The staff is friendly. The lines get long but they seem to go by pretty quick. They have good deals. Their shakes are good but over priced for something so small. It's also one of the only places that sells breakfast burritos that is open before 9 a.m. So when you need a burrito at 7 in the morning, this place has you covered. The breakfast burrito comes with egg, hash browns, pico de gallo and bacon. You can customize it from there. They ask you if you want salsa with it, but they don't really give you salsa -- it's a packet of Heinz taco sauce. We also ordered the kids pancake breakfast, which was huge and more food than my two children could eat, even splitting one order. The coffee is pretty good. I don't know what it is these days but no one knows how cook hash browns or eggs. I always ask for the hash browns to be made well done and crispy and without fail they come lightly browned on the outside and completely raw and hard inside. The eggs are either way undercooked or way over cooked. Really how hard is it to cook eggs over medium, I have been cooking them that way since I was about 8 years old. I sent my food back twice to be remade and it will still wrong. I can't eat eggs that have slimy clear whites. I've always liked Farmer Boys since I first discovered them in the middle of the desert in the middle of nowhere. I stopped here for lunch on my way home from Mammoth Mountain and order my favorite "The Natural" Burger with a light Thousand Island sauce with a a side of onion rings and an iced tea. The burger is made with USDA fresh beef that is hormone-free and antibiotic-free and comes with chopped yellow onions, American cheese, a soft potato bun, Thousand Island dressing, and crispy dill pickles. It is a simple burger yet effective, mostly due to the 100% natural beef patty. The meat was juicy and tender, but most importantly if had very good flavor. The moist potato bun was a perfect match and it snuggled the beef patty very well, The burger came with just the right amount of of crunchy onions and pickles. They still allowed the beef patty to be the star. It was a very good burger. The onions were a first for me at a Farmer Boys. They came with a very light dusting of cornmeal and were crispy with a soft hot tender whole onion ring inside. The outside crust was a little bland and could of benefited from a touch of salt.
