Perfect cheese slices. Consistent from day to day, year to year. For by-the-slice pizza without frills, it doesn't get better than this. Thin, foldable crust (not that cracker-thin stuff), neutral sauce that doesn't taste like jarred crap, plenty of cheese. Fascati is phenomenal if you're picking up a slice or two but not so much if you're ordering a whole pie. For some reason they always put the toppings underneath the cheese so instead of getting nicely crisp pepperoni I get greasy, chewy pepperoni. Yes, I've asked them not to do that but when the pie is delivered, it's still done the same way. Their mushrooms used to be amazing but not so much anymore. Still, a great slice. read more

Hope you aren't hungry now! Every time we order they make us wait over an hour. Usually 1 hour 15 minutes. They are rude and expensive. Their is a taxi service that operates right next door. They idle their cars outside for hours...Fascati keeps their doors open so the pizza tastes like exhaust. There are now several nice places in the neighborhood that offer comparable pizza and for about 5 bucks cheaper or more! Forget Fascatis. Not worth being treated poorly and waiting forever. read more

Delicious. Ordered a Sicilian pizza with sausage for delivery on Sunday. They were great on the phone, delivery was prompt, and the pizza was delicious...which is especially good because our leftovers will be dinner tonight for the 3rd night in a row! No complaints at all! read more

My family and I have been customers of Fascati Pizza since the day they opened shop. To counter the visitors from R. I. there has never been a "manager" running the business, every day they are open, an owner is on the premises! (from day one, one generation to the next) Having been in retail business, in one form or the other, for over thirty years, I am a keen observer of the interactions between those who sell and those who buy. The fellows there are good merchants and very attentive to each customers desires and whims. Honestly the only time I have ever seen an unhappy customer's is when they walk up to the store and find it closed. Now the most important fact, the food is consistently great. My favorite is chicken parm, ziti and extra sauce- extra sauce is my whim and its always there. Of course I love the pies, salads,extra dressing please another whim. Bread is always plentiful, and when I do take out I choose not to wash silverware and I can not remember them ever forgetting to send it! I may be accused of being biased in my affirmations of this business, and I am being that, only because Fascati Pizza and it's owners deserve it! A very happy customer read more

When I lived in Brooklyn in the late 70's Fascati's was our favorite place for Pizza. We moved out west and I have really missed our favorite. Great pizza, small size enough to feed two. Pasta huge portions as well, meatballs were so-so. Restroom did not work when we visited.

I don't know what happened to this place. The original owners kept the place great and pizza was always on point. Now everttime you go there it's hit or miss as to I'd they are open or not. The guys running it all have nasty attitudes and pizza is definitely not what it used to be. I can't believe that this is the only pizza place in that area. Sad read more

Whoa, was always a fan, but tonight, having ordered, having my order forgotten by the taker and then being effectively told to f'offf whilst following up ... 'we're not Domino's' and hung up on twice by the manager (still TBD if the order is even canceled), in the last 1.5 hours can say that the risk of ordering here and having your evening ruined ... is not worth it. Pizza was ok. The service, however, was deplorable. The delivery man actually cursed at me after a generous tip for a delivery of about five blocks. The good reviews of this place led us here after a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Although we considered Grimaldis we really only wanted a slice - which they don't offer. What a mistake. We couldn't wait for authentic New York style pizza and this was such a disappointment. The pizza was well below average, and the crust/dough tasted like it had been frozen. There was really nothing good to say about it. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. If you are looking for a pizza place in Brooklyn go to Grimaldis (even if you have to get a whole pizza) - we had it later in the week and it was 100% better. read more

We live in the neighborhood and unfortunately have few options for pizza. I really have a love-hate relationship with Fascati's. The food is consistent and very good but their service certainly leaves something to be desired. When I order from the counter the staff is frequently short and rude and when I order delivery the delivery person never bothers to say thank you despite tipping 20%. In my opinion great food is about the entire experience so Fascati's would benefit from focusing on their personnel. read more

