Good place to fill up my favorite is the burnt ends and catfish fingers both are to die for, they usually have the best sweet tea but this trip is was kinda lacking, the muffins they have you'll want about 40 of they are so good. We ate lunch at Famous Dave's in Branson last Monday after waiting for 55 min in a resturant with maybe people at 5 other tables we were finally served with some of the poorest food I've ever had in my 66 years, 2 orders of rim tips, 1 order of brisket all cold, fries and all we had 1 order of nachos and the cheese must have just been taken out of the fridge, my Grandson had a cheeseburger that was so well done he couldn't eat it. I've ate in a lot of BBQ places and this was bad. The only thing Famous Dave's is Famous for in my book is bad food and poor service. But in there defense the manager did comp 1/2 the bill which was OK although everyone in our party ate about a 1/4 of there food, needless to say I paid the bill apologized to the people in our party and won't be going to Famous Dave's again read more

They told maskless people (during COVID) to leave without any alternative for them cause they left their masks in their car. Waiter didn't come by and refill waters and was a little short with us. Food was okay. The burnt tips we got we're good but the sides we're underwhelming. Also people waiting for online orders are waiting a really long time. Like 15-20 minutes. read more

Loved it! I'm a huge BBQ fan - lived near Kansas City while growing up along with Memphis. They had several sauces to try, I happened to like them all. The hubs and I got the two person platter. We like to eat & we aren't small people...and it was plenty for us and maybe another person depending on your hunger level (we were about a 7 out of 10). The cornbread was so delicious that I asked for more to go (but it is crumbly mess - so don't eat it in the car). Brisket was my fav, followed closely by the smoked chicken, then the coleslaw, and fries. I wasn't a big fan of the pork ribs, but they weren't bad either. I was expecting some hot pickles or something...considering their store items, but they weren't a part of the meal. Bummer. Service is great too. There was a 20-min wait. We had a party of 7 with two hangry kids. Got seated right away, got our drinks right away. The food however wasn't good. I had a baked potato and salad which all came together. My food would have been fine but it was cold. So was my sons. Only one of us had hot food. We should have returned it, but we were all hungry. Chicken Tenders Platter!!!! Yes I know this is a bbq restaurant but, the chicken tenders are delicious. Now let's discuss the bbq. My favorite at this Famous Dave's would have to be the burnt ends. Hands down the best brunt ends I have ever had. Tender pieces of Texas Beef Brisket seared and caramelized with Sweet & Zesty® BBQ sauce. Served with Onion Strings, jalapeño pickled red onions and spicy Hell-Fire Pickles on the side. Amazing. My wife enjoyed The Manhandler Sandwich. Texas Beef Brisket or Georgia Chopped Pork piled high with Hot Link Sausage and spicy Hell-Fire pickles. She choose the beef brisket. She cannot stop talking about how much meat was on it. Would recommend taking your money ELSEWHERE to spend. The managers are very rude. My brother who is 23 took a drink from my dads rum punch and the manager came over and told my dad that he is going to have to take the drink away and said it in the most disrespectful manner. I told him that he is 23 and he left and came back with a bunch of fake apologys. Was a very lame attempt at saying sorry! The food could be cooked better. Ribs were full of fat and the wings are really dry. You guys need to step it up! And get better customer service because we were not pleased with any of it. We have gone to Famous Dave's on the strip twice and both times it has been awful. The best thing I can say about this place is the waitress was very nice when she brought out our order to the car. I ordered the pork sandwich and it was dry and hard to chew. I ended up only taking two bites before throwing it away. My husband got ribs which were chewy and dry and coleslaw was bland. My son had the sassy chicken salad which he said was good. So if all your wanting is salad it's OK, but for bbq there are several better places in town. A waste of good money read more

