One star for convienant location. - the lady is always on her phone when I come in. I agree with the other comments regarding the unorganized store. It could look better at least where the customers can see. - ive brought in blouses w stains and she marked where they were. She was unable to get them out. I tried the lady over a block and a half & she has been able to get out every stain ive brought in! So unfortunately I no longer bring my blouses in to this dry cleaners. read more

I am seeing a few nasty reviews about Fantastic Cleaners. This is a tiny neigborhood dry cleaning business. And yes the little location is a bit messy and the lady that owns Fantastic Cleaners owns two small dogs. But I applaud her for loving her pets and letting them walk up and down Sacramento street. But when she calls they know where to return. This gives the place real quaint Mr Roger's kind of character. "Won't you be my neighbor." I guess some people don't appreciate the uniqueness of this little spot. This family dry cleaning operation is helmed by the sweetest Chinese lady. She is almost always smiling and happy to see her customers. Plus she does amazing alteration work. She fixed this Ben Sherman shirt that I bought quickly at Nordstroms cause I liked the nice color of the shirt. Then when I got home and unwrapped the shirt, I noticed that the shirt had french cuffs......Awww, man..... Well I took it to her and we worked out a blue print to fix it back to regular sleeves. Now I get compliments whenever I wear the shirt. Plus she helps me with buttons. And I don't sew buttons. Thank you sweet lady for your all your help with my buttons, making custom alterations, and the walk-in cleaning service. You really are fantastic. read more

So I haven't dropped anything off for cleaning here yet. But the super nice asian lady who runs the place is also repairing and altering clothes at super affordable prices. Exhibit 1: pair of fav jeans, falling apart at a critical seam. She patched them up for $3, I believe. Was so happy that I could wear them a few more times that I had to give her $5. Exhibit 2: had a suit I didn't want to part with yet, but alas the pants seemed to have shrunk somehow around the waist. She widened them for less than $10. Hooray! Next time I'll try the cleaning services. Until then, if anyone has an idea how to get pine resin from decorating a christmas tree out of a light blue hoodie, I'd be all ears. read more

Their work is excellent. Wash and fold can be done in a day and comes out great. The dry cleaning is perfect and also very quick. The prices are competitive if not better than any place in the area. The service is great, very nice lady and well behaved dogs. With all that being said, I've stopped by here multiple times on the way to work to drop things off or pick things up and there will be the sign, "back in 15 minutes." Not a big deal, but now I have to walk home and drop off my stuff, turn back around and walk to work. I just walked four blocks for no reason and am now running late. After this happens to you multiple times you have no choice but to change dry cleaners. Sorry Fantastic. read more

My one experience here wasn't HORRIBLE but wasn't what I expected with all the positive reviews. Fantastic Cleaner is really, really dirty inside (stuff EVERYWHERE) and the owner even has a little dog that runs in and out of the dry cleaning, which seems to defeat the purpose of dry cleaning. I asked her to check out the stains on my blouses and she couldn't even remove one (there were about 6 different blouses with tiny stains), but charged me for working to remove them.... Though reasonably priced, I don't think it's worth the sacrifice of quality to visit Fantastic. read more

No more pairing socks and folding your own T-shirts? FANtastic! I can't believe I spent so long lugging huge sacks of smelly clothes to the laundromat! Hoarding quarters! Arguing with my husband about who's turn it was to go pick the crap up! The husband and wife who run Fantastic Cleaners are ever so sweet. I have not gotten one funny look about the stink that clings to our socks or the disheveled, wadded-up, unsorted mess of a bag I drop off in the morning and pick up that night. They do have two long haired dogs, and yes it is a little cluttered in there, but they take the laundry off site and it comes back smelling sweet as a meadow (even the socks. which, again, they PAIR for you). It comes out at about $50 for two people for two weeks, which is about what you'll spend at a laundromat around here anyway, particularly if you go up the hill to that place where its $2.50 a wash. If you have any particularly shrinkable cotton or any particularly delicate unmentionables you should probably do them by hand, but your regular duds and regular unmentionables will come back just fine, and folded ever so neatly. read more

This is where I get my laundry done. Yes, I'm one of those people who's too stuck up to do their own laundry. Truthfully I'm not sure where the nearest laundromat is located, and I'm not even sure how that whole process works, so I'll probably continue to use wash'n'fold forever and justify it as some kind of offset to all the other hassles of city living (parking, for example). Fantastic Cleaners is close to where I live, so there's 5 stars right there. They have a pretty fast turn-around and a really cute dog to play with while they find your stuff. The price seems par for the course in comparison with other places in the neighborhood. And they've never ruined anything I've ever given them - knock on wood. I'm deducting one star because they only take cash. read more

