacob did a great job.

I came here last night for a personal event. I told the owner that I was not going to do a review…read moretonight, but he actually stated for me to do one... so here it goes. For the event, we had reserved labels on our tables. The waiter took drink orders, then food orders. I came late and requested to be the last one to place a food and drink order because I did not want to hold the others up. The waiter forgot about me. He never returned. Fortunately, a waitress was bringing something over to a table buddy of mine and I was able to place my order with her. However, I ordered 2 drinks. One was supposed to come immediately after ordering and the other with my food. The waitress said she was going to try to plan the one with my food so it came out together. She forgot about my 1st drink until reminded almost 20 mins later. I ordered my food which was $17.50 sliders with a substitute of fries $2.. and add bacon $2. When my food came, it came with some sort of greens (Arugula salad..I think) and a side of fries. I don't understand why I got salad because I substituted it for fries. My fries came out first, which made no sense because I ordered my food together. However, upon tasting the fries.. they were cold in some parts..smh. I sent them back for hot fries. The sliders seemed overcooked because they were dry. I'm used to sliders being juicy and soft. My sliders were hard...smh. I did not bother to send them back because I was with many people and I really did not feel like going through the motions tonight..as I normally would have of my food order is just wrong. When the bill came, I noticed that they charged me $9 for a large fries. If it was only +2 to substitute... why did I get charge that? I went on and paid it without complaints. There were at least 4 ppl who ordered food before me and they still did not get their food and it was like an hour passing. I had 2 glasses of wine (Malbec & Blanc). Both were good. I loved the fact that they had karaoke. However, I disliked the fact that people who had gone once still went a 2nd time although there were plenty of people who still had not gone a 1st time. I think this place is chill. They need to do better with accomodating larger parties in both a timely manner and effectively ensuring food is correct, hot and cooked to perfection. I think they probably do best with a table of 4 or 5 ppl. Lastly, it was super hot in here. Yes there are ceiling fans. However, it seems that they have no central air whatsoever. That's ridiculous. Oh BTW.. no waiter ever came back to our table to ask if we wanted to order anything more. They also did not come over to ask if the food was good either. Our finshed plates say in front of us from the time we got it until almost 11pm. I would say that my table received food by 8:30ish.
