At the same time as we discovered that situation, the table next to us had to send their entree back because it had plastic in it. I do not think this is coincidental. First time here and staff was incredible. As an appetizer ordered the Burnt Outs. Very tasty brisket. Then the feast for two since it was myself and my wife. Great suggestion from our waiter. Bein able to strike a conversation with commonalities like Chicago to the Army made it worthwhile to listen to his sales pitch on his faves. And those favorites ended up being ours. Will be back. Horrible Uber Eats meal delivered from Famous Dave's on Zaragosa. Not in normal packaging like the see through plate. No fd logo just a dirty and greasy box with burned meats inside. I was excited to try this barbecue location in the Lone Star State. It was Valentine's Day and the location Was not extremely busy when we went in there just after 4 PM. My wife ordered a chicken salad my grandson ordered a small rib plate and I ordered the $28 single beef rib. The side portions were extremely small. I was expecting a Flintstone size rib that did not arrive. What I did receive was a rib that was 80% fat. After three or four bites my stomach begin to rumble and then came Montezuma's revenge. I asked the waitress if this is the norm for ribs to be so chocked full of fat and she says it's the luck of the draw. I would expect a better cut of meat for $28. Suffice to say I did not eat it. All in all not a great experience. I should also mention the waitress did not come back after we asked for multiple items such as salad dressing, refills, questions about order. Ok let me start off by saying that my entire experience wasn't the worst. This review is for the "to go" part of the restaurant. I ordered 5 of the "All American BBQ platters." They were quick to accommodate my order. I spent close to $400 on these platters. I arrive at 5 to pick up and the girl at the counter said they were still working on my orders. I said, no problem! I will pay and wait in my truck. I then, gave her my phone number so she could call me when everything is ready. Several minutes later, she called me to tell me my order was ready. I carried all 5 trays out to my truck, going in to retrieve one by one. No problem, ok? My issue was that as I left I asked to make sure everything was prepared. The girl helping me said we were good, so I left! I dropped the food off at the event and left. Later to find out that they had failed to provide utensils, bbq sauce and what really got me was they forgot 5 trays worth of corn bread!! Lol I then called Famous Dave's to address the problem, upon calling I asked for a manager. The girl that answered told me it was too busy for the manager to come to the phone. So I addressed my problem with her. And what do you know!! She's the one who had helped me with my order. She said and I quote, "I told you to wait for the muffins." I said, "no you never did and had you have known I left without them, you had my number and you quickly could have called me." She continued to argue her case to tell me she told me to wait. I told her I needed to speak to her manager and she said she would have the manager call me later. Still waiting for the call. ****UPDATE**** GM reached out to me and thoroughly apologized! Honestly, my problem wasn't the worst. It was the way the situation was handled by staff. But the gm really went above and beyond to help me. He understood me without a question. It was me & my boyfriend's first time attending & he suggested the brisket, sausage, & cornbread which was so good & sweet we considered it our dessert. After visiting several restaurants in the area on a Friday evening and being given a wait time of 1 hour and 20 minutes or at least 45 minutes, it was very relieving when we were not given a wait time and we were immediately given a table. Famous Dave's had the atmosphere we were looking for. The drinks menu did not disappoint. I enjoyed the smoked long island ice tea, they prepare it on your table. The rest of my party had IPA. Additionally, the food was pretty good, the food presentation and tasty sides complemented the BBQ. Tasted the ribs and the BBQ tacos. Again, all was very well served, and could have been delicious but the BBQ tacos were mostly fat, so regardless of how great everything else was the fat was a bit disappointing. The Ribs were pretty good, enjoyed the taste of them, and the many sauces available but I will not lie and state the ribs were amazing. Our waitress was excellent. This review is for the location on Montana. I wish I could've taken a picture of the plate when I brought it home. Incredibly small portions from the six small strips of brisket, to the kids'sized mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, and coleslaw. Found this place across the street from my hotel after a very long day at a job site. Had the beef rib(s) I think it was like 2 ribs but they were comically huge and had a perfectly smoky crust on it. The meat was juicy and perfectly done. I could only eat about half because I'm not a competitive eater, but I'm already looking forward to lunch tomorrow. It was pricy, maybe even the most expensive thing on the menu, but totally worth it. Im on a meat high right now. Staff was very friendly and the bar had a very chill vibe. I've eaten here twice the first time just a party of two and the food was good but nothing to rave about, service was friendly but when I asked to talk to the manager about accommodating a party of 45 he basically said sure here's the catering menu and left. After calling the catering department several times and talking with the manager over thr course of weeks (too many phone calls for something as simple as 45 people, date, time, I want three of your catering meal packages). Yesterday was the day, the group started showing up and the food was coming in. The food this time around was GREAT everyone was happy with the food and service. They also comped the group up to 20 beers since they dont have their liquor license. Servers were on point with taking plates and filling drinks. Nine months. I've been back in El Paso for nine months!! Yet I just NOW found a place that makes the best tasting buffalo wings in town! *smh* I've eaten