Horrible service, poor quality food, dishonest employees!!! As for the food, we received overcooked chicken strips, undercooked zucchini, missing ingredients in burgers & sandwiches, and missing order of fries with the combo we ordered yet charged for full meals. I was told my food was missing the avocado for the Sourdough Chicken Avocado Sandwich and Farmer's Burger was credited back 20 cents for the missing ingredients. Shift Leader Julia (who said she was the restaurant manager) said company policy dictates a one-time 20 cent refund for missing items. I called corporate to make complaint. The corporate employee I spoke to said this was incorrect information and an Area Manager would call me back shortly. As of this review I haven't been contacted yet. Unfortunately, this is the type of service people get at the Benton Road location on a routine basis. Friends and Neighbors do talk about such things. Not all Farmers Boys locations are like this. I ate often at the original Farmer Boys in Perris in the early 80's. It was the best burger in the Inland Empire! We just moved to the area and we love having a Farmer Boys close by because they have so many options. The fries are great unless they're underdone. The one major con is how long it takes to get your food, but it's understandable since they make your food to order. The restaurant is clean and the employees have always been great. I liked this place. Tried for the first time through the drive through. I ordered the hearty farmers club with fried zucchini and a small strawberry shake. Even though this place is pretty pricy it's worth it. Everything is fresh from the food to the milkshake which had real strawberries in it. The service was great even when they tried to give us someone's order and then said just kidding and took it back. The person I was with tried ordered a Sierra mist and it was all carbonation, and they took it back and apologized and gave her something else. The food was high quality and fresh. The zucchini was just cooked because it was really hot, I had to let it cool before I could eat it without burning my mouth. Yum!! The first time we had Farmer Boys was about 10 years ago. They were pretty foul. We decided to try them again and were impressed with the food. I tried the natural burger with extra cheese, avocado and bacon. First, the bacon was actually DONE! Yaaaaaay! The patty was hot & juicy even though they cook'em well-done. The cheese wasn't melted, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing; the sauce and the onions were delish so that more than made up for it. The chili cheese fries were the business. They are a must-have! Hubby got the Farmer's omelet w/toast and hash browns which were ok. However, the portions are pretty big so he helped me eat my food. :) We will be back. Truly one of the worst experiences I've ever had. In this place, fast food is an oxymoron. Three of us came in for lunch after watching the airshow at French Valley Airport. Very disappointment in the lack of health concerns from the staff and management at Farmer Boys located on Benton Road in the City of Murrieta. Instead of going through drive, I decided to go inside and I'm glad I did. The young lady (worker) had just finished taking my and three other customers order at the register when she bypass the sink to wash her hands. I noticed she was placing food, napkins and silverware into bags. I did advise another employee and her response "that's how we are trained" and she kept making excuses for. Even the manager didn't even have of drop of care to came and address the issue. All she said was "just have her wash her hands." No apology - no nothin! This is what I found regarding food handler responsibilities. Pre-pandemic, Farmer Boys in the French Valley location was one of our go to places for breakfast and sometimes lunch. The service used to be awesome and the food was good. During the pandemic, the indoor dinning was closed the entire time. I guess they just didn't want to spend the money on plexi dividers and put any effort into doing what so many other restaurants did to keep their business open. For over a year we did not go because we did not want to do the drive thru. So now that the dinning room is open, we decided to go back and have breakfast. The place was very clean and I appreciate that. But, the usual great service was lacking. We ordered breakfast and sat down. The tables were completely empty of any type of condiment, including salt and pepper and no napkins. Okay, I guess they are maintaining more strict guidelines now, although there's no plexi dividers, no other signs of covid guidelines being implemented. Our food comes but no utensils, so I let the server know we need utensils and could I also have a spoon. We also ask for ketchup. She comes back with utensils and packets of ketchup, but no spoon. So I remind her about the spoon and also ask for some jelly for my toast and find out they only have grape. Okay, grape is still good. She comes back with the jelly and a plastic spoon. Now we have been here many times before pre-pandemic and every time I have asked for a spoon I've gotten a real spoon. Not sure if they are overstocked on stuff for the drive thru that they wanted to get rid of the plastic utensils, but oh well, not a deal breaker. Every time before, when I have ordered coffee, there is always a server that comes around with the coffee pot to see if anyone needs a refill. Now granted, I was not the only customer drinking coffee so it's not like they had to make a special trip just for me, there were plenty of others having coffee, but I guess they no longer do that, so instead you have to go back to the counter to get a refill. Our food was good but my husband said his breakfast sandwich didn't have any cheese on it, even though it's in the description. Overall today was just okay. I know this is not a full service restaurant, but before the pandemic, the service always felt like we were in a full service restaurant. Maybe their dinning room service is rusty after being closed down for over a year. We will give them another try to see it's any better. If not, maybe we'll see if their new location on Clinton Keith is better once it opens. read more
