Far East has the potential to be a good facility in westchester - the massages are performed by technicians who are talented . HOWEVER the operations of the facility is "very poor". They over book Appts, lack ability to put customer care first and are riddled with communication errors . I had a flu shot yesterday, that was required for employment, and felt under the weather today and aching all over my body. I called all the other massage places to no avail. Far East, fortunately, accepts walk ins and had a whole lot of available open spots, so they took me in right away. They ask for payment before they start their service, which I didn't mind at all. My masseuse name is Sophia, and she is heaven sent! She knew the right spots to put pressure on and the spots to go gentle on. She incorporated hot stones, which I did not know were included in that very low price, plus stretches that I didn't know my body needed. The massage I got was definitely what my body needed. The massage place was clean and cozy. They take your temperature as soon as you get in. They then show you to your little massage room, which only had partitions and quite small. The massage bed/table, were clean and you can definitely smell the disinfectant that they just used, which was comforting and will put your mind at ease. If all you're after is the quality of massage, value for money, and you don't mind the aesthetics and size of the space or how there isn't any small talks, then this is the place to go! I bought my fiancé a Groupon for their 1-hour massage. He really enjoyed the massage and felt totally renewed. The atmosphere was peaceful and positive. My only advice is to make sure you get there 15 minutes early. Our first appointment was cancelled since we didn't arrive 15 minutes early. We were shocked and confused, but kindly rescheduled. Kind of mad I always passed by this place and never went in. Did you know they were in business for over 7 years?! Neither did I! Anyways, like everyone else I bought the Groupon for the foot reflexology. I bought it online and called them up to see if they had any available bookings for the week. They said they were free in a few hours and for me to just come, so my day off anyways, I decided ok. There's a convenient parking lot, it's not difficult to find. You walk in, and there's a receptionist, she collects the Groupon and then you just head off to the back. Being quiet of course I just hang up my stuff, they ask me to take a seat in one of the reclining chairs (whichever one I want) so I pick the one in the corner since there's a lady already getting a foot massage behind me. They start of with a 10 minute back rub and neck rub (this I did not expect and it was such a treat) and then while you're getting that done they let your feet soak in some hot water, totally relieving. The foot massage was on point and I've had my share of foot massages and oh man this goes in my top 2. Usually it's too soft or wayy too hard that I get bruises from these crazy women who keep pressing the same area because they don't understand what it means when you say HURT PAIN TOO HARD, haha, but I have no need to tell these people. What are all the rave review about? I booked a same day appointment for my neck that was in pain and got Peter. For 60 mins at $70, it wasn't worth it. I was lying on the most uncomfortable table bc the face cradle has a part that covers the lower half of your face. So when you're getting work done your mouth/teeth are getting smooshed repeatedly. By the end of my hour I was able to move my neck more but still have some pain. I wouldn't go back but instead go to Green Healing in the Galleria mall for a better massage and slightly lower price point. Same curtained "rooms" and no frills blankets and coverings. read more

I went today with a groupon for my sister in law and myself. I received the full body 45 min massage and she received a 45min neck, shoulder and foot massage since she is pregnant and cannot lay on her stomach. She loved her experience and stated the gentleman massaging her was very caring and continuously checked in on her. My masseuse was Lisa and she was absolutely amazing! I felt as if she knew exactly what my body needed. The massage starts with a deep/shiat-su type massage over a towel. This was a bit intense but I knew my body needed it and I just kept breathing through it. I later figured out this was to loosen my muscles before taking the towel down and massaging with oil. This was of course the best part as Lisa was very attentive to areas she felt where in need. She also briefly incorporated some stretches, which helped even more. All in all, this was exactly what my body needed. I'm contemplating buying a series since each massage is cheaper and they can be given to others. First of all I cannot believe I never knew about this place! I drive here every single day and I've never noticed this