at Famous Dave's plenty of times in the past. Honestly, it was never really a top ten favorite for me, but I liked it almost a little more than Applebee's or Chili's, just to give you an idea. In the past, we would have to visit the west side location if we wanted to taste their world famous BBQ sauce. But I would always get the cheddar burger because they charbroil it and it's actually quite the delectation. However, today...I made up my mind that I was gonna try something completely different (and ultimately avoid beef all together) which may have changed my life as I know it. For today...I walked in as any average patron. After trying their buffalo wings with blue cheese...I walked out a changed man. Their sauce is completely on point! It's what buffalo wings should taste like, in my humble opinion. Also in keeping with slightly healthier options, I accompanied these wings with onion strings as opposed to fries (although their fries are also really good, especially with a little of their rich n' sassy sauce). I remember trying their onion strings as an appetizer when we first moved back to the area. These are easily the best version of onion strings I've had in the area. The remoulade sauce on the side is a nice touch, too. I can still remember what the west side Famous Dave's looked like, decorum wise. This one seems 10 times nicer! The bar is fresh looking, the entrance is very inviting, as is the dining area. I guess I just never really noticed any of this before, on account of us having only ordered take-out the first time. Most people come to Famous Dave's for the BBQ. I'm sitting here, a changed man, telling you to try the buffalo wings...even if only as an appetizer. Trust me--this place has a LOT more going on for themselves than just the rich n' sassy sauce everyone seems to come for. I dare say they could even give Track One a run for its money. read more

This location has been a great experience every time. I think what makes this place is the people. I have had several servers and met with management and had no issues. I do have a favorite location to sit but if J.R. Has a different area I will go there. He goes out of his way to explain what's with the menu, he already know what I like to eat and has given great recommendations. Unfortunately now he is a bartender, but I now try to eat at the bar or the tall tables and him as my server. Wow, where do I begin. Amazing! From the moment someone's holding the door open for me, warmly welcoming us with huge smiles. We were seated almost immediately. Our waitress Candace MADE THEE EXPERIENCE! I'm on vacation and have been to several places and this is by far the best one. Beef ribs was great, corn bread OMG! My friends in Central Texas always assume I'm lying when I say the best BBQ in El Paso is Rudy's, State Line, and Famous Dave's because they are all chain restaurants, but it's true. While a lot of people associate Texas with great BBQ, the BBQ scene in El Paso, like any cuisine that isn't Mexican, is anemic at best. And that's not to say the food at Famous Dave's is mediocre, because it isn't, I genuinely like it and think it's very good. I love the ribs here, I always get the rib and meat combo with either BBQ chicken or sausage, which are both good. Brisket is okay, but for brisket you go to Rudy's. Great sauces! Get the Mac and Cheese for your side, it's terrific, has jalapeños, corn and other goodies, I get it as both my sides. Corn bread is also really good! I really like what they've done with the place, I used to frequent Jaxon's and they completely remodeled the interior for Famous Dave's. Truthfully, the service isn't as good as the Far East location, but it's not horrible, just a little slow and inattentive. I'll tack that on to being new. Honestly, we love their bread pudding 10x more than their BBQ. However for being a chain, the BBQ is decent. You can count on the sauces and dry rubs having plenty of flavor. If you need more - you have 6 sauces at your table. My husband said his combo was warm but got cold quickly. The brisket had good flavor and he said the smokiness was strong however it was dry... the sausage skin had a crunch but needed extra sauce too. No butter was served with the corn. Perfect amount of food though. My salad was a great portion, lots of meat :-) I always ask for extra dressing because I personally think restaurant salads are rather dry. The extra dressing was needed for the meat too - it was dry on its own. I didn't get butter with my biscuit either. We started with the burnt ends and those came out hot so no complaints with the appetizer. We're guessing the meat is kept warm in trays/heat lamps... All cooked overnight (because the flavor is there, everything was just sort of "warm" but dried out). Since the place is new (our waitress guessed maybe 3 months), the staff has not synced yet. Our waitress sat in the kitchen when she wasn't waiting on her tables which was frustrating when we wanted to ask for butter (she finally showed up when we were ready for the check). We also had to get another waitress to find her so we could pay. We contemplated ordering the bread pudding but we still have to drive 6 hours and that'd make us sleepy! Until next time... Since it's new, the place is clean. Bar has a few big TVs and the back dining room has 3 and working on adding #4. There seems to be a patio in the works. It's a huge space since it was changed over from a previous establishment... If you've been to a FD before, you will enjoy the space at this location. read more

I love the Famous Dave's locations in the Phoenix area, but this one was pretty sad. The facility was pretty standard, except there was a bit of an odd layout - the entrance didn't feel like an entrance, and it opens to the bar, with the actual restaurant behind that. Normally, I go with my wife and we get a combo meal. I've always been happy with the portions for the price. At this location, I had the Texas Brisket, and there may have been a few ounces of brisket on my plate. It felt like I paid way too much for that meal. The staff could use some training. When I came in, the host desk was empty, and when a young man came up to man it, it seemed confused and finally suggested going and picking a seat.
