Spent day with girlfriends in going to lunch, catching up, and to see a movie. I'm retired, as another friend, and one still working, which is why we went on NY Eve to Farmer Boys. Place didn't look busy, but seemed to be a quite a few people there. Place was semi clean, my friend was going to sit down, realized a mess was on the seat. Never used the restroom. Ordering was easy, staff pleasant, nice, thus your 2 stars on effort. Here we go... this is about my 3rd time eating at this place, today was not my choice, but my friends. Again disappointed. Food looks good, quality of the processed chicken in the sandwich DISGUSTING with huge soggy zucchini strips, having paid $14!!!! I felt taken, and used, and abused thus this review that hopefully the Franchise Owner gets a hint. Friend having had onion rings ..same issue. None of us cleaned our plates, that tells you something. Having had a burger thru the drive thru previously, with Hubby months prior, my hamburger, after having a few bites, had pure pink unknownness of grossness. This was just a so so place to eat. They take forever to prepare your food. My chicken strips were ok, but my fries were old and cold. It was slow when I was there so food preparation shouldn't have been so long. After I got my food everyone went on break. Decent place decent food, came here on 10/07/15, had breakfast with a coworker. I had the hot cakes combo, eggs sunny side up and bacon with a side of hash browns and coffee and milk. It was good. I wrote my review and then read past reviews for this location and it seems the staff here has always been an issue! Especially this unprofessional cashier named Fernanda. I first gave my respect and patience but the staff could not do the same back to me. Farmer Boys should be disappointed at the management and staff at this location, but I am disappointed that they have always been an issue and it seems nothing has been done to address the poor delivery of service to customers. The drive thru cashier was very rude and in a bad mood. She seemed to be upset that I was using a coupon from the app, claiming that I asked for a combo order and the coupon is not valid for it but I stated I asked for a side order and the order taker acknowledged she herself put it in as a combo. I asked for strawberry preserves for my breakfast order and she rudely said "you mean strawberry jelly." She said "have a good day" but very rude and sarcastic. She failed to check the accuracy of my order and left out syrup from my bag. When I went into the restaurant to ask for syrup and talk to the manager about my negative experience with the drive thru cashier, the cashier came up to me and started arguing with me and confronting me. The manager tried very minimally to descalate the situation and allowed her cashier to continue confronting me. At no point did the cashier step away to continue attending the drive thru customers and preferred to argue with me. I acknowledged to the cashier that I did not know what caused her to be in a bad mood but she continued insisting that she was not a rude worker despite arguing with me and not letting me discuss the situation with the manager. When I suggested to the manager that she should have her working in the back part of the restaurant to not expose her negative attitude to other customers, the manager told me to not tell her what to do. This manager and cashier have no regard for their customers and their current state, as I am currently pregnant and they still continued an argument with me. At no point did I receive an apology from the manager or the cashier. This is very unacceptable and agitating for a customer and woman in my current state. A higher up representative from Farmer Boys needs to contact me about this very unfortunate situation. The manager and cashier did not even have a name tag on for me to be able to appropriately identify them. Part of my receipt only has a server name of Fernanda. I have never received this type of service at Farmer Boys and am very disappointed and upset at how Farmer Boys permits these workers to represent them. Yup another burger chain review. Staff is always pleasant. Food is prepared quickly and presented well, not just dumped on your tray. Good selection of burgers salads, etc. Good variety of breakfast options. Restaurant and restrooms are always clean. Not a destination, but if you are looking for good food, clean restaurant, good value, this is the place. read more

Regular customer at this Farmer Boys . Placed an order for me and my son through the drive- thru. The wait was unusually long and my mistake was not verifying the contents in my bag. Upon getting home I realized they did not include my son's kids meal. I called them via phone and explained what happened. The first person I spoke to said she did not see extra food left behind. She placed me on hold and then I spoke with Priscilla. I asked if they could deliver the food and she said this was not an option. I asked for a refund and she said they cannot provide a refund. She said I could come back and pick up the order today or another day. Very disappointed since my request was reasonable. I will surely not be coming back and take my business elsewhere. read more

