WORST DRIVE THRU SERVICE!!!!! JESSICA!!!! UGH!!! She is the most lowest person I've ever experienced in a drive thru service experience!! Her excuse was she opened by herslf. Really! At 10 am on Labor Day, there was a long line as we entered and only one register open to take orders. After my family ordered our breakfasts of mostly French toast and pancakes, we were informed that the restaurant was all out of syrup and butter. The solution to this problem is simple: a 10-minute trip and $20. I don't understand why the manager didn't take care of that before opening. After I paid for our food, I was given my 2 coffees and a table number at the register. When the clerk asked to help the next customer, I assumed my daughters' orange juices would be brought to the table with our food. Our food was brought to us and I let the server know we were still waiting for my daughters' juices. She responded with, "You should have gotten them when you ordered." When I said that I only was given our coffees, she rolled her eyes and went to get them. My scrambled eggs had shells in them and our coffee was never refilled. The restaurant was half-full. Came here with 2 friends recently for a sit in lunch around 3:30pm. Since it was so late into the afternoon, there were so few customers at the restaurant that I didn't think I'd encounter an issue. Only 2 other groups since it was already so late. I placed my order for ONE...SINGLE...ITEM. A simple charbroiled chicken sandwich. They procured a receipt after charging, gave me a number, and I proceeded to sit with my 2 friends. Both of my friends' orders came within the next 5 minutes, and I placed my order before they had. We waited another 10 to 15 minutes before having to flag down a waiter to ask about my order. Apparently, they had completely forgotten to submit it. The waiter even asked to see my receipt to confirm that I had indeed placed an order. I was hungry, but I was courteous about the situation. The waiter went to the counter, came back, and needed to confirm what I had ordered...ugh, didn't I just give you the receipt with the details??? I half jokingly stated that my food should be comped, but the waiter didn't say much except for a pathetic "sorry". Food came after another 10 minutes or so. No compensation, no sincere apologies, or anything. The chicken tasted dried out, but I was more annoyed about the situation than anything. Been coming here for years but lately I've noticed a lot of the drive-thru staff have been unhelpful and generally rude. Tonight my kids and I were craving bacon cheeseburgers. Checked Yelp and it said they close at 10. Looked at the clock--9:40. We live about 15 minutes away so we hopped in the car and arrived at 9:56. Upon pulling in the drive-thru we were notified by an automated message that they were closed. We pulled up to the window and saw the attendant counting the cash at the register. She tried to ignore us sitting there and finally acknowledged is and gestured that they were closed. I asked her, through the closed window, what time do you close? 10pm, she said. Looked at the clock--9:58. I don't expect a restaurant to open just for me after they've already closed, but I do not expect them to follow their posted hours (unless there's some kind of emergency, which tonight there clearly wasn't). I discovered this location a couple years back before franchises started popping up in unexpected places all over the Los Angeles County area. This particular restaurant is located where the 57 and 60 meet in the Diamond Bar/Walnut area. Whenever I feel like forgoing my primary "Go To" burger joints, I rely on this Farmer Boys for the change-up. I usually order a Twin Patty Cheeseburger with bacon, and then I add fries and a drink to make it a combo. Pricewise, it comes out to just under $8. Burgers are made to order and they're quite tasty, but in a way different from a typical burger joint. For me, they come off like the best burgers that I've had at a backyard bbq. Their french fries are of the thicker steak fries variety, and they go perfectly with their ranch dressing. Another high point on their menu is their fried zucchini, and their servings are gianormous! I don't know how they could possibly constitute as a "side order". Onion rings on their menu are listed as "Giant Onion Rings". If you check out their menu online, you'll see that they have a decent selection of sandwiches and dinner plates. They also serve breakfast, and yes, their pancakes were up to snuff the last time I checked. I'd highly recommend their french toast combo plate. I had been on the hunt for an awesome breakfast burrito around the area and never thought of Farmer Boys. My friend knew of my hunt and suggested Farmer Boys' breakfast burritos and it surely did not disappoint! Breakfast Burrito (choices: bacon, ham, sausage, chili) The sausage breakfast burrito has the following ingredients: Eggs (3), American Cheese 1 Slice, Hash Browns 3.5 Ounces, Salsa 2 Ounces, Diced Sausages 2 Ounces, and a Flour tortilla. I really like that they scramble the eggs fry them flat so that it lies flat and wraps around the inside of the burrito instead of having clumps of eggs here and there. It makes for an even bite of ingredients. With the egg wrapped around on the inside, there is also a better chance that the inside ingredients do not spill out when you take a bite. Very well thought out! My coworkers also like coming here for their fried zucchinis and burgers. The menu prices are very reasonable. I love that they are Farm-to-Table, fresh food and fresh ingredients. It is rare to get Farm-to-Table in fast food joints, it really sets them apart and it shows in how busy they can get throughout the day. No matter what time I go, there are usually lots of people in the drive-thru and also in the dining area. Service is also great. Lots of smiles and great attitudes! We occasionally eat here. Neither of us had an idea so we placed an online order to go through their web site. 4 piece fish, fries, salad and added 4 onion rings. Order was bagged and waiting when I got there. Counter lady added dressings and was very nice. I took the knotted bad and left. When we split and plated the meal we noticed there were no fries. The extra rings were there as was the $5.75 charge. After dinner I called and ultimately was told there was no way to refund for the missing fries as it was ordered through an internet vendor. Considering it's walnut fast food it's about as good as it gets. Everything is made to order which means it takes a little longer to get things but it's totally worth it. One of the few places around to get authentic American breakfast at a reasonable price. The avocado chicken sandwich is great and so are the fresh salads. For the burgers, I've only ordered the Farmer's Burger, which comes in at over 1000 calories. It has double patties, cheese, avocado, bacon, etc. Had it several times, and it's quite good even though I can't really finish it. The melts on the other hand are kinda small.
