I had a fantastic experience at this location.! I made an appointment for a color, cut and highlights. Sheridan was warm, friendly and incredibly skilled at her craft. I so appreciate her patience, knowledge and her TIME ! I have a lot of hair and a lot of layers. It took a lot of work . But I felt like I made a friend. Came to this location on Saturday 3/27/21 and let me explain the most unreal things happened with my stylist. I've been there before and was seen my Danielle and she did an amazing job!! Made an appointment but Danielle was actually not working that day, so I decided to just come on in. I came in for a touch up and a few foils. Michelle was my stylist this time. Here's what happened... First - Michelle has a great personality corky but pleasant. She started applying the touch up first had color everywhere. Then after started placing her foils, which was odd because she applied the my touch up in about 10 mins. The FASTEST I have ever seen someone do to my hair. I have thick course long Filipino hair. She applied foils grabbed a towel to wipe sections that she doing. About 20 mins later checked my hair used the blow dryer to speed up my foils. Then said it's time to wash out. Never have I ever processed in such a short amount of time. Typically around 45 mins. Washed my hair out we came back to the chair and she rough dried my hair. Upon doing that I could tell something was wrong because she continued to look through it. Then said there was a couple hairs that did not get colored could she cut them out. I said sure. Why did she cut out as if she was thinning out my hair? Wait it gets better, she then took a marker out of her pocket and colored my hair thinking that I could not see nor smell it!! Then told me it's a hair color pen... that smells like a permanent marker?! I come here because it's convenience and right across the street from my house. Also, I am a licensed cosmetologist so I know covering grey should sit a lot longer then 15 to 20 mins. I know we should not be using a marker to cover any mistakes, or cutting out pieces you missed. RECOLOR it! All she said was well next time I know. With someone with 30 plus years of experience you should have known better. There will be no next time!!! It's unfortunate because Daniele actually put the color that she used last in the system. read more

Got my hair cut there yesterday, & I will never be returning. I didn't get the name of the hairdresser but went in wanting a trim to get the transparent tips off. I thought 3 fingers would be a good length but the hairdresser said we would just need to do 2 to get the transparent tips off. She showed me in the mirror how much that would be, we agreed on the length then she started trimming. After she was done I was shocked at the length. I panicked thinking maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me. So I thanked her, paid, & went about my day. But the more time I've had to sit with this hair cut the more I realize it's so short & definitely more than the 2 fingers she originally showed me. I am beyond upset with this haircut. As I said at the beginning I will not be returning. Also called to express my grievances & was told the manager would call me back the next day, but never got a call. I needed the weed on my head to be trimmed. I arrived on the onset of opening and they were having some computer trouble so I had to wait a bit before checking in for a men's haircut. I had a mailer for $9.99 for a wash and a cut so that was good. The lady who cut my hair did a pretty nice job. I passed on the shampoo given I just washed it. Would say that they do chat a lot at this location and the problem was that they would stop doing what they were doing, i.e., cutting hair etc. which would prolong wait for customers. I don't mind small chat but focus on the job at hand. On a good note, my hair or weed on my head did look much better after I left. read more

I stopped by on a Tuesday for a 1/2 inch trim on my medium length straight hair. I was turned away because I didn't have an appointment. This was at 10:00 am. I was told to make an appointment for the next day. There's a sign at the door saying "walk-ins welcome". Right. So I made an appointment (should have gone somewhere else). When I arrived the stylist sat me in the chair for the trim. She didn't even wet my hair! She trimmed it and was done in 3-4 minutes. $35 not including tip. No shampoo, no blow dry, not even wet hair. Never going back. read more