This is review is just for the Wash & Fold Service. I lived in the same building as Fantastic Cleaner, so it was definitely convenient! However, even if I lived further away I would have continued to go. This place is great! The Chinese lady in front was always friendly! There were never any delays with my laundry...they definitely honored the "same day" service offering. My laundry always came back clean and smelling fresh. My only problem with this place is that they don't always open on time. There are times where they are 10-15 minutes late to open the store. read more

This is one of the worst places to do you dry cleaning. I never took my clothes there, even though it was 2 houses down from my apartment. Walking by it every day from the bus stop, the inside is just a mess and they keep two of their dogs in there as well. My boyfriend brought his clothes in there and his pants went missing. Judging by the utter mess and disorganization of the shop, I wasn't surprised that they lost his pants and lost his ticket. They were very unwilling to compensate for the missing clothing and proceeded to argue with me and blame me for the missing article of clothing! Judging by the dirtiness of the store and having two dogs in there, people who really want their clothes clean and free of allergens should go to Nice N' Clean down the street instead. It's worth the extra couple steps to see a nice smiling professional couple who enjoy what they do, versus the couple running Fantastic Cleaner. read more

I was in 2 weddings over 2 consecutive weekends, and needed alterations done quickly and right the first time. Based on a recommendation from a good friend, I decided to take my dresses here. They completed everything right on time and were very reasonably priced-- about half of what another shop wanted to charge me! I went to both weddings looking fabulous, with dresses fitting pefectly and not tripping down the aisle from the hem being too long. Thanks Fantastic Cleaner! :) After the bridesmaid dresses, I took one of my designer evening gowns for alterations and once again, she did a great job. If you want your expensive clothes destroyed, you should have your cleaning done here! My first time trusting them with my dry cleaning, my designer shirt came back ripped, my French sweater shrunk! They are the worst dry cleaners. I just moved into the neighborhood and needed dry cleaning. NEVER AGAIN!! And worse, they lie and say they didn't do anything. If you do choose to use this dump, take pictures of your clothes in the shop at drop off. Then INSPECT them before walking out the door. They hid these issues from me. Horrible horrible !! read more

I come here to dry clean and get my clothes altered. Connie is always nice and fast. Just let her know when you need it by and she can get it done for you. There was one time I needed my dress altered 2 days before my friends wedding and she got it done for me and helped me get all the wrinkles out without me asking. Put a smile on my face. Fantastic Cleaner is a bit short of Fantastic. They do a fine job with your laundry & dry cleaning, but the place is a total mess and smells like dogs, which is just ironic that you would somewhere like that to *clean* your clothes. Also -- they say they have same day service, but it always takes 2 days. Huh?? Try American Cleaners on Hyde & Washington instead. read more

Connie is fantastic. I needed a dress let out, and fast. I had ordered the dress online with only 3 days to go until the event I was planning to wear it at. I wasn't sure if it would work, but when I got it back, it looked immaculate, like it had been originally sewn that way! She did it in 2 days and charged me half of what another place wanted. Awesome Tailoring... had some tailoring done on Thomas Pink shirts to fit me right... PERFECT FIT.... i only paid fraction of what i paid for the shirt and got a PERFECT fitting shirt...could've saved a lot of money by purchasing no name brand from ROSS and bring it here to make it PERFECT. Fleas! Seriously, they have dogs in the shop and they must have fleas. To our luck (*ha ha*) we also now have them. We've stopped going there, of course, because they also lost clothes. Our neighbors (different building) also reported fleas.... read more

They ruined all of my clothes. When I showed them what did they do to my clothes, they told me they won't take responsibility. They barely speak English. I had to spend more than $250 to buy new clothes. I wouldn't suggest this place even to my enemies. read more

Wash-and-fold scam. Be sure to weigh your laundry yourself. They don't have a scale on premises if you ask them to re-measure when picking up. I usually weigh my laundry on my bathroom scale to get an idea of what I'll be charged. I went home to fetch my scale to prove to them their measurement was off by 10 pounds (it was actually a 25lb batch of laundry, they quoted 35lb). At first I thought it was an honest mistake but then it happened again on a 20lb bag of laundry! I won't be using their services moving forward. read more

Convenient, but a little annoyed with how they refuse to line-dry (air dry) your clothes if you don't want to put it through tumble drying. Instead, I got my wet clothes in a plastic bag..my jeans never dried completely when I hung them up myself at home (because I live in cold SF..yay moldy smelly jeans). Service is quick, but I can't help but feel like Connie is a bit patronizing to me, as if I'm her daughter, I have kind of felt lectured before, not sure if it's just me. The dry cleaning is also quite expensive -- $12 to dry clean a jacket. Won't be returning. read more
