Normally this is my go to place for bbq but today must have been their off day. I walked in and stood waiting for a period of time and did not receive assistance. I finally flagged someone down asking if there is anyone to seat someone. I was told they don't have host and be patient. I told her I'm being patient and was just asking. Also I was taken aback because she had no idea how long I've been waiting and to assume I'm being impatient. Didn't sit right with me. So I left.

I ended going back to this place several times since my last review since it's very close to where I work and let me tell you, my mind has changed. Their service was still great but their food has improved tremendously. Maybe I just got unlucky the first time but I really have started enjoying going to famous Dave's on my lunch breaks. Their lunch prices are fair and they always give special coupons and deals which keeps me coming back!

All American bbq feast

The food and the service was amazing, our waitress was extremely friendly and made our visit very welcoming. I would definitely recommend.

Great service Teano Love the corn bread if I lived closer this would be a this would be my first choice

Amazingly disappointing! Let me start by acknowledging the staff. They were awesome, attentive, and very pleasant. Zero complaints about the service or the people. However the food was exceptionably bad. The brisket was dry like chalk and the wedge fries were entirely forgettable. The salad dressing was runny, almost like the Blue Cheese was watered down. The Roast chicken was good, moist, and had some flavor. The corn bread should be squares cut from a pan and fresh cooked, instead tasted like a store bought corn muffin with a honey glaze spread on top. I was overall disappointed by a large margin. The restaurant sits on far too large a foot print (square space) for the business I saw there. For proof to my point, you need only look at the sad bar space that had less back stock of spirits and liquor than my own home cabinet. I sincerely doubt that the large bar area ever sees a crowd commensurate with its size. Any bar where the bartenders can lock the register and disappear for 10 minutes at a time, does not have the business it needs on a Saturday afternoon during football season. One of the rare 1 star ratings, I've ever dropped.

The location is easy to get to. Plenty of parking and the inside of the restaurant was neat and tidy. Our server was super nice and made sure our waters were full. I ordered "burnt ends" from the menu. There is an upcharge for this item. I have had burnt ends in the past from other barbeque places and understand why there would be an upcharge. However, what came to the table was not burnt ends. It was diced up meat with a very dark sauce for the "burnt" look. This was disappointing. We were excited for the corn bread having heard how delicious it was. It came to the table and crumbled in our hands when we tried to eat it. Their pickles are great!

Half barbecue chicken

This place is good but hit or miss. My meal was fairly good but beware as the chicken can be cold at times.

Entertainment a plenty: live music, lots & lots of TVs, cornhole. Summer was our server. She was infectious with her happy demeanor. Our party of three thought the appetizers were so interesting that we made it a smorgasbord of appetizers and drinks for our dining experience. Wish we had a Culinary Dropout in Kansas City (and the cool evenings of Denver in June!)

By now, average foodies have experienced what Culinary Dropout is all about and yet I humbly and honestly admit the fact that I was a virgin until I for the first time experienced it today on July 16, 2026. In a way, it was like celebrating a super belated birthday of someone I know. This Denver location is rightfully located in this one of the newly developed residential areas that used to be a desert (lol!!) With a blink of an eye, all sorts of businesses popped up within the last 5-10 years or so. First and foremost, what a spacious restaurant this is! Very modern with some casual sense but upscale at the same time. All 5 of us were taken all the way back to the u-shaped booths that is at the "Converse sneaker" decorated wall near the restrooms. Our waiter was John. His impeccable friendliness with expert-level server skills was quite notable. His timeliness in giving us a moment or two so we could decide what to drink/eat, checking back on us to see how everything was tasting etc. was almost AI-driven accuracy. For food and drinks, I am just going to speak just for myself. I got... -Vida Verdita which is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has a good amount of kick in it with pineapple with green appearance and -Roasted Salmon; the portion is a bit small and yet overall it tasted good with perfect medium-ness. Vida Verdita is one of the best NA drinks I've ever had in a while. This minimal consequence beverage is $9 as of mid-July 2026. If you want to steer clear of being drunk but want some energized push to get your night going then I highly recommend this NA drink. Roasted Salmon, on the other hand, was lacking exceptional quality for the price of $31. It wasn't bad as it was prepared in the perfect medium texture but I found it a bit boring so if spending $30+ on a mediocre plate is your pet peeve, then this "run of the mill" dish should be avoided. I feel that they should add more ingredients such as broccolini (yes, something green (not just some cilantro leaves) needs to be added to the plate.) In conclusion...did I walk away being super impressed after dining at Culinary Dropout Denver tonight? No, not really. And yet I wasn't disappointed either. Overall, my experience tonight sits somewhere between 3.5 and 4 star level. It was an occasion for our monthly "girls' get-together" and it's my understanding that we will meet at this place next month again. I will thus explore more on the menu by trying something different.

My wife and I stopped into Steuben's to have a snack (donut holes) and a couple of rounds of cocktails. We used the Dining Out Passbook for BOGO cocktails with purchase of food. Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

Inside, it had a great sports bar vibe without feeling overwhelming. They had all the NBA and NHL playoff games on, and I could easily see myself coming back here to catch a game and grab food with friends. The beer selection was also solid, with a nice variety of local breweries and ciders. For food, we started with the roni rolls, which were really good. The portion isn't huge, but it's perfect for sharing between 2-4 people. The menu mentions allowing extra time for them to come out, but ours arrived surprisingly quickly. We also split a half Caesar salad, which was pretty standard but worked well as a lighter course between appetizers and pizza. The highlight was definitely the Catapult pizza -- really flavorful and absolutely worth ordering. Would definitely recommend the pizzas here overall. For dessert, we went with the brownie skillet sundae based on our waiter's recommendation. It's basically like a smaller brownie version of a pizookie. The edges were a little overdone from the hot skillet, but overall it was still really good. If you're a brownie fan or just have a sweet tooth, it's definitely worth trying. Great energy, great setup for families and sports fans alike, and a place I'd happily come back to.
