Have yet to be dissatisfied with anything here. Nice hearty breakfast plates for less than what you expect. It's a small dining area, but worth the wait if it's busy.

This review is long overdue. I moved to Riverside about 2 months ago and found Farnsworth Cafe on a walk. It's about a mile from where I live so, perfect for a morning stroll to grab a bite. Always busy yet, they never make you feel rushed. Food is delicious (if you get toast, get the italian) and prices reasonable for the quantity and quality. They obviously have regulars because more than once, someone walked in the door and got a greeting straight from "Cheers". It's really the place where everybody knows your name and very inviting. My s/o and I have eaten there a few times as well as getting take out once. Even getting take out, their fabulous personalities shine. Accidentally called after they closed for lunch and the man (oh how I wish I got his name) told me, "I'm not goin anywhere, I got you. Whatya like?" He then made me and my s/o scrumptious noms for us to come and grab. I was just there today for coffee and french toast. No photos to share for that but, I posted some pictures from a couple visits ago. I highly recommend giving them a try. If you don't like something, they'll give it their all to make it right!

Nice neighborhood breakfast spot! This local spot was busy when we visited and they still were able to serve us quickly. My breakfast was cooked perfectly. Waitstaff was super friendly and checked on us several times for drink refills, which was nice. Definitely worth revisiting!

Upon arrival there is no host. There's a small waiting area where we sat until a waitress stopped by to ask who was next to be seated. We ended up seating ourselves at the counter where it took a while to be noticed. Most of the staff clearly work their tails off. Some of the staff clearly don't. I had the waffle and it was pretty good. Not particularly memorable. I tried my husband's homefries. They were cool and a bit undercooked.

Everything is so favorable and the portion sizes are great! The only negative is I found the mimosas to be very pricey. Wouldn't order those again, but otherwise everything was delicious and service is always great!

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

We were absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of all of their dishes -- everything was packed with authentic, bold flavors that had us savoring every bite. Here's what we ordered: - Steamed little necks and linguica in tomato sauce - Stuffies - Calamari with hot peppers - Shrimp Mozambique - Pan seared scallops in a lemon garlic parsley butter sauce - Grilled octopus with roasted sweet potatoes and garlic toast - Margarita flight - Espresso martini Our personal favorites were the grilled octopus and the steamed little necks but we honestly loved everything we tried! To top it all off, the service was outstanding. Tyler, the manager, was so welcoming and gave us some incredible recommendations. You can really feel how much the team cares about what they're creating, and that passion shines through in every dish and every interaction. Berta, the owner, is doing something truly special here, and this is definitely a spot you need to check out!

We ordered the nachos with everything, who put balsamic vinegar on nachos??? Not a great choice and the guacamole was very salty. I ordered the smelts that were supposed to be served with a vinegar based sauce and fava beans. I like both so why not. It came with seven smelts and three fava beans but plenty of cold vinegar sauce and onions. The sauce should've been warmed up, not so greasy and more beans. I think the smelts were $15, which was fine if it was what was listed on the menu. I'm hoping it was an off night, I know food costs are through the roof and I don't mind paying for great food but this wasn't it, tonight. Maybe the new owner wasn't onsite, we will give it one more chance.
