Random one-star reviews for this place notwithstanding, we had an excellent time here. No issues with mosquitoes or bad attitudes. Just impressive food, drinks, and atmosphere. We made a reservation for a Friday night. We were seated inside, in their room that overlooks the harbor, with a great view because of the wall-to-wall windows. We both ordered seafood pasta dishes. My scallops piccata required just a touch of salt to be perfect; the scallops really were perfectly done and the pasta had absorbed the olive oil. The chardonnay and veltliner I ordered were excellent. I think it's just amazing to see a veltliner varietal outside of a winery! We were tempted and ordered dessert, and it turned out this was the right move. Such indulgent, rich confections of gooey, sweet, creamy dimensions. I got the tiramisu, which was not too sweet and stuffed up and down with refreshing cream and rich chocolate. I got an espresso martini to match it and it was the perfect capping aperitif. And throughout the meal the staff kept up with us expertly and quickly. Somehow everything happened with perfect timing despite it being the height of dinner service on a Friday night. Holy mother of God, this place is incredible. I rolled my eyes at first because when it comes to Italian restaurants, I can throw freaking rock in the air and it can land on one. But this place seems to raise the bar even higher than what I expected. All the food was fantastic, staff was quick and friendly, and it's right in the middle of Skippack. The only negative to this place is the noise level, which I attributed to the 10 drunk idiots sitting at the next table who were drinking enough wine to kill a woolly mammoth. read more

Don't overlook this just-out-of-town option! The views are of the bay, NBD, but the service and food are top notch. We had the Cajun Seafood Alfredo which was SCRUMPTIOUS. Scallops, shrimp, lobster, linguine, asparagus, onion, garlic all perfectly cooked and swimming along in a Cajun Alfredo sauce which I am still not sure is a thing but really should be. We also had the burnt ends, which my brilliant husband turned into a BBQ sandwich by requesting a hamburger bun on the side, and the waiter, while perplexed, was extremely happy to oblige. The Cesar salad was classic and crisp. Prices reasonable (take that in the context of Provincetown in July) and the only complaint I had was with the diners next to me who laughed too loud (could be worse). We loved it. We only wish we had some room left for desserts because that bread pudding looked pretty fantastic over with the loud laughers. read more

Beyond great! Went to Fanizzi's last night with friends from off-Cape who are already fans. Marinated steak tips, rare, with dirty mashed potatoes and a nice portion of asparagus [al dente] was an out-of-the park home run. My friends had the steak tips cooked medium (and raved about them) and the Chicken Parmesan. All ended up taking some home and raving about the quality of the meal and the whole experience on the water. I love this place! read more

"Fan of Fanizzi's"! I will be back to this well run "on the water" eatery in Provincetown's east end. My grilled salmon with dill sauce was terrific, and my partner loved their chicken piccata (raved about it for days as a matter of fact). The view from our table was super! Overall, the food was good, although the crab cakes were terrible (like hush puppies with zero crab). The view was wonderful. The only service issue we had is the same issue we had in every restaurant in Ptown--the service starts off great, then the food shows up, and at that point you can't find a waiter to save your life. Your water won't be refilled, you can't possibly order another drink, salt? nevermind, and you will wait for at least 20 minutes for the check. This place saved us last week as we searched for a place that had a menu that interested us and wasn't booked for the rest of the night. We sat in the lounge and had great service from Billy (I think that's the name) who was also bar tending. Fun guy. We needed to sit, relax and enjoy a drink first then we split the mussels in a great broth and scallops with rice and veggies. Fresh rolls were tasty. One point off for the tiny size of the mussels and complete lack of sear on the scallops tho they tasted good. Glad we needed up there. read more

