    Lunch special-sausage and mushrooms
    Katie F.

I stopped in for lunch on my day off and was greeted by a lovely woman, who turned out to be a one-woman show for the front of the house. She was the hostess and the server and she was awesome and full of energy. I decided to get the pizza lunch special. Everything was ready pretty quickly. I liked the house salad dressing and my pizza was blazing hot when it arrived. I had to be patient because I fear that molten provel cheese! I was surprised to find the sauce to be on the sweet side, great crust, and the toppings were plentiful. It took me far too long to check out this local institution, but I'd definitely return!

The staff would benefit from improved training in phone etiquette. The woman (don't know her name because she didn't introduce herself) who took my order was short to answer my questions and unenthusiastic responses also referred to me as 'hon,' which felt condescending. On a side note: The website appears outdated and could use a modern refresh. (Bring it up to the 1990's)

Wow...St. Louis thin pan style pizza and a basic garlic Italian salad....and I'm in heaven! Comfort food at it's best. I love either Italian sausage or sausage and pepperoni pizza. Faraci a familiar "North County" style St. Louis pizza. I try to stop here when in the area on Manchester whenever I'm hungry.

I'm literally going to visit EVERY pizza place in St Louis that I can. Always exciting when I come across one that has been around 50+ years. They must be doing something right, right!? Admittedly, as much as I love St Louis style pizza I've not really tried a lot of places that specialize in it. Enter Faraci's! In business and family owned since 1968. I drove past it once day, and checking out pictures online it definitely looked good. The place was pretty packed at 530, on a Thursday night. I showed up a bit later than my friend and it did take a bit before I was asked if I wanted a drink. A bit more off putting for me was that while we ordered at the same time my friends pizza was delivered first, with mine almost ten minutes behind it. While I found the service to be a bit slow, the staff was all super friendly! Let's talk pizza! It looked and smelled phenomenal! While St Louis style, I loved that it had a lot more body and I knew it was going to be a lot more filling than St Louis' famous chain. The sauce was delicious, but I felt it a bit lacking on the pizza. Was happy that we kept the sauce from our toasted ravioli. Adding a bit on top of the pizza, definitely was a good move! The toppings were all wonderful, specifically I loved the seasoning on the sausage. I loved the crisp on the edge of the crust, but wish that same crisp had carried through to the underside. All in all, I enjoyed faracis! Definitely would stop back in if I'm in the neighborhood and inspired to try more St Louis style pizza spots!

Sausage, pepperoni, bacon pizza . Perfection!

I had not had this pizza in over 20 years. It's the best! Sausage, pepperoni and bacon. Bacon was thoroughly cooked (no fatty parts) and it's great leftover too. This is my new fav pizza place. Staff is very friendly and efficient as well.

Large pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni and sausage.

The parking lot is far too small for the businesses where Mia Sorella is located. I was going to lunch with a friend and she suggested going here. While the parking lot was pretty full, I did find a space! We were seated right away. I think the dining room was about 80% full. I don't know how many servers there were, but the one we had seemed to be very busy. Our drink order was taken right away. About 10 minutes later, our server came by and asked what my drink order was. It was a Diet Coke - nothing special! There are so many good things in the menu and it took us a few minutes to make our choices. We were chatting so I don't know how long it took for our food to come out, but it seems like we got it fairly quickly. Walking through the dining room as we were leaving, I noticed how shabby it's getting in there. The tables and chairs have taken a beating over the years. I think it's time for a refresh. I'll go back - but it probably for lunch!

The linguine di mare was enjoyable, though somewhat heavy-handed with butter and garlic, which slightly overshadowed the dish's balance. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from the overall experience. Despite having a reservation at 6:30pm, and a simple order for two, our entrées did not arrive until approximately an hour after ordering. The delay was excessive and ultimately forced us to leave as soon as the food arrived, leaving us to hastily eat a few bites from the styrofoam to-go containers rather than enjoy them as intended. Given the $160 price point, the experience fell well short of expectations, making it difficult to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Neither of us had been here, but a friend recommended we go. It was on my list of restaurants to try so I was more than happy to go! We were served by Shannon. Shannon had such a wonderful sense of humor telling my husband no phones or watches at the dinner table he also kept the bread coming. Like I said, it was a full house so we were eating bread for a while. It was so worth the wait though. My husband got the benedito's farfalle since his favorite pasta is bow tie and I ordered the Rigatoni alla Nino. Mine was delicious and the perfect amount of spicy. The salmon was UGH. Chef's kiss, but my husband's order? I WOULD GET THAT TOO. He ate two baskets of bread though. Lucky for me. I told him he better ask for the rest of his to go because it will have my name written all over it! I was so close to finishing mine but alas, I was too full. Luckily not full enough because we got this dessert. This secret dessert lol what a show. It was made at our table. (I love when restaurants do this) it looked like vanilla bean ice cream with amaretto, a sauce I couldn't tell what that was, and sliced almonds. I am sure I'm missing other ingredients but HOLY COW. Everyone in the restaurant was staring. It was quiet the show. I was scared my hair would go up in flames but he's a pro. That would not happen. The first visit but certainly not the last. We will be back and we will be bringing everyone we know!

I had been a few times in the past but it was my family's first time. I don't drink alcohol and they have a great mocktail section! I got the NOPE-rol Spritz, it was delicious! My family and I split the white truffle fries and ciabatta as appetizers and they all got pasta dishes that they loved. I got a pizza (the Arugula) and unfortunately I feel as though I ordered wrong (which was my own fault), I didn't really care for it. When you took a bite it was like all the toppings fell off on the first bite. I think they cut the pizza before putting the toppings on which just made it harder to eat. I think the best part of the night was the service. We had Grace as our waitress (she was training another girl, but unfortunately I don't remember her name). The food will be very familiar from the perspective that everything we had was excellent. We started with calamari, and to our surprise there were also a small group of onion straws on the plate. It was served with 2 sauces (one marinara and one aioli - both were excellent). Don't skip the fried lemons, they are an added treat. We then moved on to the Napoli salad, it is as described on the menu...crisp, and appropriately dressed. Then we had the special pizza of the evening, it was a black garlic base (not strong) with mushrooms and burrata on top - delicious. We also happen to be sitting next to the area with the pizza oven - a must see if you are there. We did sit inside, but outdoor seating was available. What might not be so familiar, but I thought was great, was a more casual atmosphere, and decor, I would classify is as upscale casual. Our server was very pleasant, the only thing that surprised me was the time in between courses seemed a bit longer than expected, but that gave my friends and I a chance to catch up. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I will be back!!

I also never got a fresh refill of any drinks and soft drinks are 3.50! I ordered the salmon crostini and tacchino sandwich. And while the ingredients were fresh and plentiful, and it left me wanting more: more toast on the crostini as it was soft and flimsy with the salmon which is also soft and flimsy, wanted more tomato flavor in the tomato goat cheese mousse, wanted more goat cheese spread and fruit compote on the sandwich to offset the density of the turkey. Everything was very one note and a variance in texture. The fries and ranch were excellent. They were hot and crispy and the ranch was addictive. I wouldn't mind giving Gio another chance, maybe at dinner.
