Dave's to us always signified good food so we were excitedly to see Dave's here in Branson landing . Big mistake. Food was lukewarm and my meat was actually cold. Flavor was there in the sauces but with the chili and meat and loaded baked potato it was almost tasteless you couldn't melt any butter on the corn muffin either. Fries were lukewarm. Service was not great either. Waitress did not come by once to ck on us or to offer refills. She offered the refill with our bill. She was not interested in us at all. So why did we not send our food back because of the long wait we had getting it and we were extremely hungry. Needless to say we will not be eating at famous Dave's again and I do not recommend anyone else doing so especially at this location. read more

Went with a party of 7 adults and 4 kids under 7. The food was good and we were able to split the special among 4 people and still have enough to bring home. Great flavors. Would certainly eat there again. Not enough veggie options, though. read more

We ate here on a Sunday evening, and they were under staffed. We were looking forward to their wild rice soup. The waitress brought it and took off. It was warm not hot. She didn't return so we dealt with it. when She finally came back we asked for the cornbread that was supposed to come with it also. She brought it and took off again. We didn't receive butter with it (maybe that does not come with it). We had to wait and wait for our check. And even worse than all of this, a male employee was in the restroom at the same time as I. Hello, my name is Beth Bristow and tonight was the first time we have eaten at the Famous Dave's in Springfield, Missouri. I am looking at the food receipt and the number of the restaurant is #3198, located at 4406 S. Campbell Ave, Springfield, Missouri 65810. Todays date is September 15, 2018. Usually I enjoy Bar-Be-Que and looked forward to trying Famous Dave's food. However, my experience with the food I ordered this evening was really, really bad. My hamburger was the worst I have ever had served in a restaurant. I ordered it to be medium cooked, and the burger I received was charcoal black and so hard I could not bite into it. I finally used a knife to cut the burger and the pieces were still so hard that I could hardly chew them. There was a burned taste rather than a smoked meat taste. I finally gave up on it and asked for a take-home box. I brought it home and fed the entire thing to my dogs. I will never ever again eat at Famous Dave's place. This experience left a really bad impression on both me and my husband who also had a burger that wasn't as badly burned as mine was however he said it was far more cooked than 'medium' should be. All in all, it was a terrible experience and I will not ever go to Famous Dave's again nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. Folks, you really let me down and it was a crash landing. The restaurant was immaculate. The staff was super friendly. The food was amazing. The ribs were the best we have ever eaten. We went in December and it was cold and windy but the restaurant was warm, cozy and inviting. We should have eaten there more than once during our stay. read more

Food was very good. Several of my party ordered baked potatoes from the lunch menu. It took over 35 minutes to get our food, in which a couple of the potatoes were harder to mash and chunky, indicating a frozen and rewarmed potato. This wait would have been understandable if there were a full house or if the baked potatoes were all cooked from scratch, but some obviously were not. This combined with the fact that we specifically asked for no sour cream and instead got a very generous slathering of it, having to then wait another 20 minutes, brings them down 3 stars. read more

One of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant. Though I did order and finish the "Big slab" (whole rack of ribs) and they were amazing and their corn bread muffins are awesome! Some of the other people in my party had their Biscuit though and did not like it but they also agreed their ribs were amazing. Bottom like, if you go here. I love the burnt ends and Wilbur beans. They also have the best bread pudding. You can sit with a view of Taneycomo. We also called in an order from our boat and parked at the little dock out front to get it. How great is that! read more

We stopped in here on a Sunday evening around 6:30 pm. We had a group of 11 and upon arriving the party of 2 in front of us were told they would have a 15 to 20 minute wait. When we said we had 11 we were told it would be 45 min to an hour. Now I can understand not being able to accommodate a party that size quickly, except for the fact the restaurant was empty! We only saw a couple of occupied tables and dozens of empty ones. We had the feast for 2. The chicken was fresh and really good (Something that was not good the first time we went) The ribs, and pulled pork were good. The macaroni and cheese is really good, it has jalapeño in it which gave it a little kick. Our only compliant is that the corn was a little over-cooked. Clean establishment with a friendly staff. The food was delivered quickly and was hot and fresh. The cornbread is delicious! I sampled ribs, chicken, brisket, and pork. They were all pretty good. The fries were good as well, an interesting cut. All came at a decent price. Recommend! read more

Ducked into this place during a rain storm and decided to have dinner. The decor is neat and the view off the back porch is very pretty. The brisket and ribs that we had were very good. I agree with the others that the cornbread muffin was great. The manager visited our table a couple of times just to make sure everything was fine. I would definitely return. read more

The quality of our food was the only saving grace of our experience here. Our waiter was only on his second day so I'm trying to cut them a little slack. 3 out of 5 of our orders were wrong. The staff was great about trying to fix the problem. I was surprised at the small portions of meat for dinner considering the cost. Once the right food arrived most of it was cold. The ribs were tender and tasted good but they were a spare rib so you have to eat around the cartilage. The brisket and chopped pork were the shining light in this dim experience. They were both moist and tender with great flavor. With an experienced waiter, and lower expectations of portion size, this could have easily been 4 stars. read more

First visit for us...the flavor of the food was very good!! We sampled each others food (yes we are those people} The burgers and boneless chicken were awesome and so full of flavor. I had the chicken ceasar salad..the chicken was grilled just right and also full of flavor ...salad needed more dressing for my liking and they were quick to bring me more. I used to go to this Famous Dave's a lot but hadn't in a while. My experience today left a lot to be desired. They had changed the taste of a lot of their items (and none for the better). Not to mention their prices went up while their portions went down. Overall I think I will be taking my business and appetite elsewhere. read more

The pulled pork sandwich was so salty and fatty it was inedible and the potato salad was bland.

Mediocre food, the hot links were good. My main complaint was the service. We had a good waiter but the poor guy was taking care of the entire building. No refils, only seen him a couple times. Again, not his fault but definitely reflects on the restaurant. Won't be back. read more

Honestly my experience here was awful. I ordered a BYOB (Build Your Own BBQ), and a chicken tenders meal with mac & cheese and fries for my daughter. Immediately when the food came out I was dissapointed. The serving size was small, and my order looked like slop. The only appetizing looking food on my plate was the meat. I took a bite into a pice of lettuce, mind you, my first bite. I felt a hair. I was hugely disgusted when upon taking it out of my mouth I found a long blonde hair wrapped inside and around that piece of lettuce!!!! I WAS DISGUSTED! I knew it was not mine, and I just wanted nothing more to do with it. I told my waitress what happened and gave her my plate. My daughter went ahead and ate her tenders, but she commented that her macaroni was "disgusting". She told me she was actually looking forward to the macaroni and cheese, but was very dissapointed to find out after already ordering that it was filled with chopped up jalepenos and corn. When you order mac and cheese, who even expects to get that in it? Also, the sides for her meal were very small, and this was a full meal, not a kids meal. We were just very dissapointed, and the food and portion size was not worth the price. The manager took my meal off of the bill, which was probably the only great thing that happened there. Our waitress was kind, but overall I am very dissapointed. I do not think I will be returning again. This place is just over-rated entirely. read more
