Brisket BBQ with two sides
Sonja A.

Not a fan of BBQ chain restaurants much and Famous Dave's is no exception. Not sure their style (definitely not Memphis nor Kansas City) because the brisket was dry, the sauces very ordinary and the sides too simple. The salad dressings are either creamy or creamy based (so no Italian or vinaigrette options) and the baked potatoes were only partially baked (so a little on the firm side). The decor in the dining room is slightly tired and outdated (think 1970's old west) and the restroom was not stocked well (no hand soap means the wait staff are using Lord knows what to clean their hands). Definitely not worth a visit here.

Dirty menu's
Andrew A.

I hadn't been in for barbecue in a while and stopped in couple days ago. I was seated at a booth, but unfortunately every menu on the table was caked with barbecue sauce( dried like just didn't happen), which felt unwelcoming. I'm sharing this more as feedback than a knock on the restaurant--I know things get busy, but a quick wipe-down would go a long way for first impressions.

Baby & 2 Meats Combo Corn Bread Muffin Burnt Ends Appetizer

Mine was takeout, best BBQ package I've had in years! Expertly packaged and excellent food! I will be back!

Soggy cornbread and cold food.

Don't bother ordering curbside pickup - no one is going to bring your food out to you. Have ordered pickup a few times recently and there were missing items or skimpy serving sizes EVERY SINGLE TIME. Check your order before leaving, but be warned that you will get dirty looks from the man who I believe is a manager there (didn't catch his name). Items were also packed horribly with the food all mixed together rather than separated into different containers for different items. Who would place a cornbread muffin topside down on top of a pile of sauced up meat? I guess Famous Dave's figures it's all going to your stomach so why bother having things be presentable? I only went back to use the rest of a gift card I'd received, but there's no way I'd pay full price for anything here and will likely never come back.

Unfilled drink till end.

This place went down hill past decade. We went into order famous feast for 2, and it was just going downhill starting serving our drinks. Our server was Theresa P, and she was horrible. NO REFILLS of any water or beverages ENTIRE SHIFT!!!!!! We had to ask another server at the kitchen to get our drinks filled. She will not checkup on us, but she was spending astronomical time on the other table. I assume the server Theresa P know them in person?? Food was horrible. It was MICROWAVED/REHEATED that it will turn cold within 5-7 minutes upon serving!! Seems like management did not care when I mentioned it.

The two on the left are good.

The food here is so good, and the staff is even more amazing. It's very homely, not a big chain and it definitely shows. Everyone is so nice, smiles all around and it's an all around feel good place. They have the breakfast staples but also some specials that are creative and delicious! We've had nutella crepes, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito (which is massive!) and a special of the day - strawberry cheesecake waffle. All the ingredients come together perfectly and melts in your mouth! The one thing you HAVE to get is the cinnamon roll. Eat it while it's hot and gooey, you won't regret it! Next time I'm going to get the Salted Caramel Cinnamon roll. On Friday and Saturday they are open until 8 pm so you can enjoy them if you're unable to make it during the lunch hours!

Then the waitress said she took off the pie. When we got to the counter to pay, they kept telling us we owed almost the same amount without the pie and 10.00 off. Come to find out, she charged for pie that we didn't get. We had to get the manager and we were told that we said things that we didn't. All because we didn't want their "free" pie. Jennai recommended so many tasty things we cannot refuse - except for goat cheese - not her fault but my own. We had a couple bottles and a couple food options. Mimosas and Bloody Marys were both decent, nothing spectacular, which was fine. We ordered 4 Bruschetta Boards, a Classic Remix, a What The French, a Kids Grilled Cheese, and a Kids "Picnic". All meals were excellent, served hot, and of a perfect size. Everything was consumed at the restaurant. The Classic Remix consisted of scrambled eggs, homemade tater tots, and sausage. The tots were crispy and the sausage was mild. The What the French was torn up pieces of French toast covered with a honey based sauce. The Bruschetta Boards provided a full assortment of the items offered. The favorite was the Sweet & Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese. The kids enjoyed their meals as well. The Picnic is nice as it's just sliced chicken, grapes, and apples. They ate it all! We finished with two orders of Donut Dots which is donut holes that are deep fried a little longer to make them a little crispy in a good way. Dipping sauces are provide; chocolate, vanilla, and carmel. Great service was provided by Aleia and supported by other staff members. A return trip is definitely needed.

The diner itself is clean and it's bright inside, with lots of decorations, and it's a fun 50s/60s themed diner. The server was fine, she checked in on us periodically. We ordered our food and asked if we could order our milkshakes. They said that they had just cleaned up the milkshake machine and that it's out for the night. They close at 9 and nowhere online does it say that they close the machine done around 6. We mainly came here for a milkshake, so it was a bit disappointing. I overheard the waitresses playing a would you rather game. They asked would you rather make milkshakes all night or work on silverware? They all laughed and decided silverware would be the way to go. I get that making milkshakes may be time consuming and annoying, but it's a diner. I'm wondering if they just didn't want us to order any milkshakes and told us it was closed for the night. We decided that we would order a different dessert at the end of our meal. But before we were even finished eating, a check was put on our table. I do not plan on coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Seating for 6 at best and mostly a counter and a kitchen. Is this in a location that is just a little unexposed to drive by traffic, yes. It is off Sheridan and 10th Ave between apartment buildings and houses not what you expect. As I drove up to the location it is in a building with an off brand convenience store and a dry cleaners with no other businesses nearby. It's not real inviting from the exterior or even the interior as far as that goes. This is a classic case of " don't judge a book by It's cover " or you'll be missing out on a real gem for customer service and tasty eats. We were greeted upon arrival by a very pleasant lady behind the counter. We took one of the three small empty tables and studied the menu. You order at the counter and most of the customer traffic while we were there was Doordash type orders and the to go orders were steady. My son ordered three tacos and a bottle of Coke. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon as the protein and smothered with green chili. This is rare but my son raved about the tacos, not just that they were good. He stated that he would definitely be returning to repeat the experience. He said he could taste every ingredient used to make his tacos. My breakfast burrito was very tasty, every ingredient was cooked to my expectation. The eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy but not burnt and the hash browns cooked to perfection. The star of this dish for me was the green chili that smothered an already delicious breakfast burrito. We both agreed this was one of the best lunches we have enjoyed over the years. Don't be put off by the location or the exterior, its worth a visit. The service was good, food was excellent, the place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I don't know the story behind this restaurant but I hope going forward they get good business demand because good food and good service should be appreciated. In the last three or more years service has certainly declined and good food is harder to find at reasonable prices. I will be back when I am in the area to try other dishes and my son who lives not too far away says it is his new taco place. I would invite other Yelper's to give it a try.

I like that the menu is constantly changing, so I can always try something new. There are usually a few staples, too. The tacos are priced reasonably so you can try several flavors. Every now and then there's one I don't like as much as the others, but that doesn't ruin the experience. The ramen is priced well for the amount you get, too. The only thing I consistently haven't liked is their guacamole. But I do like their avocado and salsas. They have a decent happy hour and, recently added, a "taco Tuesday." The kids menu options are pretty good, too. The hot dogs are a hit. Sometimes the buttered noodles are, too. The tiki drinks are great fun, and they're always trying something new. In the past, they've put lemonades in fun cups (like the hedgehog cup) so our kids can enjoy a "fancy drink." The service is pretty fast and consistent. So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen.