This is the place you want to go to. They have a fabulous lunch menu, parking, exceptional views. My kids were welcomed which is a plus (they had crayons and highchairs). My family and I have been coming here for our annual trips to Ptown for the past 5 years. Service has always been pleasant and friendly. Of all the dishes we've had, none have disappointed so far. Prices are a little high but worth it for the large portions. I recently tried their Italian sausage gumbo as it was the soup of the day. The flavor and saltines was satisfying, I just wish there was some form of starch added. The scallops were also flavorful and the string beans had a nice crunch to them. Crab cakes were a little wetter than I'd prefer them to be but still not bad. My family seemed to enjoy their burger, chicken piccata and chicken Parmesan dishes as well. Sis and I had lunch at Fanizzi's with our cousins last Friday. We arrived in mid-afternoon (2:15 pm) for our lunch date and we were seated straight away as it was sort of between the lunch and dinner hours. We were seated in the room overlooking the harbor and on this beautiful sunny afternoon it was a perfect setting. Upon being seated we were greeted by our server and placed an order for drinks (two mimosas, a Cosmo, and a Harpoon UFO.) When the drinks arrived we place our lunch order: a fried clam plate, a fried clam roll, three chowders and a fish and chips. Regarding my order, the fried clam plate, I can state with assurance, Fanizzi's fried clams are the best fried clams I have ever eaten! There's something special in the way the clams are prepared here--I suspect it is butter--that makes them melt in your mouth (in addition to being super fresh.) Everybody seemed pleased with their selections, though the three who ordered the chowder noted the clams to potato ratio was tilted in the potatoes favor, and the chowder tasted too salty. Fanizzi's is my favorite place to dine in Provincetown and I try to make it a point to visit every time I'm down the Cape, regardless of where I'm staying. A few things to note: Fanizzi's is open year-round, the service is good--the staff is always welcoming and friendly, they have a full bar and the cocktails are well-crafted, they have a small parking lot and there is street parking all around the restaurant. Fanizzi's is a popular spot (while we were there between lunch and dinner, the place was fairly-well filled with afternoon diners) I would recommend making a reservation for dinner. On our last night of a great week long visit to Provincetown. my friends and I chose to have dinner at Fanizzi's. We were seated outside on what seemed to be a nice breezy evening and were met with a swarm of mosquitoes eating us alive before our apps arrived. There were no citronella or other mosquito deterrents to be seen and on a Friday evening no other seating accomodations for is to be moved inside to escape the barrage of mosquitoes. While our waitress Tia was wonderful the I don't give a shit attitude of the manager was not. Apparently trying to prevent West Nile Virus and to ensure the customers have a pleasant dining experience is NOT a priority at Fanizzi's. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. In response to the owners snotty comment: Wow, talk about an unprofessional, dick response from a "business" owner. No "I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience" or "we would love to have you back to try and make a better first impression" ? Just snippy, defensive, unprofessional conduct. What did you treat your outdoor patio with - yards of mosquito eggs? If covid wasn't bad enough ( especially recently in P-Town) now your customers have to legitimately worry about west Nile after dozens of bites and you couldn't give two shits apparently. Funny how NONE of the other restaurants we ate this past week have this issue except for yours. When businesses are struggling in a post covid world especially in a resort town. Every possible safety and comfort option should be made to keep your customers SAFE and able to enjoy their time there. If it were not for Tia I would have rated a NEGATIVE star if I could. We have been traveling to Provincetown for YEARS and have never stopped here. We received a recommendation from locals who highly recommended it and I looked at the menu and reviews and decided I would surprise my husband with a new place to try on his birthday-which was a risky move rather than visiting our favorites. I stopped in as I wanted to take a peek of the place before making the reservation and the owner was there and helped tremendously making my reservation. We returned later that night for drinks and dinner. And WOW!!!! We were BOTH blown away. Best meal we have ever had in Provincetown!!!!! The view is the best in town, we were able to watch the sunset. The food was insanely delicious and spot on!!! I ordered the fish fry and a side salad ( I am a picky eater) and it was the best fish fry I've had I'm my life. The salad was amazing too. Just a basic salad but again it was so fresh and the dressing was excellent. My husband ordered a seafood pasta and he LOVED it. The drinks and the service were also fantastic. To top off our superb experience they made his birthday extra special. When I made the reservation I asked them to bring out a molten lava cake for him but they made it extra special with a fun candle and singing near! I couldn't believe it! Drinks: Mai Tai's made the original way!!! And large! Desert house made Key Lime pie.... Lovely! I would have loved a bigger piece. The Tiramisu was large enough to share and we could not finish it!! It's definitely seafood centric which we love, and enjoy: like mussels, shrimp cocktail, mustard nut crusted cod, fried fish, fried clams, and various other seafood delights. But other delicious option include chicken parmigean, chicken piccata, scallop Alfredo, braised short rib, and more. There's a nice bar and cocktail menu to enjoy. We always have great service by the servers, the hosts/hostesses and appreciate their friendly service. Reservations are recommended as they are always busy. Fanizzi's has been our go to spot in Ptown when we want good Italian. Sadly, the menu seems to have pivoted away from the Italian fare that made it a go to for us. The only real Italian was either piccata or parmigiana. Not even a meatball. The food and service were good quality as expected (hence the three stars) but we will be looking elsewhere for our Italian moving forward. read more

This is definitely one of the must-try restaurants in P'town. It's a bit out of the main flow of things down towards the east end of town, so tends to be less busy than other places. Consequently a more pleasant dining experience is almost guaranteed. The service was excellent, the ambiance is chilled and there are nice views out to sea. Instantly relaxing! We both ordered the swordfish steaks, and I have to say this is without doubt the best-cooked swordfish I've ever tasted. Just enough bite on the outside and almost molten in the centre. Heaven! My only complaint here is that they don't have any Wi-Fi. I almost took a star off the review for that; however we were staying not too far away and for once Yelp allowed me to check in once I got back to our digs - hurrah! The star can stay. :) read more

After a week of delicious meals, we made reservations at Fanizzi's because it had such great reviews. Big mistake. Do not dine outdoors at this restaurant unless you want West Nile Virus. Management needs to do something to control the mosquito population because my friends and I got eaten alive, even while wearing bug repellent. We couldn't even get through our appetizers -- we had to ask for the check. The manager was not helpful and wouldn't move our table inside -- and tables were available because he seated walk-ins (we actually had a reservation). Do yourself a favor and dine at an establishment that actually cares about its customers. read more