We love the flavor of their garlic pizza, with pepperoni & mushrooms. After comparing it with other gourmet pizzerias like Lombardi's & Grimaldi's, Fascati's garlic pizza tasted better. It was the underrated pizza that ran out first at our pizza parties. read more

I happened upon fascati's unsuspectingly when i went to a movie nearby, grabbed a plain slice and gradually came to the realization that it was amazingly good. ate every morsel, marveled at the crust, felt sort of exhilarated (i know, but it was kind of one of those "only in new york" moments for me). I spent the summer of 2007 interning in Manhattan, but I was living out in the SVA dorms right at the Clark Street stop on the 2/3 line. Fascati's, being half a block away, was the closest pizza joint around and boy did it not disappoint. I'm someone who likes their pizza plain and simple: give me a relatively thin crust, a good helping of cheese, and a little flavoring in either the cheese or the tomato sauce and I'm set. This became my go-to dinner spot after a long day at work...nothing beat hopping out of the subway, walking down to the open window at the side and asking for a slice or two of plain cheese. The pies are made fresh on the spot, and on the weekends when it gets pretty busy in the summer, you might have to wait a little bit for fresh pies to be made...but it's definitely worth it. They do take the entire month of August off, which left me without my pizza fix at the end of that summer, but I've made it a point to get out there every now and then for a slice or two. It's not as famous as the pizzeria down the street (Grimaldi's), but the pizza speaks for itself and you won't have to wait in a long line to get in. read more

There's not much choice as far as pizza goes in the section of Brooklyn Heights that borders DUMBO. Fascatis is pretty much it. They are dependable, and all the staff are very nice. The pizza however could be a lot better. It's best eaten when very hot, their mozzarella is not the best quality, so it's quite hard, rubbery and oily if it gets cold. The crust and sauce are very nice though, so that helps a lot. read more

Somewhat frustrating establishment in my mind. In many ways I love this place, I really appreciate the retro look from the outside and the sidewalk window for ordering is appreciated. However, this place really suffers from a lack of consistency. Sometimes the pizza is outrageously good and sometimes lackluster. Not only is it inconsistent but it doesn't even have consistency with its faults... sometimes the pizza has too little sauce, sometimes the crust has a crunchy stale taste, sometimes the cheese is unbearably salty... All this having been said, when they get it dead on this is some of the best pizza I have ever had. read more

OK for slices only. We ordered a pie for delivery and regretted it. The guy who answered the phone acted like I was an idiot for asking the diameter of a large pizza (as opposed to how many slices it was) and said "We're not Domino's." The pizza took over an hour to come and wasn't worth the wait--kind of leathery, as it it had sat a long time after cooking, with scant toppings and little flavor. Not recommended. read more

I live right around the corner from Fascati, and this place is BY FAR my #1 pick for low price food in the area. I usually like all sorts of toppings, but I think Fascati makes a great plain slice and I usually stick with that. It's clean and well run as well. read more

Easily satisfied by any sort of pizza, but Fascati is strange (in a temperamental sort of way). Having frequent here often, I find their pizza is best fresh from the oven. After a minute or if they have to reheat it (which they almost always do for slices), its a whole different experience. The crust becomes very dry and the cheese hardens. Their pizza also has a very salty taste. The guy who compared it to eating a saltine cracker was dead on. There is definitely better pizza in the heights and dumbo. read more

When I moved from Hells Kitchen to Brooklyn Heights, I was in mourning for my old pizza place (Sacco) until I discovered Fascati. It is a great place to grab a slice, although if you are in the mood for a sandwich, their chicken parm is pretty tasty as well. My only complaint is that Fascati closes pretty early, around 10ish, but I guess that is typical for Brooklyn Heights. read more

The best pizza by the slice shop in Brooklyn. No contest. I take the 10-15 minute walk for the fantastic pizza, and tasty fountain soda. It's pretty cheap, and also gets points for the authentic exposed brick wall. Loses a star for minimal seating. Hey Fascati, put a bench out front in the summertime. read more