Thankful they were open with an obviously limited staff. My to-go order took awhile to prepare, but the "Man Handler"(?) sandwich and loaded baked potato tasted as if they had been made the day before. At least they got the order right, and if I'd got it the day before, I might have only given them a 3 star rating. The quality of the beef and 3 thin sausage slices were just not good. Got the burnt ends appetizer which about 1/2 of it was good the other 1/2 was grisly and yuck, the whole thing was over cooked. First off let me start off by saying, we had reservations for 15 at the Branson Landing location and as soon as we walked into the door, they were ready to seat us... This is a first for our family and boy were we happy. When we sat down, the bar tender was our waiter so we got some great drinks recommended to us. We were passing around margarita moonshine drinks with steak seasoning around the rim, Big Mommas Punch, Mudslides, Beer, etc... ( You know the drill when you have been on the lake all day and are ending a family vacation ;) ) . I ordered a mudslide that was not on the drink menu and let's just say that Mommas Punch was WAY better! For dinner, I got a 1/2 slab of ribs with fries, mac and cheese, and a corn muffin. The ribs were sweet and delicious with a little tug give way to them (the best way to have a rib). The sauce was good, but I do enjoy a bit of a sweeter sauce with my pork. This helping was more than enough. The corn muffin was absolutely delicious. The mac and cheese was spicy... yes, weird I know but it had jalapenos, corn, and some bacon in it... Delicious but a little too spicy for me. The staff was very friendly there and accommodating to our large group. The view of course is one of our favorites of the lake! I should have read the reviews! The establishment was relatively clean and my waitress was friendly. Waitress was a little slow and she kelp giving us unsweetened tea instead of sweet tea. I ordered a BBQ baked potato and was sadly disappointed. The pork was bland and hard. I love these potatoes at other restaurants but this was the worse I had. Great for kids with a menu adapted and gifting crayons so that you can order while they doodle. 2 choices of seating for kids booster and high chair. Love it. I recommend their feast platter. Wow! I went here with my boyfriend and daughter and we got the medium sized family platter. It has a little bit of everything. All the meat was delicious and tasted fresh. All the sides were so amazing! Our waitress was super nice and did a great job keeping our drinks filled and providing great service. The atmosphere was very cool and you can sit where you can see the water inside or outside. There are lots of bbq sauces to try. I would put this place #1 restaurant during our trip to Branson. This place is something we look forward to when coming to Branson. The food is always delicious and the top-shelf margarita is one of the best margaritas we've had and is only $7.99. In general, we are big fans of Famous Dave's. This location was a bit lacking. The biggest issue was the quality of the food. I ordered brisket with a salad and potato. The brisket was completely dried out. It was helped a lot by their bbq sauce but not much. The salad was okay-- pretty simple with limited toppings. The "loaded baked potato" was the part of the meal that was the most lacking. It had a tiny bit of bacon-- maybe a teaspoon and the same of cheese and sour cream. It was also very hard. Others in our party had similar feedback on the food. Just not that great. The service though was really good, especially given we were a party of 12. Famous Dave's is generally pretty good. This location just needs to focus more on the outcomes in the kitchen. read more

Stopped in for dinner while traveling. I've been to a Famous Dave's in TN, and was pleasantly surprised by the 'que there, especially for a chain restaurant. I often have all kinds of reasons to NOT like chain barbeque, but Famous Dave's delivered solid ribs and brisket, along with tasty sides. Had the same meal in Bloomington, IL, just few days before my Branson visit, and was pleased to find is as consistently good as my TN experience. I've had better barbeque at local places, but I've certainly had worse. If you're traveling and don't have time to search on the best local 'que, Famous Dave's is a pleasant surprise, and a good bet for a tasty meal. The Branson location is convenient, right along the square, and we were able to sit outside with a view of the river. I got a lunch portion of ribs and brisket and was very full by the end. I can't so five because it's a chain that lacks what you just can't get in a big restaurant, when you like them small mom and pa restaurants, but that considered, we had SUCH an enjoyable experience and loved the yummy choices of BBQ sauces. I enjoy FDB and have visited many of their establishments. This venue is no different. Great service and excellent food preparation. The location is near the river, close to many shops. Walked in was told it would be an hr wait for 8ppl, that's fine we waited after an hour they said another 10minutes. When we finally got seated took our server 15minutes to come get our drink order once we got our drinks she finally took out app order (fried pickles) said they would be out before our food no biggie by this time there was maybe 30ppl in the dining room total with 4 servers and one being trained. We waited an hour for our appetizer to be brought out, shortly after that we received our food. Mind you we had 5 kids orders and two of the pick 2 meat platter and one brisket sandwich. Not complicated at all. Our waitress was the worst. She would walk by like she never saw us waiting for her to come back and check drinks or ask if we needed boxes. We had to go to the main counter and ask the lady up there to go in the back and get our waitress we were ready to leave by that time we had been there a total of 3hrs with the 1hr wait time! They were not busy when we were seated and even when we left there was around 25ppl in there. This was the worst service we have experienced while in branson! read more