place, turns out they've been there for like 11 years or something like that. So I wanted to buy a Groupon but Groupon wasn't working that day, so after work I decided to just swing by. The place is warm and the owner or at least who I think is the owner was really nice and welcoming and she answered all my questions. I made my massage appts and paid the Groupon price. I like the fact that this place is not over the top. 1 week later we show up for our 50 min full body massage. This was a mom/daughter day. You are taken downstairs to a more private area, the rooms are clean and the area is serene. Relaxing music plays in the background. We had Lisa and Melissa and both were great. We enjoyed our massage and i was surprised that our massage included hot stone! That was a first for me lol. It was very relaxing and worthwhile and i never felt uncomfortable. We would def return. Saw Lisa yesterday for a 45 min body and 45 min foot massage. OMG. She is AMAZING. I had a dislocated shoulder about a month ago and I told her. Next thing she is working my shoulder more than I expected. I was concerned until the next day when I realized i had NO pain. Feeling the best it's been since the episode. Then the foot massage. An absolutely mind changing experience. She hits those spots and I felt like I was hallucinating. AMAZING. All in all she goes the extra mile to make you feel amazing. I WILL be back. I have been to this parlor several times and always enjoyed my experience. They are affordable, quick, quiet, and clean. Tonight, my 60 minute massage was actually quite good however I felt compelled to leave a 3 star review because of the customer service after my service. As I was walking upstairs, my masseuse 'demanded' her tip, which I was planning on giving her anyway when I got to the desk but not when I was walking I other dark steps. Randomly I found 10 dollars in my wallet to give her so she would let me go to the entrance area. Once I got there, I found out my girlfriend had already paid for my tips and my masseuse then bragged, in Mandarin, that she demanded the tip from me. When the boss explained, also in Mandarin, that my tip was already paid for, she replied 'well I already demanded it and she (meaning me) already gave it to me'. Then she went off the giggle with the other workers. I was pissed. I assume that she did not know that black people can also understand Mandarin and thought these comments would go unnoticed. Not so much. So, while the massages are quite affordable and pleasant, I seriously doubt I will return because of this rude service. read more

So nice and accommodating. Called for an impromptu acupuncture and massage session and they fitted me in the same day. Staff is pleasant and helpful. The place is surprisingly nice inside once you get pass the front foyer. They are very knowledgable and attentive. Massage was great. Cons: The place was a bit cold but it was nice once they covered you with a comfortable towel and a heat lamp. The rooms, while they are private, you can hear next door. So you can hear the movement and conversations of the other rooms. You do get used to it pretty quickly but it's a bit weird at first. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Today, Jenny serviced me and was able to loosen the stress knots in my neck as well as my shoulder blades. I will definitely come here at least once a month. I found this very special place through a Groupon for a foot reflexology session. The staff greeted me warmly and asked if there were any medical conditions they should be aware of. There is a quiet group space off the outer lobby with recliner chairs for the foot reflexology sessions. It's dimly lit, and you are barely aware that anyone else is around you ( For those if you who want total privacy - go up Central Ave to tranquility spa for a private room and mediocre foot massage at triple the price). They also have private rooms for massages and acupuncture- FYI. Anyway, my reflexology session also started with a foot soak and relaxing back/arm/neck and head massage. The reflexology portion was zen like and truly truly followed reflexology philosophy. I felt almost light headed and lighter than air when it was finished. I now return on a weekly basis, having purchased a package. No one has yet mentioned Dr. Zheng, the accupuncturist. I never had acupuncture before, but after two sessions, he has relieved the pain from a condition with my right knee minuscus , that seven months of physical therapy 2 times a week couldn't improve. I continue to have more energy and reduced pain. I am a dedicated and satisfied customer and recommend Far East Wellness without reservation. read more

