This location is really nice it's a new location so it very clean and nice inside and outside . It's also in a really nice location in Orange . The staff here provides great customer service very friendly and kind . They also provide really fast service both to your table and when you go through the drive thru . The food is also very good at this location I had the Cobb salad the lettuce was very fresh . The chicken on the salad was also very fresh and had great flavor . I have no reason to not give this place 5 stars. My big family and I had just gone on a hike in Peter's Canyon and we were starving for some cave man food. We had our pups with us so we needed to find a place that would be dog-friendly. Glad we found this spot! :) LOCATION: There's a shaded sitting area outside where my family took up and our two pups! It's not every day you find a shaded sitting area at a burger joint but Farmer Boys came in clutch this time. FOOD: You definitely get all the bang for your buck at Farmer Boys! These burgers are huge and not to mention delicious. I ordered the bacon avocado burger and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The fries are good too. Just keep in mind this place isn't gourmet but the burgers are bigger than in-n-out! SERVICE: So nice and helpful! I asked if they could give me a patty for the pups and they helped me out. I Really like Farmer Boys in general but this location is the worst I've ever been. The employees are worst than Lazy and careless. Since the moment i enter the establishment i had to wait till the employees stop talking to each other in the kitchen. After they finally got my order i asked for the code to use the restroom, another bad surprise, the restroom was just mopped, but everything looked so dirty and with a horrible smell it was like they just mopped with old soap water and nothings else, just to say they mopped the restroom and they didn't even touch the sink or the toilet. Anyway i was still very hungry and ready to enjoy the meal, but my last surprise when i was eating the burger i bit something really hard like a rock i even felt my tooth was compromised. My English it's not my first language but im taking the time to write this review because i felt it was really necessary this time. Staff was super friendly, price is a bit high, like 10+ dollars. However I did end up with a 1/4 burger and a large amount of fries, so it's reasonable for the quantity/quality. One day, I decided to try out Farmer Boys via the drive through. The board has a lot of selections, maybe too much so. I just wanted the smallest, plainest hamburger and small fries. As I pulled up to the window after ordering, I heard the big burly guy behind me order some humongous double cheeseburger and large fries. Minutes later, the cashier said, "small burger and fries?", and I said yes, gave her my $10 bill, and she handed me my bag of goodies, and my change. I left without checking my order, typical me. I drove two miles down the road to speak to my mechanic during his lunch hour. To my surprise, I got a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. There were large fries, and I am guessing this order cost at least 5 dollar more than what I paid for. The big guy behind me must've been upset to find out that she accidentally switched our orders. He must've had a Hulk-like reaction when he opened his bag. Imagine having to wait for them to recook everything. The food is pretty good. The burger was nicely grilled and the bun was fresh. The grilled onions and mushrooms were perfect. It was probably a thousand calories, and really couldn't eat such a huge double cheeseburger. I shared half of it with my mechanic who was more than happy to eat more than the peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunch his wife packed for him! My last 2 visits have been poor. Most recent visit 2 days ago. Drive thru order gone wrong. Ordered the 4 pc fish dinner. Substituting onion rings for zucchini. Instead we got a plate full of fries and only 2 zucchini ( in past had gotten 4) fries were cold. Halfway home discovered we didn't get the side salad that comes with it and had to turn around and go back for it. Many people at the counter complaining about their meal missing items or made wrong. Farmer Boys is the definition of three stars- A-OK. Nothing about it is outstandingly good or horrendously bad. One thing I find a little confusing is if they're going for more of a fast-food or sit-down vibe. There's a drive-thru, but the service isn't fast enough for me to actually call it fast food. Technicality? I went for the barn burner burger because when in doubt, spice it out. I will say I was very disappointed with the jalapeño wheels; I was expected a crunch, but there was nothing special. I did like their hot sauce though, and I'm always a fan of being able to put pepper jack cheese on a burger. But for the cost, the burger unfortunately did not deliver. If I want a fancy burger I'll stick with Smashburgers. read more

I've gone by this location a couple of times since the Breakfast Incident. I did want to give them another shot at not sucking. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have the ingredients for their burgers. Both times - a few weeks apart (the most recent being Saturday) - they were out of avocado. Understand that they offer a burger - the Farmers Burger - that is "award winning" and "victory on a bun." It is, according to their website "The one, the only. The king of delicious." I cannot attest to those accolades, as they can't make this burger at this store. Perhaps it's time for a sea change at the ol' Orange Farmer Boys. How is it I can go to the Anaheim location and get great service, different pricing and get my receipt so I can get points for their app? Yet you come here and you'll get: not so good service, higher pricing and no receipt to scan your points in?! This is my second time at this location and probably my last, our go to location is the Anaheim store but we were closer to the Orange one today. The first time we went here we thought maybe it was just a one time mixup with the pricing and not getting a receipt but after reading other reviews and today's experience clearly this is the norm. Farmer Boys is our jam and frequent it on a weekly basis so we know how it should be, we are not cheap people at all but how is it a side of hashbrowns are one price in Anaheim but higher at the Orange location? Not to mention the portions are way smaller over here! The discrepancy doesn't make sense at all. I'm not sure how this location is being ran, but perhaps it needs some retraining for their employees. The staff here isn't exactly the friendliest. We had to repeat our order since it seems she wasn't paying attention. I love their food all around but clearly something is off at this location. My family loves eating at Farmer Boys. My husband and a few of my kids are picky eaters but have no problem choosing things to enjoy from their menu. The food is fresh and delicious. We always use their app to collect points and receive free food or drinks with almost every visit. Pros: I like the food. But that's about it.... Cons: they almost always get my order wrong. I work nearby so I eat at this location fairly often but more and more often they are getting my order wrong even after I ask them to double check. I'm always in a hurry as my lunch break isn't that long and I find myself having to go back to get the order redone. I've also been doing uber eats but there even worse as they never check and getting the order redone is a second uber delivery fee. Good luck on your order. read more

Every time I go to the drive through, the teller is short and rude and interrupts me when I am giving my order because it is not in the order they enter it into their system. My journey through the bad restaurants of City of Orange continues. One of the absolute worst meals I have had in OC. The absolute worst thing I have ever eaten from a restaurant lately, their onion rings. How hard is it to make decent onion rings? I guess pretty hard. FB version is to take GIANT pieces of onion, too large to really eat, put on some horrible tasting batter and then not cook them long enough. I threw them away after one bite. I just left this location ten mins ago on Sunday March 10th 2019 and this is the last time that I will come here. I ordered a Denver Omelet with Hash Browns and Wheat Toast. I was at the drive-thru window for several mins before my payment was taken. During that time, I could see three workers hovering over my bag which I found odd at first but figured it was for double checking. I was given my order and told "Have a good night" ....night? Its 9am...okay. I wasnt asked if I wanted any condiments or anything. I looked inside my bag and noticed I didnt get my VIF points receipt either. There was just a fork, knife and a handful of ketchup packets inside. The toast was burnt and had no butter. The hashbrowns were cold. The omlete itself was runny, dripping and not cooked all the way through. I love farmer boys! There isn't one around where I live so I always stop off when I do come across one. There was a sign up that listed a few things they were out of.. fish, ciabatta, avocados. My food was good, FB fries are always superb. The restaurant was clean and seemed to be well kept. The staff was ok, they were def just there to do their jobs, nothing more nothing less. read more