Stopped by after golf today and wasn't very crowded. Service was terrible and food was average. Waited 10 minutes to even get someone to wait on us. If you have been to a Famous Dave's before and liked it, you won't be disappointed. If anything, it is slightly better than the others I have tried in California. The ribs were very flavorful; perhaps a bit spicier and smokier, which I liked. The chicken was similarly excellent. The service was quite good and we were very well attended. We were asked if we needed anything at least 4 times, well above the norm! All in all, we were quite pleased and did not regret trying a local establishment that might have a different approach. read more

I feel your confused stares. Why on earth are you reviewing a chain restaurant...it's managed to become a chain...obviously they're doing something right!!! WRONG. Every chain has its flaws. Every location has its flaws. How are they supposed to know what they're doing wrong, or right, if someone doesn't tell them? That's where I come in. *wink wink* We were seated right away and shown the restrooms as we passed, (awkward, but thanks for the info! The giant sign didn't give it away...or the fact that we walked straight past the sign and hallway...) and were seated in a roomy booth. Our server, was of course "Famous Ashley." (She's the only reason I decided to write a review.) She's awesome. She's Famous Ashley after all. I ordered sweet tea with creamer, and the blessed waitress Famous Ashley didn't bat an eye at how weird that was. (I love sweet tea with cream. It's like milk tea!) She earned brownie points for that alone. I ordered the Jack 'N' Stacked, a hamburger topped with brisket, jack cheese, and crispy onion strings, along with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The hamburger was amazing. Nice and juicy, and the charred fat created a wonderful texture beneath the melted jack cheese! The meat was extremely flavorful and well seasoned. Once I put all the fixin's on, (lettuce, tomato, and hell fire pickles) plus the yummy crispy onions...I was in heaven!!! And then....there were the garlic mashed potatoes. There's garlic mashed potatoes....and then there's "here, let me slap you in the face with some garlic" mashed potatoes. These potatoes slapped me in the face. And don't get me wrong. I LOVE garlic. But holy cow take it easy on my poor mouth!!! Not so great potatoes. My friend had the lunch plate, with brisket, broccoli and a cornbread muffin. The brisket was incredibly moist--which is saying something when it comes to brisket. It was also well seasoned, and probably about 6 oz of meat. The broccoli was al-dente--perfectly steamed. The cornbread...which is always my favorite part of Famous Daves....wasn't cooked all the way through. In the picture above you can see a little crater in the middle of the muffin. That was all raw, right down through the center of the muffin. People--watch yo' muffins. They may just be undercooked and you will live in disappointment for the rest of the evening. read more

Sure. It's a chain BBQ place. But as chain BBQ places go...this one was pretty decent. No, this place will not replace your favorite home town, pitmaster, local legendary bbq joint. But in a touristy location in Branson it was a nice choice for a bite and a beer. Several varieties of sauce available on the table. There weren't any that were truly bad. Just take a little taste of each and choose which one best suites you. I liked the Texas Pit and the Sweet and Zesty. The Devil's Spit was my least favorite. I tried the brisket only. It was tender and had a decent slow cooked smoke ring. A large serving of the meat, no gristle, but they put the meat on your bread. And then they put sauce on it to bring to your table? No No No. Do not sauce your meat before it arrives in front of me. You have ruined my white bread and given me sauce I may not like. Decent, but limited, beer selection. Boulevard beers and your regular national labels. Loved the cole slaw and for a change of pace I had some mac and cheese. Creamy, cheesy little elbows. The cornbread muffins everyone raves about were...well...cornbread muffins. The noise level was easy on the ears. The booths were huge and with the high backs a good conversation with your dining companion was doable. Service from our "Famous" waiter was super friendly, on point and quick. We got seated immediately...they have inside and outside seating. Outside faces the water. You bet I'd go back. It's down in the touristy waterfront and the walk from the Bass Pro parking lot can be a bit of a haul. But you'll likely need the walk back to your car after a big ol' meal anyway. read more

Awesome awesome awesome place! The vibe was super inviting and our waiter "famous Greg" was absolutely amazing. The one downfall I was slightly disappointed about was the "hot link" that I ordered wasn't what I thought it was going to be and it wasn't "hot" at all. My husband got rib tips that were to die for. Our waiter also brought out House chips for us to sample the 6 sauces they have to offer. We loved sweet n sassy and the devils pit which was supposed to be spicy but really wasn't but still good. Wilbur's Revenge is the most spiciest it literally had my nose running but it was really good! The fries were also amazing and let's not forget the sweet corn, corn muffins, and the oh so different but very appetizing mac n cheese. I also tried the smoked Long Island iced tea, rum punch, and spiked strawberry lemonade which were all very tasty. I highly recommend!
