All of my food was luke warm. I had the burnt ends and bbq chicken. Tasted ok though.

We had a party of 25+ people with one waiter, it was not acceptable. Although the food was edible the portions on my plate were small. The catfish is recommended as well as the cornbread muffins. My bbq chicken was a leg quarter :( ..again portions. Don't bother calling ahead for table(s) we were placed right next to another large party, chairs literally crammed into the bday right across the way. It didn't seem any extra accommodations were put in place for us, including the single server who was running around overwhelmed. The celebration was not affected by the lack of service, but I would think twice for large groups here. read more

For BBQ, this is the best place to go if you are limited to a 2-mile radius from the ELP airport. Overall, this BBQ is just okay. Outside in front of the door there is a fun photo opportunity to pretend to be pigs and stand behind the backdrop and only show your head. My group did that while we were waiting to be seated. We came here on Father's Day. This place was not crowded at all and there were obviously open tables near the waiting area, but we were told that we would be seated in 5 minutes. 10-15 minutes passed and we were still waiting in the waiting area. Another group came in (about the same # of people), and they were seated right away.. We were not happy about that. I had to ask when we were going to be seated and that was when the lady said we can be seated now. What were we waiting for?? She led us to a table that had food and trash all over the floor. We saw another table that was cleaner nearby and asked if we could sit at that table, so we sat there. I ordered a whole slab of ribs so that my group can share and we also ordered other things. Ribs were okay, not the best. The meat stayed on the bone, instead of falling off the bone. Service for food was good, but from entering the restaurant to getting a table, service was not good. My husband has been craving southern food since we left GA and it has definitely been a struggle to find a place around here. So we decided to settle for some good ol bbq and OMG! Famous Dave's did not disappoint! All of the BBQ sauces tasted amazing with the devil spit being our favorite. We ordered the dinner for 2 which included brisket, chicken, and ribs along with beans and potatoes. Everything tasted just great with the meats being extremely tender. We ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it was just so decadent and mouth watering. This will definitely be our go to spot for bbq. read more

I have no words..... rarely am I left speechless! We are traveling home to AZ and when in El Paso, TX, get BBQ. Researched Yelp for Best BBQ near our hotel and Famous Dave's popped up! The two of us wanted an array of choices therefore the Feast for 2 was perfect! BOY WAS IT EVER PERFECT! The ribs (6) were out of this world! The chicken was roasted to perfection, we chose the briscuit and it was amazing! The fries and corn bread muffins were spectacular! I can't say enough about the beans! The corn was a little over cooked but after eating everything else there was no room for corn. Honestly this was enough for 3. The platter to-go was served on a catering tray. Truly best dinner we've had traveling in 2 weeks. I saw some reviews about mediocre....I have no idea what they are talking about and obviously aren't talking about the right place! Awfull reheated grub, I order the ribs and the pulled pork and the ribs were extra chewy instead of soft, sign that they may have been reheated several times I know I got reheated food because they served me the food almost immediately and it sucked, the place was empty that means I got food that was left over and it was awful I've have had better at famous daves but when it was almost full, that means that food is prepared as it is ordered. Lord I am not one to complain but on top of the waiter petting my 4 year old like a puppy on the head I gave my card for a slips check transaction and was still charged both checks and then a hour later after they closed charged a third time. After calling on the day it took 3 days and another processed payment bring my total to 2 and a half times the bill for my food. 250$. After all the phone calls getting myself to accounting because no one would connect me I was told by Mari "what do you want me to do I refunded you 66.71 to your account already." My bill was 96$ that is a big difference between 250$ and 96$. Finally I was given a address to the office with a check for the 250$ left in a envelope with the poor front desk girl would had to be the face that apologized to me. I'm so on the fence about my review for this establishment. Driving back 14 hours from San Antonio to Goodyear AZ we thought this would be the best spot to stop, stretch our legs and grab a bite before our final 7 hour leg of travel! He returned to take our food order and all seemed well until the order came to the table! See one of my sons had ordered a Dave's Signature Burger ($10.99) while the other ordered a Devils Spit Burger ($11.99) when the order came out it was 2 Dave's Burgers.. so in figuring out the confusion I ask my boys who ordered what? The server (wait staff from the kitchen) boldly states- they're the same burger with 2 different sides so who had what side?? I look at her and smile, then state- yes. It's the same burger with 2 different sides BUT it needs to be two different burgers with two different sides!!! Fast forward this young girl walks to the table after I bring it to the attention of our waiter that we have accepted the wrong order and would like to be charged accordingly. She looks at me unbothered and says, is there a problem? I reply with no. She then eyes me up, as if she has any authority outside of her Famous Dave's experience or expertise and starts questioning me about the WRONG BURGER her waitstaff BROUGHT out!!!! She then proceeded to tell me that she will give me a discount as if she's doing ANYTHING to make this situation any better and was unpleasantly shocked when I said I didn't want a discount, I desire my bill to reflect the items provided!! She then snubbed me and said- yeah it will!! I watched as she returns to her friends and spoke poorly of me, a paying customer and they all had their giggles!!! All I know is being a mother of 5 and a supervisor in the airline industry this was immaturely handled. Rolled into El Paso after a long haul from Houston and saw the familiar Famous Dave's pig. Excited to experience an old favorite that's no longer available at home, we decided to pull in. We waited for over 45 minutes for 2 pulled chicken sandwiches. It was only after 30 minutes had passed that our waitress informed of us two large parties ahead of us... that's fine and all, but either tell us beforehand or manage your kitchen better. This is a Tuesday night, mind you, and the restaurant was virtually empty. The wait time was not redeemed by the food's quality... I bit into a bone- a BIG bone- on the first bite of my pulled chicken sandwich. The chicken was more chunked than pulled. It was also mostly dark meat and was VERY gamey. I just smothered it in sauce and sucked it up... didn't feel like waiting another hour for more food. Another note... the pickles weren't as good as the Famous Dave's brand pickles that you get in the jar at the grocery store. read more