I am extremely disappointed by the managers' lack of understanding of our state and county guidelines for COVID. I called the salon earlier today to discuss payment arrangements for the services I had scheduled for my daughters this afternoon as I am home isolating due to testing positive for COVID over the weekend. My mother-in-law had an appointment as well, so she would be accompanying my children. I was told everything was fine. However, I later received a call from the manager saying she was uncomfortable with the situation. I assumed she meant the payment options, so I told her I'll just have my MIL pay and I'll reimburse her. The manager let me know she felt uncomfortable with them coming in all together. I let the manager know my kids had been in Arizona visiting my MIL and had not been home when I tested positive and began my isolation. I had not seen my family when they returned to San Diego since I was in isolation. Ultimately, the manager canceled my daughters and MIL appointments and asked me to reschedule. I am completely blown away at the ignorance in allowing one's personal bias to supercede our state and county health guidelines for COVID. I will no longer come to this location. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here. I called on a weekday morning knowing it was a long shot to find an appointment for a cut and color. I was understandably turned down from other salons but Danielle was graciously able to fit me in the afternoon. I am so happy with both the haircut and color. She's been one of the few stylist to make me feel pumped on my bangs and also blended the highlights perfectly. Worst salon experience on one if the most important days, my daughters wedding. I called and made an appointment for the same day and requested that my long hair be pulled up on each side and the back curled. When I arrived I was assigned a stylist and she proceeded to brush out my hair and tell me I needed layers put in my hair. She then pointed out that my hair was uneven from my last cut and then started to call over other stylists to show what a crappy haircut I received. It was at this time that I wanted to get io and walk out as it felt very insulting and a waste of my valuable time. I was pretty much out of time and could not go anywhere else and make it to my daughters wedding on time in three hours. I asked her to please start my hair because I needed to leave in 45 minutes. I showed her photos of me with the style I had done the week before. She looked pissed and was still talking about my uneven hair. I actually thought I was being punked. She proceeded to curl my hair and spray it to hold and finish the style. I was shown my look and it looked okay in the back but the top was flat to my head, no lift at all. I proceeded to pay and leave. Two hours later my curls had fallen out and my hair was recurled and sprayed by one of my daughters bridesmaids and the curls lasted all night even in the humid air!! Go figure. Not sure why the stylist, who informed me that she had been there more than 7 years could not pull off a simple up down do that stayed curled ?? I feel like I threw $50 down the toilet. I get my hair cut about three times a year, generally as the season change or when I see my grandma. My last hair cut was the best hair cut I ever had. Seriously the best. I felt like that guy in the "jäger bombs... Muscle milk!!!! Look at my new f*cking haircut" video on YouTube. Look it up. I felt confident and renewed. However, with the yin must come the yang. Take the good with the bad. This hair cut was like the prequel to dumb and dumber, the worst piece of crap proceeding a master piece. I don't usually bash businesses or people who work at them. People are meant to be cherished and we need to be kind to one and other because there is enough evil in this world already. But sometimes people provide a service and it is so historically bad it should be shared. I don't ever know how to tell the stylist what I want. I always say "short on the top and shorter on the sides. I don't style or use product in my hair so I just want something that I can wake up and go with." Sometimes this works. In this case, it failed miserably. Victor Hugo couldn't have written it worse. Like most hair stylist, she was afraid to cut too short. So after the first go around it was still too long and I asked her to do a little more. This is not a problem and it usually happens. At this point I looked at my hair and thought "this is too long, but it is also really bad." I had hope that she was going to turn it around. It didn't happen. During our chit chat she told me she was going to be a Lyft or Uber driver but didn't because she got this job a month earlier. What's crazy to me is that only a month ago she was ready to take a job that anyone with one foot and hand can do and now she's cutting my hair. I should've said "my options right now are molecular chemist or Lyft driver, but I'll probably go with what I'm qualified for." I'm usually quick enough to say these things on the spot but I didn't want to distract her in any way. After she finished her second round of cutting it was even worse. I told her it looked good and got out of there. It's was kind of like when your dad told you to sweep the floor as a little kid, but then sees how bad you are doing at it and then asks you to stop cause you're just spreading the dirt around making the mess worse than before. As I got up to leave, another stylist looked over and said "nice haircut!" Even though she was a middle aged white woman saying it, all I saw was a ten year old bully taunting me. As my Feyonce and I walked through the mall to get back to my car, she was pointing and laughing at me. And then she would see me from a different angle and start laughing harder. But she kept saying "it's not that bad." When someone says that, they are still saying it's bad. But by saying "it's not that bad," they think they're softening the blow. I know it's bad! It looked like I had horseshoe shaped baldness and I stole a toupee off a dead guy with a bigger head. Of course we were supposed to go out to dinner and our dinner plans got moved up a half hour so I didn't have time to get a hat. Upon arrival to the restaurant, I made light of my situation to our friends so they didn't think I lost a bet. I tried making some jokes but I was mortified and couldn't think that fast. But my friend did have a good laugh at my expense. He said he had a bad day and needed it so... Silver linings. As we were saying our goodbyes, my friend hugged me and whispered "please fix your hair." Anyways, I bought a $16 hair cutting kit from TJ Maxx, which is $7 cheaper than the haircut, and had my Feyonce fix my hair. So all is well. Would consider returning. read more

I had to go in to have Danielle fix a screw up by another stylist at this salon. It was very brassy!! It was blonde and orange in the middle and on the sides. I left a message for the stylist who did this. I said I paid 203 dollars for it to now look orange. This stylist did not return my call and I had to call again. I I do feel the woman who fucked it up should have sucked up the cost for fixing it and should have been held accountable to fix it. It should not have to fall in someone else's lap to fix what they fucked up. I can only imagine how stressful that is to try to fix someone else's fuck up.I spoke to the woman in charge and she set me up with Danielle. Danielle explained everything she was doing and even asked for my input. She was very kind. She explained she would have to go dark to get rid of the brassiness. I am embarrassed by how my how turned out. I recieved a cut by Pat. I asked for long and soft layers and walked out with a short chunky layer on my right side and a long soft layer on the left side (see pictures). I am so confused how this happened. When I showed her she said that that's how layers are suppose to be and thought it looked fine. (????) Took my 14yr old daughter to get a hair trim. Nothing special no complicated style just literally a 3 inch trim. Prices has changed now it just says women 22$ flat for hair cut-hot towel-shampoo and blow dry. First we have an appointment for 6:15 came in at 6:08 girl on.lunch had to wait 20 min which is not too bad about 10 min longer then our appointment time. When my daughter was finally seated found out it would cost 15$ b/c of her length and thickness of her hair. So that's already 35$ for a simple trim. So I was going to leave n the stylist was nice enough to say ok I'll give you 5$off. Since we were there waiting a long time before our appointment time I just let her get her hair cut. Later no blow dry no hot towel. Very disappointed could have gone somewhere else for a trim for 20$. Not worth the price. Stylist was ok. read more