I love this farmer boys the food is delicious. I ordered the Cobb salad with Italian dressing. The salad was fresh, crisp and yummy. My dad and my daughter ordered the Big Cheese Burger, they gobbled the burgers down. I love the fries because they're so crispy! I want to say a special thank you to Tanya for the great service. Even though the restaurant was very very busy, she took the time out to apologize for the food taking a while. She also recommended that I go on the farmer boys app to get coupons. I ordered at the drive thru and when I got home I noticed that I was still missing some food from my order. When I got back go the restaurant I went inside and Tanya helped me get everything I was missing and even gave me coupons to use on my next visit. Nothing special or bad about this place. It's an upgraded jack in the box where it has everything that taste ok but nothing special they are remembered by. I usually get their breakfast by the way and today had a late breakfast. It's alight, again it's a fast food in steroids. I think the cashier was trying to scam or steal my debit card numbers. She took a while swiping my card. Then walked away, and a different employee presented me with my food. Had to ask for my card to be returned. Good old fashioned style food. Longer than average wait times. But overall ok. read more

This place is terrible. They have ZERO accountability. First of we ordered a burger and specifically said no sauce and no onions. When we got home the receipt said no sauce and no onions, yet they were on the burger. So we called to complain and they said they will comp us a burger next time we go in. So today we go in and find the lady gives us attitude and then once we get home they forget to give us the dressing for the salad. So we called to let them know and the manage Cale's response is "we didn't mess up, we just forgot to give you a dressing, you still got your slad" at this point I was pissed because they aren't taking accountability for their actions instead trying to say we didn't mess up you still got your salad. Placed an order online today for 3 meals it said ready at 1155am. Arrived at 12p no customers were in line and 1 employee was at the counter and I asked for my order and he looked at 3 of the 4 bags on the counter and then walked off and did not say a thing. Thought that was rude and he seemed to be the manager. 5 minutes go by and he only takes an order from a family of 3 as I stand there at the counter waiting. Then a young girl comes to the counter and starts folding paper towels and I told her I thought 1 of the 4 orders on the counter was mine and sure it was the 1st employee did not even bother to look when I asked him 5 mins prior. Reviews for this location aren't the best, but I've been here multiple times for breakfast, burgers, and salads and all have been good! It's a fast food place so I don't expect a 5 star experience, but I do expect decent service and food which they do pretty well. I went inside yesterday and ordered a charbroiled chicken salad to go. The salad was made and put in the window within 2 minutes after I placed my order, but sat there for 5+ minutes while they helped 7 other people and repeatedly walked past it. This is my first and last time coming here. I've heard such great things about Farmer Boys so I was excited to finally try them out. I ordered an original crispy chicken sandwich with no sauce. When the cashier rang it up she asked if I wanted firey, and I told her no just the original sandwich with no sauce. I paid for mine and my partner food and sat down. 13 mins later our food comes. Not only does it have sauce, but it also has lettuce, bacon, and cheese. I politely explained to her this is not what I ordered. She wouldn't take it back and argued that I didn't ask for it plain. I explained again I wanted the original (not loaded sandwich that was 3 dollars more and what she charged me) and please remake it as the original with no sauce. She took my meal. 22 minutes later still no sandwich. She said it was the way I wanted it and since I gave it back to her she took it and threw it away. At this point I asked for a lead and they apologized. Still another 10 minutes after that until I got my food, and both the chicken and bun were over cooked. Today I had an awful experience with Beatrice! My wife had accidentally ordered the wrong item at the speaker and when we got to the window she asked to change her order. She was told by Beatrice that "no". And that it's "too late" excuse me?! We are customers and if we accidentally ordered the wrong thing we don't have to pay for it. I asked to speak to her manager and she said that he wasn't in. I then said, "let me speak to your shift lead then" she rolled her eyes and went to get him. My wife and I were so bothered by the whole experience, that we decided to just drive away. We weren't going to put up with that kind of disrespect after ordering $45 worth of food. We went in for a quick bite to eat for breakfast. The food was good at first. I finished my breakfast burrito, which was fine and fresh. BUT while my wife was finishing up her meal, she found a hair in her food! It wasn't "head hair" either. Needless to say we were grossed out. My family and I ate at Farmer Boys today at 1220 N Batavia St. Orange, CA 92866. It was beyond disgusting. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Ranch salad. About 3/4 of the way through it there was an insect at the bottom of the bowl. Dead and mixed in with the dressing. My husband and I were about to vomit. I took the bowl up to the counter and was given my money back. One thing that struck me was I overheard one of the female employees say to a male employee, "It happens." "It happens"??? NOT IN MY MEAL AND IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE'S MEAL. I hope the manager does not try to respond to this review with excuses.