The ribs were good but tiny and not very meaty, the brisket was just aweful my husband and I gave the brisket to our dog because it tasted like dog grade meat. The burger was good. It tasted like your average thrown on the gill burger. The mac and cheese was aweful. It was full of corn and tasted more like cream corn than it did cheese. Three folks could have split the Feast for two but like I said the brisket had to be smothered in sauce. Ate at other FD's and they were good but didn't listen to the reviews. You can't rate poor service if it never shows up. Let me start by saying I love Famous Dave's. I have gone to the other location in El Paso, Santa Ana, CA and Long Beach, CA. But this location was a big disappointment. I was visiting my family and we stopped by to have and early dinner before they would drop me off at the airport. We went into the restaurant and were promptly seated as their was no wait. Well the no wait part ended there because we waited and waited and waited and nobody showed up to our table. Since we had no rush we were occupied in our conversation when we then noticed that others had arrived and already had drinks and nobody other then the host had helped us. So I went to the host and let her know that we had waited for over 20 minutes and nobody has helped us. I asked her nicely if we could be helped and if she could notify the manager. I went back to the table and she went to tell the waiters and all the waiters kind of huddled and looked our way and looked like they were debating who's table it was and after 10 more minutes of nobody showing up I went to look for the restaurant manager. The assistant manager herd me tell an employee that I needed to talk to the manager and she had the employee call the general manager. The general manager came out to the table and I explained the situation. While I was explaining he kept saying he was sorry. When I finished explaining and gave him his chance to reply and make things right he said he was sorry. That is all he said "I'm sorry". We kind of just stared at each other, I was waiting for more (like some kind of service). I was thinking to myself a good manager would say sorry and I'll take care of you guys personally, let me get you started. What would you like to drink, get some drinks out some water and let me take your order, personally, it's the least a manager can do. Since the manager never offered any service and didn't add anything to "I'm sorry" all six of us got up and left. Then I told him what I had been thinking and he said "oh... let me make this up to you, what can I get you" by this time we were on our way out. I just told him it was too late. A customer shouldn't have to tell a manager how to make things right, when to make things right only takes giving us what we first went their for... good service and good BBQ food. We will not go back to this location. Sad because its next to the airport and we always have dinner before I leave El Paso. Find yourself another Famous Dave's and have some great BBQ food. Like I said I love Famous Dave's but bad customer service should not be rewarded with your business. All the other locations I have been to have been great and the food has always been great. That's why I say it was a disappointment. We ended up going next door to Carino's Italian restaurant and had some good Italian family food and the waitress got herself a nice big tip.
