This is one of my favorite restaurants in Branson. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect little diner worth the wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Has a farm house feeling or like you are at your favorite aunt's place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our service was top notch she checked in often and made sure our glass stayed full. The food was amazing this is the best chicken and dumplings I have ever had. The Nashville hot chicken tenders were really good

They came highly recommended but this review is mixed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cozy place with a nice vibe and lots of Americana stuff on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and the menu has lots of comfort food listed. We were told the fried chicken was top notch. Drinks came in mason jars, FULL of ice. We both ordered the two piece fried chicken with baked potato, mashed potatoes, cinnamon apples, and green beans as sides. The chicken was GREAT. Moist, tender, and tasty. The apples, mashed potatos, and baked potato were all good. That's the good part. The green beans tasted like they came straight out of a can - no onions, no bacon, nothing. The biscuit was cold and dry (set aside after one bite). Dessert was excellent. Had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Strongly recommended. Will probably come back but will make other choices.

Went with friends, on a Friday night, crowded There were 5 of us and we were seated after 45 minute wait, at a table for 4... Megan was our server, she was busy, so no time for friendly chit chat, all biz. We had the chicken fried chicken. Came with mashed potatoes and we asked for the green beans. The beans were sweet, almost as if they used maple syrup on them. The fried chicken was crispy, basically the size of a medium chicken breast. Dessert was the cherry cobbler... With ice cream, which was really good. Besides the lack of friendly service, the food was good. Would I recommend this place, I would, even with the matter of fact interaction from our server...

We didn't have to wait too long for a seat, they give you a buzzer and have you wait upstairs in the gift shop. The service is fairly good. 2 in our party only got one refill on their coffee, besides that it was good. Our table of 4 had 1st, an omelette with potatoes, grits and a biscuit with a side of gravy added, 2nd order, was ham steak, scrambled eggs, a biscuit with a side of gravy and grits. 3rd, chicken and dumplings. 4th, grilled cheese with bacon. Definitely not good grits. Clumpy and not that great of flavor. 3rd was supposed to come with mashed potatoes but they were cooking and never got done before the meal was finished. Was promised a dessert to compensate but that didn't come. The dumplings tasted amazing though. The biscuit was a bit on the dry side. Soak it in some butter and it's not bad. The grilled cheese was fine. Overall this is a big tourist place, it's not bad but not amazing. We had tried 2 other places for breakfast that we definitely loved.

Are they open until 8 or 9?

    8. And they are serious. We arrived at 7:30 & didn't know they closed at 8... not posted. Practically sweeping under our feet while we were still eating.

Yelp has this restaurant under as a buffet but I do not see anywhere even on menu do they have a buffet?

Not a buffet. SO not a buffet. Go to Pizza Hut for a buffet. Come here to be amazed.

Our party ordered The Big Philly Bomb was top notch, and if it's a bit too big for your taste you can always trim a bit off the ends like a smash burger shawarma lol. Next up was the bacon Mac N Cheese burger. I couldn't find the black beans and meat was virtually none existent. So I flagged the waiter and they brought me the cheeseburger nacho instead. While I waited the Mac burger came out. Again, Mac and cheese layer and the burger patty tasted like no seasoning was added. My son loves Mac and cheese and he even said it tasted like Kraft. We then got the cheeseburger nachos hoping something would be good... Strike 3. The cheeseburger piece were so small you would think they were brown rice with how pellet size they were. The cheese sauce is absolutely worse than taco bell even. Honestly, just save your money and go to taco bell. The best part of all the dishes? The pickles that came on top of the cheeseburger nachos. Also, all their signature sauces were bad. Donkey was plain(taste like mayo), ranch tasted like garlic aoli(what the donkey was trying to be), spicy ketchup? Don't make me laugh. Bbq sauce? Again no flavor. For these reasons, I say skip it. My 12 son said to give this place half a star so I'm being generous.