I am a regular customer and have had massages all over the world. I highly recommend this inconspicuous little spot. The services are very affordable, and the quality is high. I have read the other reviews and have been very surprised by the claims of poor customer service. I have found the staff to be very professional, responsive, and accommodating. Therapists always ask me if the treatment feels good and if the pressure is appropriate. Additionally, any requests that I've made such as being moved to different room, moving an appointment last minute, or just providing me water are always gladly accommodated. The massage table I had was also shaky, and there was no aromatherapy or Zen music. The one thing I did like about this place was that I was able to get a same day appointment. Will I be back here? Did not appreciate the talking and noise, from next door, between my Swedish and foot massage; I was unable to relax. The staff was very accommodating I did show up without an appointment. I tipped 20% of the price I paid for my massage and they seemed very unhappy with that this time. Originally started going to Far East Wellness because I had a Groupon. I have been going back for almost 3 years now. Their massage therapists are far and above the best I've been to and I've had many over the years. The place is not fancy at all, but it's very comfortable and each area where you get a massage does offer privacy. What you are paying for is service and you get that in spades. They offer great discounts and great package deals. I've purchased two package deals so far and plan on purchasing more. They are my gift to myself. If you are looking for fancy - move on. I just discovered Far East Wellness and am blown away - they are phenomenal! Friendly but more importantly they are so good at what they do! I can't believe how much better I felt once I had my reflexology. In fact was so impressed, I signed up for a 1 hour massage 2 days later. Again, I felt fantastic - relaxed, lighter as if 25 pounds had been lifted of of me..I swear my posture was even better. But more importantly, they gave me my first day of pain relief from an arm injury that I had received when I fell 2 1/2 months ago, I even have my range of motion back. Upon arrival my temperature was taken which I thought was pretty cool. They made me pay upfront which was odd but no problem at all. Pretty typical looking inside. I go to these kind of places 2x a week and they all pretty much have the same concept, small spaces separated by curtains. I did 30 min back and 30 min foot for $45 cash or $47 credit ($2 credit card fee which I didn't love but whatever). The sheets didn't have much of a smell, not dirty and not like laundry detergent, just neutral. For the person who commented on thin paper on the bed, that's pretty standard. And as far as the "bounty" for where the head goes, bounty is pretty durable and soft so I was okay with that. The back massage was good! I can't complain. I wish he used a hot towel to wipe off the oil/lotion. This is the first place I've been to where they just wipe off with a paper towel. There was a girl getting a massage who answered her phone which was rude. I'm surprised the staff didn't say anything. I flipped over for the foot reflexology which I thought was less then mediocre. He rushed through the head, face and neck massage. I would have loved some more time on these areas, it felt so rushed and no effort. Like I said before, I go to these places 2x a week and the foot reflexology normally includes lower leg/calves massage but he only did the feet. I wasn't a fan of his techniques, very repetitive. He used a hot towel for my feet after thank goodness, I was afraid I would slip out the door in my sandals. I tipped $20. I can't image anything less honestly. It's an hour that they are working hard. I work in the service industry so I know what it's like to make a living off tips. Even if I'm not a fan and it wasn't great I'm still tipping 20%, I just won't go back, simple. I can't stand people trying to leave $4 for an hour of their time. And as far as those complaining about their tipping policy, I'm glad they have this in place. People can be so cheap. Leave the 20% and be on your way. read more

I did feel great leaving the place but the following days felt sore especially in my neck. We paid full price (75 per person) which wasent worth it and should have gotten the groupon. Far East Wellness is amazing! My first experience with this place was through Groupon last year. The staff is just the best. This year I received a Mother's Day gift certificate so I visited last evening. The very friendly receptionist suggested I try "Mike" to do my treatments (foot & back massage). I agreed. It was the best ever! I came in with painful knees, hurting joints, tingling in both hands at times, high blood pressure & just plain tiredness (I work long hours with a lot of walking). After all of what "Mike" did so expertly, efficiently & modestly, I have NO pain & I feel great. He released all the tension & I could feel the release of blood flow from all the "knots" that I had!
